Linda's fills a much-needed niche -- delicious, casual fare --and is perfect for families looking for a less formal (and much cheaper) alternative to the high-end restaurants. Dutch pancakes and gouda-cheese pizza pleased our picky kids, and we found the salads and peanut chicken very good. Nothing fancy, but delicious food with reliable service.
We visited Aruba over thanksgiving 2011. My husband had found Linda's online prior to our arrival, so we knew it was one of the spots we would visit. The gluten free menu was the original draw, but the food and service was what got us back three additional times during our visit. The owner Stephan was friendly, open and committed to offering not only great food for all, but great food for special diets as well. The salads are amazing for dinner as well - with the chef's secret dressing recipe (we tried to get the recipe, but no luck) We loved this place and plan to return on our next visit to Aruba.
We go to Linda's once every visit for a true Dutch pancake. The terrace is usually rather hot and muggy, but this year it was ok. Being from the Netherlands and living in the States, I miss the real Dutch pancakes. This places serves them! We ordered ours, mine with bacon, apple, cheese and mushrooms. Very tasty, couldn't finish mine by far, but memories of my childhood. It's so authentic and I hope Americans will try those elaborate pancakes too, not only for breakfast, but for dinner too, the way the Dutch eat them.
A MUST visit every year we return to Aruba. A place many of the locals frequent and for those who are "in the know" that visit the island. Don't expect much of an ambiance, but that's not what its all about, although the serving plates are personalized with Linda's name with Dutch style motifs. The pizza is good, plenty of choices of toppings, but the authentic Dutch pancakes are the best on the island. Served as you like them with an assortment of toppings, I would recommend the cinnamon apple. Served with condiments on the side, powdered sugar, cinnamon and very thick maple syrup they just can't be beat. Have them with an ice cold Balashi beer and you will be more than satisfied. A great break from the restaurants on the strip. Show up in your flip flops, tee shirt and shorts and expect to pay less than $35 per couple. You will be glad that you did.
I was so stoked on the pancakes! Especially the Apple/Bacon (Dank). I thought it couldn't get any better, then the Pizza arrived! Cheese on top! It really tied the pie together... Linda's is great, a real Dutch Family vibe. I love Aruba and I love Linda's!
Great local restaurant. The pancakes are delicious, especially the bacon/apple. The rum pineapple coconut pancake was a pina colada in every bite. Loved the shot glass filled with rum served with the pancake. Definitely will go back.
We have breakfast at Linda's almost every day when we are in Aruba. The dutch pancakes, especially the Apple and Bacon and chocolate chip (we prefer them on the side so you can melt them on top) are to die for, its a happy way to start your day on the "Happy Island"!! Dining outside is very relaxing.
We visit Linda's at least once every trip. Love love love their pancakes! They now offer gluten-free pancakes, but one complaint this year is that they have a sign in the window advertising gluten-free pizza - my husband even mentioned it to our waitress when we had breakfast there, and she smiled and acted like, yes, they do now offer the pizza. So....we went for dinner one night. And, no, they don't offer gluten-free pizza, they are still tryiing to get the right oven delivered. He was very disappointed, although there are worse fates than having to "settle" for one of their pancakes for dinner! Like the coffee, too, but if you like it strong, be sure to order it Dutch style (they must have had complaints from some Americans who prefer weak American style coffee).
Once again had excellent pizza with Gouda cheese, delicious beef sate, and amazing home made tomato soup, in addition to Linda\\\'s spectacular Dutch pancakes!!!
Fantastic service as always and terrific prices makes Linda\\\'s pancakes and Pizza one of our favorite restaurants in Aruba!
Its always great to experience new food and go to restaurants where the regular residents go. This restaurant always has a great variety of food and has a great staff to make your evening even better. The restaurant is in a busy area, but conseals any niose by the nice outdoor patio that most people sit at.
The pancakes are fantastic. The numerous flies are very annoying while eating in the outdoor dining area. Knowing this I highly recommend Linda's Pancakes. The quality of the food overcomes any shortcomings you might find.
No visit to Aruba would be complete without at least one visit to Linda's for pancakes. We love it here! My favorite is the walnut and brie with honey. Dan often has his - half strawberry and half ham and cheese. Not an IHOP which is why we enjoy it so much.

Another day where we had to kill some time as we checked out of Divi Golf and had to wait to check in at Casa Del Mar. We all had pizza as we had never tried the pizza here. DW had a small pizza with mozzarella & green peppers, DD had a small one with onions, and I had a medium one with pepperoni. It was raining lightly, but noticed that the road was still flooded from the previous days rain â drove through the Valero station again arriving & leaving. We had 3 rounds of drinks to kill time. We all enjoyed our pizzas and it was very filling. We werenât that hungry after we checked in at CDM. Had planned to go to Matthews, but opted for fresh fruit salad on the balcony.
My wife an I have had the pleasure of eating at Linda's since she first opened many years ago. We have enjoyed it BC (before children) as well as with our three (3, 6, 8 at last visit).
As a child-less adults (which we had the pleasure of a week in Aruba beginning of 2010) it is wonderful to go with friends and enjoy breakfast at any hour (most places stop breakfast late morning). As a relaxed setting for afternoon or evening drinks and fare, Linda's is wonderful.
With kids (we, kids and all, just got back from two weeks there), Linda's selection of eggs, omelets and pancakes is sure to please most children's palate. The choice of indoor or outdoor seating works very well. Booster seats are available and toys for the kids is an excellent distraction while waiting for your order or if simply enjoying another cup of coffee afterward.
