We went to Hard Rock Cafe, because we've been there before and liked the ambiance.
This time, however, we got a terrible service.
When we got there, the hostess showed us to our seats and then nothing happened!
Nobody came to ask us what we wanted to drink.
There were many servers/waiters walking around, but it seems that they were busy doing nothing (The restaurant was empty).
We really wanted to leave, because obviously no one seemed to care.
After waiting for 8 minutes (gasp!!), my husband approached the hostess to ask what was going on.
Finally, we were helped. The waiter apologized, but then brought us a beer that had already expired!!
The service is terrible and I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there. This is a pity, because as I said before, we've been there and never experienced such a lousy service. When Hard Rock Cafe opened, there were many locals working there and the service was excellent. I really feel that the current employees are in dire need of a course to help them to be service minded and friendlier.
We went around 7pm which we thought would be the busy hour for them...it was empty and I mean dead empty. That should've been our first sign to turn around and find something else. We got seated our waiter was very good, and we ordered a cheese stick appetizer and it was very good. Then we got our main courses.....all of our chicken was dry, like it was pretty close to sand. The salads were bitter even with dressing and the pasta was just gross. After the awful meal we decided we wanted our check. We had 4 people at our table and we ordered 3 entress, 1 appetizer, and 1 coke and the rest had waters. It came out to be $86, yes in US dollars. (close to $150 AFL) I would NOT recommend this so called "restaraunt" head down to Wendy's down the road I'm sure their chicken won't taste like sand...
This review is a little late but we went to Hard Rock Aruba in Sept 2009. We had a great time, food and service was terrific. I dont recall the name of the band that played that evening but they were very good. I always visit Hard Rock Cafes when we travel. We will be back in Aruba in Sept 2010 and plan to visit again.
Excelent Food and great service
