for this restaurant
Such a pleasant location on the sea, with fishes swimming in the lights and cruise ships sailing off into the night. Too bad the airport is right there as well, with all the jets!
Food was just so so - we started with ceviche (or something they called ceviche) but was a poor example. Salad was basic. We had grouper (which was fine, but mine at home is superior) and Aruban stew (so thick and so dark, like it had been sitting in the pot for a day or three.
No return trips for this dude!
Would not recommend
Had dined here when this was Mirandis which i loved and we decided to give this new restaurant a chance. While the service was excellent and the location was wonderful the food was just ok. We ordered the serviche expecting it to be wonderful and a hint of spice. Menu indicated it came with avocado and banana. The serviche was not cold and lacked flavour. The avocado was pureed and the banana a smashed fried plaintain. Although the grouper ratatouille was flavorful, the ratatouille consisted of corn and brocoli. The risotto it was served with was just rice. The trio of fish was very good. The fish soup tasted like gravy, nothing special. Will not visit again since there are so many better restaurants on the island. The ambience is nice with the addition of stringed colored lights.
WE LIKE THE CHANGE!
Just returned from out trip to Aruba and we decided we must share our dinner experience at Arubaville. During our past visits we dined at this location when it was Mirandi. We were uncertain whether we would like the change, but we really did. We invited friends to join us and we all raved about the beauty of the view, the delicious food, the value for the money and the efficiency and friendliness of the service. Our friends and us agree that this restaurant is a must visit when we return to Aruba in 2016.
Great spot to chill
I went to Arubaville a few times on my recent trip to Aruba. We had the carpaccio (which they didn't serve with bread and we had to pay $5 for an order of bread, which seemed a little much) and chicken wings. Food and drinks were good and the view was amazing. Shared a bucket of Balashi with my husband in the hammocks upstairs and ahhh it was paradise. Also went for dinner another night and really enjoyed the live music (they should have live music more than one night per week as the environment and location is perfect for it!) and the happy hour. A great spot and nice re-vamp to the old Marandi.
