Have been to Aqua Grill several times before, and once again, it did not disappoint. Went with a party of 10 and all enjoyed their meals. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and the indoor area is kept "very" cool. We will definitely be back!
For appetizers, the tuna tataki, mussles, and oysters were a hit. The New England clam chowder had great flavor but there was 1 clam in the huge bowl of soup.
For entrees, the black grouper, tuna, and swordfish were perfectly prepared with a herb citrus sauce. Steaks were also very good and prepared to the proper temperature. Skip the fried haddock fillet that came out mushy and cold, and the baked potato that was steamed, gray in color, and old.

Went to eat on a friday night with no reservation. Place was empty at 6:30 maybe 20 tables open. The hostesses were beyond rude. Looked at my 3 year old and said we would have to wait a half hour since we had no reservation with a smirk on their faces. VERY RUDE AND NOT FOR ANYONE WITH A CHILD. WE WERE OBVIOUSLY NOT WANTED. Had a wonderful meal at the Italian restaurant right across the way. They were so wonderful and the food was delicious. Aqua Grill should rethink how they welcome their customers. They can take a lesson from Oscar across the street.

I've told everyone, it was the best meal I've ever had! My choices were, Caribbean Martini, delicious! Crab fritters as an appitizer, a bit spicey, it did say wasabi sauce in the description. Again, they were delicious, only bad thing was there was only 3 of them, could of eaten a platter full. The entree special was a trifin something, on palenta. Excellent!, a bit spicey, but again I knew from the description it would be. All so, so good! Too bad I didn't have room for desert.

After having dinner at Amazonia we decided to try their next door restaurant Aqua Grill and we don’t regret. Have never tasted crab cakes that are so good. My mom had tuna tataki. I order seabass as a main course and my mom scallops. All was delicious! The Pinot Grigio our waitress Andrea recommended was also very nice. If you like seafood (and good wine) you should absolutely go to Aqua Grill.

Horrible, just horrible. Ordered crab, but got some mush brown smurry out of the fry instead. If I order fish, it should look like the fish I ordered. Serve side potato's, or better the potato's lying under the fish, looked if they were consumed before and barfed out. Overcooked, wrong color. Salad contained 1 roman leave, 1 slice of cucumber and 1 whole cherry tomato tossed in the midst of things. The 3 (!!!) green asperges were cold and raw. Bread with plain butter, no tapenade, no garlic butter. Had 1 glass of wine, 1 apatizer and 1 entree and down $70,- HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?!?

Ate here on our last night - was unfortunately our worst meal of the week. The dining room was beautiful but way too hot. All three of us were sweating during dinner! Service was poor - nobody ever refilled our water or asked how our food was. The appetizers and entrees were bland without much flavor. Did not stay for dessert. Would not go back with so many other great restaurants in Aruba.
Overall Terrible!

Our last night in Aruba we went to Aqua Grill. We have been there before but it seemed better than ever. With reservations, we were seated promptly and the service was very good. Crab cake appetizer as well as the grilled portobello and special crab bignets were excellent. P.S. Watch out for a very spicy sauce on the crab special that is not mentioned in the description. Grilled snapper and blackened wahoo were fantastic with a nice vegetable medley on the side. Definitely worth a try for great fish and there are a few items on the menu for non-fish eaters.

Our Valentine's Day dinner at Aqua Grill will rate with one of the worst dining experiences in Aruba over our 2 year stay on the island. We went about a year ago and had a great meal and experience. However, I say it was the worst because of the service. We must have had either the worst waiter on the island, the one who cared the least, or both. The table beside ours (sat 15 mins after us) left after not getting to order or drinks for over an hour. We got the Valentine's day special and were served soup w/ no spoons, drinks every half hour, and Med Rare steak was under cooked for one (extremely rare)for our dining party of 6. Actually, when I got my main course, it was pretty good. Lobster tail was cooked exceptionally. However, because of the service and the management's lack of understanding, we will NEVER GO BACK. Don't waste your time or money, there are better places to enjoy your dining experience in Aruba.

