Love this place!

This Italian Restaurant is off the beaten path and so worth visiting! The staff, manager and chef were so nice. We went there 3 times! The food was delicious.....calamari and the bolognese sauce were amazing. And, they have outdoor seating!

really good food, reasonable prices

We own a house in Aruba and spend several months there each year. DaVinci's is one of our 'go to' places and we either have dinner there or drinks and a margarita pizza every couple weeks or so. The food is always very good. DaVinci's food is definitely tastier and the prices much lower than the other Italian restaurant located 100 steps closer to the strip. Restaurant service in the Caribbean generally can be somewhat "relaxed" which is how I like it. When I want to race through my meal, I eat fast food. DaVinci's is located on a little walking street with a half dozen other restaurants. There are always people strolling by which we enjoy and is what we are accustomed to in our Chicago neighborhood in the summer. We like and recommend DaVinci's.

So Sorry Stephone stick to the Salt and Peppe

We were sooooooo disappointed! We went Monday evening after going to the other Real Italian Restaurant in the same complex the night before. I had the same entrée I had at the other restaurant Chicken Parmesan. It was not close to the first but it was less than ½ the price. I don’t quite remember what but there was something missing. The wine was to GAG for, get the Sangria! The table next to us had tenderloin that looked scrumptious so we decided to give that a try for Tuesday night, a sad error on our part. We had a very loud obnoxious girl and her mother at a table close. Many customers were upset over her loudness and the waiter did nothing about it. The steak did not look at all like the night before but rather was puny. The waiter did not know much about being a waiter and ½ hour after ordering he informed us (as the meal was about to come out) that there were no potatoes! I’m sorry, how could you not know that you could not produce the ordered potatoes! The meat was a bit overdone but I did not complain. We will NEVER return.
Go to one of the owners other resteraunt (Salt and Pepper) as it is much better!

VINDICATION

WELL - it has only taken some four (4) months for someone (GERRYA) to confirm our observations of this dreadful place and to validate our position that "if Leonardo DaVinci were alive today, he would be embarassed to have his name associated with this establishment!" Of greater concern to us is that we note that the review that we posted to that effect in March 2012 was removed from the list of reviews. This is supposed to be an impartial forum which should allow for positive and negative reviews. We do not write negative reviews without reason and we try to be impartial, objective, informative, and constructive in all of our reviews. This place, in our opinion, is not deserving of a positive review and is simply another one of those Aruban restaurants that do injustice to fine Italian Cuisine. If you want good Italian food in Aruba go to ANNA MARIA'S. Respect Leonardo and do not eat here - we won't be. Oh, thanks GERRYA (had our prior review been left in place you might have been spared the experience).

What a difference a year makes

We had been to Da Vinci last year at the same period and had a very delighful dining experience. I would have rated it a 9 overall experience. This year we had decided early on that we would return to Da Vinci and made it a point. Well, the food was very average and the service poor. The waiter paid little attention to our presence and could not answer the simplest of questions about the specials. We were extremely disappointed and what a letdown. I dare to say that we will be venturing onwards to other dining venues.

excellent food

We were there in November and went to DaVinchis twice the food was excellent. We went back in March and ate there 4 times. We were never disappointed with the food, it was always excellent. The staff and Evert are always very friendly and welcoming. One night when we were there one of the waiters who was off that night saw us sitting there and came over to talk to us. We will go there every trip to Aruba.

Very Nice!

On the way to the restaurant, our taxi driver tried to talk us out of going here. Said she didn't like DaVinci's and there were better places to go. Maybe she was getting kickbacks from the restaurant she recommended, but luckily we ignored her and went to DaVinci's based on reviews here. It was a wise decision. The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish. Great care was taken in presentation, and the sauces were wonderful. Our only complaint was that we had a second rate waiter who couldn't seem to check back with us or clear empty dishes despite the fact that only one other party was eating at the time. Happily, the food more than made up for it, and the prices were very reasonable by Aruba standards. Give it a try!

our favorite restaurant in Aruba

Unfortunately we found Da Vinci Restaurant the night before we had to leave Aruba - had we found it sooner we would have dined there as much as possible - we loved the food, the presentation, the watress and the manager who spent time talking to us while we were there. The food and prices of the meals were unbelivable. I have told friends about Da Vinci and told them to make sure to visit the restaurant when they go to Aruba in September.
Until next year...I remain one of your happiest customers.

Tues 09/20 Da Vincis
I had called for reservations to Wacky Wahoos and earliest I could get was at 8:30. DW thought that was too late so we cancelled and made another reservation to Wackys for the following night. Since we both enjoyed our meals at DaVincis on Sunday, we decided on that for tonight. We ordered a Margerita pizza as appetizer and for dinner DW had the Gamberoni della Casa (grilled jumbo shrimp marinated in garlic olive oil with parsley) and I had Spaghetti a la Putanesca as I was still in the mood for pasta. We had our usual cocktails (Margerita and vodka martini) and a bottle of a Nero dAvola. Food, beverages, and service was excellent.

Sun 09/18 - Da Vinci's
We were thinking of trying this place when we went to Rembrandt's on 09/14. Da Vinci's is located across from Rembrandt's in the South Beach Centre and we had heard that it's owned by the same folks that own Rembrandt's. I've been disappointed and down on Italian restaurants in Aruba, but since it was owned by the folks that run Rembrandt's (which we like) thought it was worth a try. They have a large variety of pasta dishes you can select the type of pasta from Spaghetti, Fettucine, Penne, and Cheese Tortellini to go with any of their sauces. DW had Penne with shrimp (Gamberoni del Chef) and I had Spaghetti Matriciana. We had our usual drinks (Margerita for DW & a Vodka martini for me). We had a bottle of Malbec with the meal. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Service was excellent. Only negative was that we first sat at one of the outside tables & were getting eaten alive by mosquitos as there was not much of a breeze this evening. We also noticed that people sitting outdoors at Rembrandt's were having the same problem. So, we asked to be moved indoors - problem solved. We would definitely return.
