Faro Blanco Restaurant
Situated atop of the Hudishibana hill right next to Aruba’s most famous landmark the California lighthouse is our hidden gem. The Faro Blanco Restaurant which once was the dwellings of the lighthouse keeper now serves Aruba and it's guests the best in Italian cuisine.

As the only restaurant boasting this unique location, guests can enjoy a truly unspoiled view over Aruba’s west coast untouched nature. The sunset and views over Aruba create a spectacular palette of colors, ideal for taking pictures and creating new and lasting memories.

VERY DISAPOINTED!!!

Aug 18, 2013 - posted by
After reading the reviews for this place, with most being positive, I had very high expectations for La Trattoria at El Faro Blanco for my first trip to Aruba. BIG DISAPOINTMENT!!! I cannot comprehend why so many positive reviews for their food and service? The food lacked finesse and proper seasoning. Service had no personality, and at times a bid rude. Their tomato sauce has absolute no taste. Kudos to all the parmigiano cheese for helping my eggplant appetizer taste a little better. My girlfriend seemed to have enjoyed her caprese salad appetizer; however her osso cuco dinner was extremely salty and a little tough. I had ordered the gnocchi with Bolognese sauce. The sauce tasted like it came out of can. This place is overpriced and the food is horrible. I will never come back, nor will I recommend anyone to come here, except for the amazing view this place has to offer. I agree with other reviewers. Save your money. Come here, take your pictures, have a glass or water and leave.

Wonderful Evening

We haven't been to this restaurant since our honeymoon 11 years ago but wanted our daughter to experience the setting.
What a pleasant surprise to have a great meal to go with the perfect location. Although they do not have a children's menu, they allow you share without an additional fee.
My wife and daughter split the chicken parm dinner and it was as close to a NY chicken parm we have had in Aruba. I had the grilled lamb chops that were amazing.

Our server, Theo, was very helpful and provided excellent service.

We will be recommending friends and family to this restaurant.

The View Is Special

Aruba's highest restaurant looks out over the Sea and the northern third of the island. We had lunch: The fish and seafood soup was excellent and the carpaccio was done well, but a vegetarian sandwich was not because they do not have good bread. Service was good, not great.

We had made reservations but they did not have them on the books, we had laser lights shining on us as a light show was being set up, very uncomfortable. The food was very poor, my crepes were hard and the sauce was flaky as if it been under a very hot lamp, my husband's risotto was dry and more like a paella, the lasagne was overcooked and so was the veal. Not what we expected at all, very disappointing. For the prices charged we were totally ripped off, better food in a cafeteria.

We heard to go for a drink but not the food,,so we did,,we observed great looking dishes comming out so we returned two nights later with friends...The food was very good. We had pasta dishes and veal. Presentation was great and wonderful service...The view speaks for itself. We suggest this as a must place to go...We are 6 time Aruba guests from North Jersey and all of us are Italian and felt the food was very good.

The view from here is amazing and should not be missed. And unlike some places with great views, the food was also very good. We ate on the balcony and the entire evening was wonderful. The appetizer and dessert were the best. The chicken in my pasta dish was a little dry, but still very good. The service was dependable but not hovering. We will go back.
