Very poor quality food and service...
We vacationed in Aruba last week. We were by the high rise hotels and saw the lunch special for Wednesday (boneless wings / fries for $5.99) and figured we'd stop for lunch. We have been to various Hooters in the US and were looking forward to it. I must say, this was one of the worst meals we've had at Hooters. The boneless chicken was so greasy and we had ordered mild boneless wings, so they sent them out without any sauce. The waitress brought out food that we did not order and was more worried about hula-hooping than attending her only table. I was a bit disappointed and it doesn't surprise me that we were 1 of 2 tables in the resturant that was occupied. We will not be returning to this location.
My wife and I originally visited the restaurant in 2005, and not much has changed since then. The menu, which emphasizes chicken wings and burgers, was comparable to the United States. Service was prompt and attentive. The restaurant is clean. It was worth it for the price, as we had no unusual expectations for this place. We would definitely return for a change of pace to the other restaurants on the island. I really would not bring kids to this place. It is more for adults or if you want a decent sports bar to follow your favorite team with a cold Balashi and good friends. It is my understanding that the restaurant is moving sometime later this year.
I was yesterday watching the games of Patriot and it was wonderfull. It was raining but still we enjoy every minute
I highly recomment this place
Typical Hooters - food is wings ' n' burgers and done ok. Friendly service by young ladies who would never get a job at Hooters elsewhere! They did not possess world-class Hooters!!
The best chicken wings on the island and ice cold Balashi beer. Like in the state a place to hangout and watch some sport events. Girls were very friendly and helpfull. We will go back any time
discusting place, stinking like a McD, unbelieveble who this can still be around, close it!
Last week walking around the hotel area we decided to have dinner at Hooters. The Chicken wings "Daytona style" were the best. The servers were very attentive and even did some Hula Hoop with my son. Overall a great dinning experience
We have not been to many other Hooter locations, but this one in Aruba was definitely disappointing enough to not return:
- very poor service (restaurant was not even full-house and there were many waitresses and kitchen staff on the job);
- unfriendly waitresses;
- orders taken wrongly on beverage and spicyness of wings; we were served a plate that we did not order;
- extremely long wait to be served our orders (approx 40 mins).
If this was the cheapest restaurant in town, perhaps one would settle for it, but for more or less the same price (for comparable food items) in a casual/sports bar dining environment, you would get so much more for your money at TGIF or Iguana Joe´s which are excellent places!.
Our teenaged son asked to be taken to Hooters for lunch on his birthday...I wonder why, ha-ha?? The wings, burgers, hot dog and other food was very tasty. The service was lovely as well. While this is not a fancy place, we truly enjoyed our meal.
We enjoy Hooters' restaurants, and this one was no exception. We received excellent service and the wings were great. I also had a very good Miami Vice while we waited on our wings. To us, this was a welcomed change of pace, and we will definitely return.
If you have been to a Hooters elsewhere, its no different here. Service is excellent. Friendly staff.
Being outdoors to dine lets you enjoy the street sounds below and Aruba's tropical breeze.
If you want an inexpensive meal at a restaurant and nothing arubian or caribbean on the menu, Hooters is the alternative.
Mondays is buy 10 wings get 10 free from 1-5pm. Tuesdays is kids eat free and on Fridays is two for one drinks.
Chicken wings are the main feature. If you are looking for a healthy fare go elsewhere. This is the place to hang out, have drinks and eat without guilt.
Excuse me, but never in my entire life have I eaten such yuckie, greasy chickenwings. Unbelievable....Maybe they are meant to be called "oil, topped with chickenwings". I immediately felt zits and cellulite appearing on all parts of my body. And the carrots and cellery they serve with them don't compensate the harm in any way!..PLease, for wings go to KFC. If it weren't for the "Hooters", this restaurant would be long gone...
Don't look for this to be any different from any other Hooters. That is why they call them chain restaurants. Wait staff very friendly and on top of the service. Chicken wings just like all other Hooters, consistant. Nice to hang at a place in AC and watch the Patriots beat Miami while drinking cold beer. We really enjoyed some fine restaurants in Aruba but this was a nice change of pace.
Exactly what you'd expect from Hooters. Good food, reasonable prices. Nice break from the fancy, pricey Aruban restaurants.
hooters is hooters. we went there for the wings twice while we were in aruba last week. im glad to see that nothing changes this place. it was exactly what we were looking for. place is clean and servers are friendly.
I'm sorry to say it, but Hooter's was as average as it gets.......nothing special here, no Aruban twist, just dowright average.
There are so many more different restaurants to visit while in Aruba.
Our recommendation......go to Hooter's when in the USA, not Aruba!
We visited Hooters in January of this year. We had a very early flight back to Boston and knew that we would NOT get a decent meal on US Airways in Coach. The restaurant was clean, the service was fast, and the menu was what was expected for burgers and fries. There were not many people in the restaurant and the waitresses were kind and understanding. It was worth it for the price, and we had no unusual expectations for this place. We would go back again under the same circumstances. I really would not bring kids to this place. It is more for adults or if you want a decent sports bar to follow your favorite team.
Typical Hooters like here in the states, but you know what you are going to get! The place was clean and service was good. Pina Coladas were excellent! We had lunch, hubby had wings and fries, just like at home he said! I had an excellent garden salad with grilled chicken, the chicken was excellent, tender, well seasoned and the salad was fresh and crisp. Great place if you want a casual dinner or lunch with familiar food and service.
If you're in the mood for a hot dog, stop by. If you wouldn't go to Hooters at home, why go here?
