7 West

One of my worst food experiences.

After reading several positive ratings, we decided to give 7 a try. The ambience and location seemed very inviting. We tried to order two of the starters, but we're told that they were not available. On to our third choice....mozzarella sticks. Very basic starter available at most places, but we're told after 15 minutes that these were not available either. Not our favorite pick, but we were very hungry, so expected the selection to be an easy one to fill! We asked for something quick as we were hungry and were presented with Calmari after another 10 minutes. It was barely edible and unfortunately the best dish of the evening. For the mains we ordered a Caesars salad (pretty hard to screw up....so we thought) and seafood pasta. The pasta sauce was ok, but the seafood (scallops, calamari and other??) were absolutely horrible. They were obviously frozen and over cooked rubber. The Caesars was the worst! The dressing must have been substituted with mayonnaise!

We felt bad for the waiter,as the kitchen and management obviously left him out to dry.

So much potential....what a disappointment!!

We went here for lunch. There is a great view of the harbor and you can people watch all afternoon. Make sure to request an outdoor table. The bathroom was pretty nice compared to many of the others we saw.

The food was good and reasonably priced. The wait staff was friendly although it seemed they were a little light staffed in the afternoon.

A few days ago I went to bar/restaurant 7 west in Oranjestad..
We came there, the waiter welcomed us and we sit down.
What a great view you have in this restaurant!! And the ambiance it's just WOW !

However the food was great for a good price and service was wonderfull..
You have to visit this restaurant otherwise your visit @ Aruba is not complete!!

i had lunch at 7-west last weekend and i must say it was one of the best lunch wraps i had ever had so far good job to the chefs i believe it was an BLT wrap Delicious.i liked the way they presented it, the service could have been better but lets not complain we were on vacation. i surly recommend anyone to checkout 7-west.

Another one of our "must see" restaurants in Aruba. A concept restaurant unlike any other that I am used to. Go hungry as the servers will offer you some of the most tender meat you have ever had. Terrific service, great salads and ambiance make this restaurant a must for us in the future.

We had heard some very good things about this restaurant before leaving for ARUBA and we were determined to try it out. The restaurant is relatively new and is experiencing some growth issues. The food was good but the service was really way off. What should have been less than a 45 minute lunch on a bad day turned into a two hour ordeal. Fortunately we were not ina rush to get anywhere and we did want to experience the restaurant as best we could. At this time we can only say the place has some real potential but we feel that it is being stifled by its location (acros the street from Little Caesars towards the cruise ship terminal area and one flight up) and a staff that is still developing its character. We are hopeful that the restaurant will be a success and will return next year to see what progress they have made.

Very nice restaurant, enjoyed the meal and the service was good. The view was also nice and next year I will visit again.

Just had dinner here tonight and it was great! We both started with soup, one French Onion and one Potato and Bacon soup. Then for entrees we had one Garlic Shrimp Pasta and one Amaretto Chicken. Both of us had generous portions and all the food was so good! The pan bati bread was a nice touch, too. Nice addition to downtown!

We just got married ,after the wedding we had a table reserved for 16 people at 7 west Restaurant.The table was nicely decorated the food was more than we expected .We will just like to say thank you for making our day memorable.

I went with a group of friends to the "All You Can Eat Sushi Friday". After more than two hours of waiting for food, nothing came up! Apparently there was a lack of the sushi wrapping material. IN A RESTAURANT???

Of course, we left disgusted and hungry. We drank a couple of wine bottles waiting for them to provide us food, and they charged for everything... I'm not saying they should have left us go for free, but at least the drinks we got waiting after the period where food should have arrived could have been waived or discounted. That leaves you an idea how much did they care for the mistake they did.

I was there on a friday and it was a $25 all you can eat sushi! WAW! sushi was amazing! especially the fried roll & the 7west roll. They thought of everything while putting this place together! nice view from the balcony with a cool sea breeze hitting you constantly. Cozy lights, relaxing music, nice down to earth servers! Presentation of food and dessert was very contemporary and unique with details. Bathroom is new and as clean as can be. And they also have a special elevator for people in wheelchairs which is a plus! NICE JOB 7WEST! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!

It's now a new restaurant named SevenWest and I was amazed how wonderfull this place is even the toilets are fabulous. Dinner was great but what a beautifull place.
