A really nice and elegant restaurant, but me and my wife got there and there we had to wait a lot before we got our server. the water had some soap i think and i was like shamed to say something about it. when our waitress came and we she said as a joke "sorry about the lateness I wich we were like wendy's". she wasn't our friend or family to just start doing jokes. we had a great dinner well but what a disapointment.just for this we can't recomend this place.

We went with a disabled child and were told that we could not bring any food other than what was on the menu for him to eat----needless to say we paid the bill immediately, did not eat our food, and left.....Just thought you all should know how child friendly this restaurant was----

This is truly the best restaurant on the island. We went to other highly recoomended restaurants but LG's beats them all! We enjoyed the lobster bisque and the huge T-Bone!! Waiter ricardo was great, he made us feel welcome and special.

Last but not least: we were surprised by the very affordable prices at this restaurant...the steaks range from $22 - $32, which is nothing compared to other retaurants in the same category, On top of that: everything is certified angus beef...WOW!

Would reccommend this to everybody!

Sat 09/17 – LG Smith’s
We usually dine here every trip – elegant place with excellent food and service. Drinks (Margerita and vodka martini) were excellent. I had a Caesar salad and the NY Strip steak (the only dinner entrée I’ve ordered here). DW had the grilled chicken. We both enjoyed our entrees and had a bottle of Pinot Noir with dinner.

We stayed at the Renaissance so we decided to try LG on our last night on the island. The atmosphere was very nice, however, the sound of the casino while you ate took away from it. Our waiter was very nice and really knew the menu well. The bread served at the table was quite tasteless, but was accompanied by homemade hummus. Some nice roasted garlic would have been even better. I ordered the lamb, which was recommended by our waiter, and my husband ordered the filet. We both ordered our meat cooked medium-rare. My rack of lamb, which was nicely sliced by our waiter at the table, was quite rare and a little too undercooked for my liking. I am always very hesitant to send food back to the kitchen, but in this case I had to. In about 3 minutes, my lamb was back and cooked just right. My husband enjoyed his filet. We split LG's signature dessert, the mango mascapone tart. Which was quite delicious, but large enough for at least 3 people to enjoy it and at $12, it should be shared!

Well here we are again, back in Aruba. We were here in September, 2010 and now back in March, 2011. Couldn't wait to dine at LG Smith's as we always dine there at least once but this time we had dinner twice. The food is delicious, atmosphere relaxing and service outstanding, especially
our friend Andrey, who is the best waiter in Aruba. He is so attentive and makes our dining a pleasant experience. Hope to see you in September

There’s always something new and exciting at L.G. Smith's Steak & Chop House, enthusiastic chefs bring you flavors from around the world and give a modern twist to local ingredients. The wine list is one of the best on the island. The grouper filet was delicious, and a trip to L.G’s is not complete without the chocolate dessert. L.G’s has set the new standard for dining in Aruba with exceptional service and cutting edge cuisine.
Also our special thanks, as well as wonderful service, to Heidi the brand new manager.
This was our first time at L.G’s and we can’t wait to return next year. Highly recommended.
Monique & Noël.

Superb! LG Smith's is fantastic. My husband and I recently dined at LG Smith's and it was wonderful as usual. We had Ceasar salads, lobster bisque and steaks and all were delicious. The service was outstanding. The restaurant has a view overlooking the marina and it is truly a romantic and beautiful place to have dinner. Enjoy "The Lounge" for an after dinner drink.....it's a fun place and the bartenders are very friendly. We always eat at LG Smith's when we are in Aruba. You will not be disappointed with your meal.

Haven’t been to LG Smith in a few years. It’s a beautiful restaurant. We all enjoyed our drinks, meal, and wines. DW had the chicken breast, DD had the grouper, and I had the NY Strip steak. You get to pick 2 sides from a good variety. Last visit, I wasn’t too impressed with the NY Strip steak and didn’t think it was Prime as listed on the menu. Tonight the steak was perfectly grilled (medium rare) and tasted like Prime. Overall it was an excellent dining experience & I should mention that the service was excellent as well. We would definitely return.

we ate here around July12,2010. while the food and service were very good, the house added a 23% service charge to our bill at the end of our meal. When we asked the waiter if this was his tip he replied no that doesnt include the tip. Our $150.00 dollar meal w/wine went up by $30.00. ask about the unidentified service charge before you eat here. No manager was available to help. Buyer beware!

we have been back to lg smith several times on each trip.

the filet mingon is outstanding, along with getting your choice of two sides makes this a great place.
we have never been disappointed in the service or ambience.
we try very hard not to have the creme brulee, but each time we cannot resist.
i,m sure you would be satisfied as well.
i,m sure we,ll make lg smith our first stop on the next trip.

We just visited this restaurant a few nights ago and it was OUTSTANDING! This is one of regular places we go when in Aruba and feel that it is one of the best steak houses in Aruba. The service was impecable, food was excellent and the decour is beautiful. The knowledge on wine is also impressive.
Two fillets and one rib steak was ordered and all were cooked as asked, tender and tasty as were the side dishes.
We didn't feel rushed through dinner and were able to relax and enjoy.