The decor is lovely and the food is well prepared. Only a few things they might want to give some attention to: it was ok to be asked upon check-in what hotel we were staying at but why did they want to know our room number? The serving of meat/fish is not big enough. It is not fun to pay nearly $30 for your entree and still be a little hungry afterwards. The service was excellent.

I am a little late with this, but we ate at Aqua Grill Feb., 2010. The Cioppino was not quite up to their usual standards, but the Calamari and the Blackened Wahoo deserved a "10". The Key Lime Pie was not great, but the service was fine as always. We go every year, sometimes twice, as it is generally a good restaurant.

A big disappointment. My seafood platter consisted of overcooked, rubbery shrimp, tasteless scallops, very fishy-tasting haddock. Only the calamari was decent. I will say that my husband's chicken dish was OK, but this is a seafood restaurant, so why should you have to order chicken to get an acceptable meal? The service was terrible - there were lots of waiters standing around talking to each other, ignoring the diners. When I complained about the food, no offer to substitute or compensate was made, just a "sorry you didn't enjoy it". For these prices, the quality should not be worse than at a Long John Silver's fast food.

we were to Aqua several years ago and found it to be quite good, however this time it was a disappointment.

The resturant was not at all busy and the service was quite slow considering
that there were only 18 people at 8:00PM

The price for the portion was expensive
compared to other meals we have enjoyed in Aruba.

We had the Visit Aruba Plus Card which
which was to give us a free dessert.
When we asked which dessert we could have we were told anything on the menu, however they never said we were only entitled to one desert and had to pay for one. In several
Aruba brochures they advertise a glass of wine for each meal
When the card questioned Aqua they said that was their policy but would change in the future, < not good for us>

All things equal we will not return or recommend in the future based on the service--- price-- portion-- as there
are too many other resturantsthat are much better.

Ate there on Father's Day after have been there a previous Father's Day. It was a major let down. My son's scallops were essentially rancid and had to be sent back. His shrimp, though, was excellent as was my wife's dish. My fish soup's fish was clearly old, having a strong smell and taste. For a seafood place, having smelly, bad tasting fish was a shock. The servers were moderately attentive but we kept having to ask for water. Since we were sitting outside, that should not have happened. Clearly, will not be going back.

Our friends recommended Aqua Grill. The fish was excellent, very fresh, and far more selection than the usual grouper that most restaurants have. We ate inside, the a/c was quite chilly, so bring a sweater if you get cold. It's somewhat upscale (but still casual). We didn't have reservations but were seated within 5 minutes. If you want to sit outside, you need reservations. We would definitely return here.

Definitely one of the better restaurants on the island. All four of us had a great dinner and the service was excellent. The only reason I didn't give 10s for the food and presentation was because we were at Challet Suisse which I rate as the best food I had on the island (but the service was not good). I would recommend this place to everyone.

Aqua Grill was nothing better, or nothing worse than you would expect. I had the fish (mahi) and it was very good. My wife had the roasted chicken and absolutely loved it. Somewhat upscale setting. All the food was prepared well, but there was nothing to separate the Aqua Grill from any other comparable restaurant in Aruba. That being said, I would recommend it for a very good (but maybe somewhat boring) meal. I suppose predictably good food is a good thing :)

To be prefectly honest, if we had not received a voucher for $100, we may not have eaten here. The prices are quite high but the seafood is really good. One person in our party had the tuna appetizer and he shared with everyone. It was really good. Maybe we would go back next year and maybe not.

Other than the Tuna the food was good but not great. Service was very good but not great.

We like to really take our time over dinner and felt a bit rushed.

We went there with high recomendations and made online reservation 2 months ago. I am not sure they even had the reservation. Half the restaurant was empty and they stuck us in a nosiy room next to very large tables. No one came to our table so we had it moved to another area. I ordered my dinner(red snapper) and the waiter came out it was not available that evening. So i ordered the special and in five minutes he came out again and it was not available. The manager came over and just said sorry with no attempt at making a bad situation better. We left the restaurant with our neighbors agreeing we did the correct thing. Walked two blocks and had the best dinner in a long time at Wacky Wahoo. Do yourself a favor and go there first for better service and better food. Bon Bini
