our favorite!

My husband and I just returned from 3 weeks in Aruba. We dined at Amadeus 4 times! Does that tell you something? There's nothing that we don't love about this place! I used to only insist on dining al fresco - and, on the beach. No more. Since finding Amadeus when it first opened, it was pure love. Thomas and Frank know what they're doing. We always feel like we've come home when we get there. Now we have to wait 11 months until we can dine there again. But - wait, we will.

My husband and I had a wonderful evening at Amadeus. The food was wonderful as was the service. It is so nice to have the owner come to your table and help you with the evenings selections.

At the end of the evening, there is a special treat, a liquer made especially for Amadeus.

I always check the reviews of restaurants before we go to Aruba each year, this was one that was recommended and now we know why.

Absolutely delicious food in an old world setting with beautiful wood decor. Waitress was tops. Be sure to leave room for one of the fantastic desserts. We would recommend the strawberries and cream to delight both your vision and taste buds. YUM!

We were in Aruba for 3 1/2 weeks and went to Amadeus three times. The food is excellent and the service is outstanding.
I always have the garlic shrimp which is wonderful. My husband would eat here everynight if he could. The after dinner drink (The Lost Symphony) is excellent.
We have been coming to Amadeus since they opened and will be back.

We eat here every year. They have the best weiner schnitzel we have ever had. The ribs were just ok. The food and service keep us coming back every year. The only complaint is depending on where you are sitting, the air conditioning can be too much.

We visted this wonderful restaurant February 3, 2012 on the first night we arrived in Aruba. Frank greeted us at the door and showed us to our table upstairs. Linda was our waitress and described all the menu items in detail. We generally ask for a pitcher of water to be left at our table but here the water was filled immediately. Frank was very visible the whole evening checking on tables and making sure everything was perfect. Appetizers were exceptional tasting and the presentation was delightful. We had one special which was a veal roast and I had the tilapia and both dishes were served with just the right amount of vegetables and potatoes. The strawberry dessert is the best I've ever had anywhere. We had friends come in the following week and we canceled another restaurant to come back to Amedaus. We were not disappointed. One had the duck and everyone who tried it said it was cooked to perfection, portion was amazing and there was enough to take home. They raved about all the food and will be back when they visit this summer. We will also be back. Thank you Frank for a wonderful two evenings in Aruba.

My husband and I went to Amadeus for our Valentine's Dinner and it was absolutely magnificent. The atmosphere, the service and the food were beyond great. I would definitely go back to this restaurant. In fact we will probably go back this week and bring friends who are in Aruba with us so they can experience this incredible restaurant. And thank you to Frank for his friendly and courteous attention.

Our first time here tonight and can't say enough good about it. We were immediately greeted by Frank in a cordial and friendly manner. The wait staff was very professional friendly and attentive. I ordered the stroganoff which was superb and my wife had Surf 'n Turf and found it to be excellent. For the quality of the service and food the prices are very reasonable. Amadeus will definatly be in our plans our next visit to Aruba.

For an appetizer,we had the Potato soup, very good. For the main course, we had the chef special, roast veal. It was served with goulash and fried vegetables, both done very well and served piping hot. Gravy for the veal was too salty for us, but we are both on low sodium diets, but we ate it all. They serve a great herb bread along with the meal. Shared a sacher tort for dessert. First time I tried it, so nothing to compare it to. We liked it as it had a nice chocolate taste, not too sweet. Service was as good as it gets, prompt, friendly and efficient. We will return next time we visit Aruba

My husband and I discovered Amadeus when some guests of ours recommended it. My husband is Hungarian so the Schnitzel was a real hit with us - it was like dining in Vienna! We took my father-in-law who is a chef there for Christmas dinner and he gave it 5 stars. We love it there - the food - the service are top notch and are going there for dinner with some returning guests next week. And when we arrived on Island this year and I called to make a reservation, Frank remembered us - how good is that? Try their Lost Symphony liquor - amazing!

We went to check the restaurants after reading very positive reviews. We find it being a mediocre restaurant, nothing bad about it, but nothing great as well. The food, decor and service very uninspiring. We had a feeling that the staff is in a process of learning how to do a good job, but not really there yet.

Well, it wasn't that great. We like good food and regularly submit reviews to Zagat and Yelp. The waitress told us the shrimp cocktail had big jumbo shrimp, but we got shrimpy shrimp. The cocktail sauce was like french dressing and didn't do anything for the shrimp. The bread was not as good as last visit. Beef stroganoff was good, but nothing was great.

Our bill had a $28 excess charge, and asking to get that fixed got us a tirade from the owner-chef. Very rude. He should stay in the kitchen and avoid interaction with guests. The other co-owner, very polite, straightened it out, but not before a rude senior waitress (not ours) tried to "help out" by telling us to just pay up. The poor service rating is not because there was mistake on the bill, that happens. It's because of how it was handled. If it had remained uncorrected, we would have rated it much lower. Our waitress, while friendly, needed better training to avoid this kind of mistake.

The restaurant was about half full, due, they said, to many no-shows. That is equally rude, on the part of the no-shows, but don't take out your wrath on the guests who actually show up.

I really enjoyed my experience at this restaurant and plan on making it an annual stop. The food was well seasoned and everyone, including the owners, were very friendly. The only negative I could find was that there was no kids menu or crayons... But, we had the wiener schnitzel, tilapia, stroganoff, and three of the desserts... And all was very good. my daughter did enjoy tasting a bit of everything.

our new favorite restaurant!
we've heard about this restaurant from so many of our friends but never had dinner there. (big mistake on our part)
we finally went there last Thursday for our thanksgiving celebration. our group of 6 all had different dishes.
we all had a little bite off of each others dishes, all prepared to perfection.
and the service... very attentive. i wish more restaurants would care so much for their patrons.
we had such a great evening, we will certainly be back for more before we go home.
...and their special after dinner drink... NICE TOUCH!
like i said, my new favorite restaurant!!!

We are coming always to Amadeus and never I mean never had a bad experience ,we where looking at the reviews and saw the one from Jonny I cant believe that somebody gives a 1 for Food and Environment ,Amadeus is one, if not the most elegant place on the Island so my advise to Jonny stay @ Burger King and don’t eat out and put a restaurant down like that they don’t disserve that they are hardworking and always give their best and they are good in this, which normal people can see from al the reviews they have.
Yesterday was a another great meal with no complains from our party of 6 .Great Job Guys and don’t worry about stupid reviews like that heads up

We were looking for a restaurant to have our wedding rehearsal dinner in Aruba. We ended up choosing Amadeus and we're so glad we did. Frankie was so helpful in planning this dinner, he offered many different options for my guests. He was always professional and friendly. We had dinner for 36 people and the price was more than reasonable. We had a choice of tournedos of beef, chicken schnitzel and pan fried grouper. The food that Thomas cooked for us was amazing, the service was incredible and the servers were so attentive and friendly. We had the entire second floor. We had a rowdy crowd and they put up with us with smiles. I think they had as much fun as we did!

This restaurant is among the best in Aruba. Try it, you won't be disappointed.