We continue to find the service to be superior and love the personal touch of Linda checking on our meal and experience.
We continue to recommend Linda's to all that visit Aruba and, after our most recent visit (we went to Linda's three times in two weeks), we will continue to recommend it!
I'm not a breakfast person but I LOVE the pancakes at Linda's. They're more like crepes (very thin and light) and they come with a variety of toppings. Great way to start the day!
I had the worst breakfast there, from a limited breakfast choice to impolite and unpretending waitress to horrible food ( burned bacon(black like carbon-and waitress tried to argued with me) hard like stone omelet which you needed a knife to cut, coffee tastes like warm rain water, no kids coloring tools or at least not presented to us. My recommendation stay away from this place
When you are in for a real Dutch treat, go and visit Linda's. Remember the Dutch don't eat pancakes for breakfast, but for dinner.
We went with 4 adults and 2 little kids, both almost two years old. They had enough highchairs and coloring pictures and pencils to keep the small ones busy. Drinks for the kids were poured in plastic glasses (smart). You have to try the fresh fruit shakes! They are made with fresh fruit, so availability and taste (ripeness) may vary, but at least you are sure they don't use some sugary sirup.
Mains: we ordered different pancakes, a small one to share for the kids, and 1 pizza for the 'don't like pancakes guy'. You can choose your pancake toppings from a great variety, but there are also some nice combinations already suggested on the menu. The pizza's are a nice option if you don't like the pancakes. Remember, this is not an Italian restaurant. The crust seems to be the frozen prefab kind, but quality and the quantity of the toppings make you forget about that.
When you finished your meal, pay some attention to the plates. These are custom made Delft Pottery (Delfts Blauw), don't drop the plate when you turn it to check the backside for the markings ;)
You are in for a pleasant surprise when the check arrives, dinner for 6 + drinks set us back less than USD 100,-
For years we have heard about how fabulous LINDA'S is but we had never made it out to the place to verify the accolades. This year we made it a point to do so especially since the Breakfast niche has been devastated by the loss of BASI RUTI (which used to be located behind Playa Linda and was perhaps the best breakfast deal going in ARUBA despite the setting and sloppiness) - AND ... we were incredibly disappointed! LINDA'S really is nothing special and, if you are going to make the trip there for that type of food, then you would be better off going a little further into Town and eating at PANNEKOEHUIS. The difference between the two places is that, at LINDA'S a crepe is a crepe even if you order a crepe with a condiment - in which case you still get a crepe with a small, inadequate bowl of the condiment. At PANNEKOHUIS, a condiment crepe is a crepe with the condiment incorporated into it - what a wonderful difference that makes. At PANNEKOHUIS, you can also get ebelskiver type mini pancakes which are unique and delicious and make for a wonderful breakfast. At LINDA'S we did not observe any great diversity or uniqueness in their menu. Eggs, toast, coffee, etc. can be gotten anyplace and if that is what one goes to LINDA'S for then there are many equally good alternatives. What sets LINDA'S and PANNEKOHUIS apart are their Dutch Pancakes and LINDA'S simply do not stand up to those served at the PANNEKOHUIS. Drive the few extra miles (if necessary) to PANNEKOHUIS and have a truly enjoyable start to the day - get there early enough and watch some of the cruise ships come in or the sun rise or the Town wake up.
These pancakes are unbelievable. My husband got plain and I got the apple topping - delicious! We weren't sure how far it was from the Marriott, so we took a cab there for about $7. We realized it wasn't that far and walked back. Maybe a 20 minute walk or so, but it feels good after downing those pancakes. Our only mistake was going there the same day we went to dinner at Madame Jeannette's and we weren't as hungry as we would have liked.
I went to Linda's twice while at Aruba this year. Got to have Dutch Pancakes when in Aruba. Linda's does a great job on Dutch Pancakes.
Basic breakfast but really good.
Got to try them. Healthy walk from the highrise hotels but good to walk off a heavy breakfast.
We have been visiting Linda's since she opened several yearrs ago, and what strikes my wife and me is how they can be so consistently excellent with the quality and taste of their food. She has an excellent wait staff and will come out personally and make sure you are satisfied with your meal. The full menu is available at all times which is very convenient when you are not on a time schedule while vacationing. My wife is partial to the pancakes but I urge you to try her omelets -- they are my favorite. Werecommend Linda's to all of our friend and now to you.
Linda's is quite unique and a new experience for us. Food was very good and unexpected. I had never had dutch pancakes and thoroughly enjoyed them! Good service and wonderful little place to get away from the craziness of high rises.
we have been eating at Linda's for about 5 years . we look foward to going every year to have a wonderful meal of fine homemade crepes that are sooooo amazingly deeeelicious., that we always make it our first stop and last stop on the island ...the service is great and the waitresses are so friendly ..,,,my kids love it..i recommend it to people on the beach , in the streets, and at the airports, the prices are great and you will love the food....
Had breakfast at Linda's this morning. After reading the other reviews I was expecting to be wowed and I wasn't really. The food was good and the people friendly but I am not real sure I would go back. Maybe it was just so built up? A good dutch pancake but not great.
Yes, there is a Linda and she is there to oversee everything. A great place for an inexpensive dinner and to take a break from the usual restaurant scene. My wife and I shared a gouda cheese, mozzerella and ham large pizza and finished off with an apple amd cinnamon pancake. Can't beat the prices and the authentic Dutch pancakes, best on the island. Easy to find in the Noord part of town where many locals frequent. We will surely return next year.
