Madame Janette
Ramon Helgers and Karsten Gesing founded Madame Janette April 2nd
1999. Their collaboration resulted into a place, which offers fine dining in a casual atmosphere.

Ramon is responsible for the exotic fruits, herbs and vegetables you will find in not only our dishes, but also in most supermarkets on Aruba. Karsten, a European Master Chef, trained in 'old school' traditions creates, with help from his knowledgeable international
staff, tasteful and creative dishes. Their combined worldwide experience
gives their dishes an original flavour with a touch of Caribbean in it. We call it the Madame Janette Experience! We hope that you will have a wonderful dining romance.

How this place is not in the top 10 is a mystery to me. It is outstanding! My husband and I agree this is our favorite spot in Aruba. The food is consistently great. Love all the melted gouda. The atmosphere is really nice, the live entertainment is nice and the white lights are very charming. Our service has been excellent as well. We were so happy there our last trip to Aruba, we ended up cancelling dinner at Passions our last night to go back. Our server took care of it very easily, we even sat at the same table and had him as our server again. From now on we will be reserving at least 2 nights there during our stay.

If I had only 1 restaurant to eat at as a last request, Madame Janette's would be the one. The au gratin potatoes & the rack of lamb were the best we've ever had. Also, try the shrimp casserole and lobster ravioli. We will be back.

It is mandatory that if we are in aruba we go to Madame Janette. We have been coming to aruba for many years and enjoyed being at their 10th year anniversary approx 2 yrs ago. The food is great and the entire staff is friendly and efficient. You will not be disappointed.

We LOVE this restaurant. It is always the first restaurant we visit when we get to ARUBA. If we stay two weeks we eat there at least three or four times. We love the outdoor seating, the music and the friendly staff. Even my 15 year old twins say this is their all time favorite restaurant and they have traveled quite a bit. We are already thinking about our visit in July and know where we will be eating on our first night.

We had booked our reservation online ahead of time, so had no trouble getting in. We were very impressed with the menu, and had a tough time deciding what to get. The ambiance was nice and romantic, with an upscale feel. We ended up getting Salad and Shrimp cocktail for appetizers, which were very good and fresh. For dinner, I got the Surf and Turf Lobster tail with Tenderloin steak. The lobster tail was HUGE, and cooked to perfection. The steak was excellent as well. My girlfriend got what I like to say were the BIGGEST SHRIMP Ive ever seen in my life... They were unbelievably big... She got Coconut Shrimp that were AWESOME. They were great, and really fresh. For dessert we ended up getting an oreo cookie type thing that topped off the meal pretty well. All in all Id definitely reccomend this place, and I plan on returning!

First time dining here. Largest selection of food on any menu we saw all week in Aruba. I had Tenderloin Cordon Bleu which was excellent. Wife had Catch of the Day which was also excellent. My wife rated this her favorite in Aruba. Setting is interesting outside. Service was super.

We are regulars to this wonderful restuarant. The food this year, as in past years, is excellent. The staff is just about the best you will find on the island. Our food was prepared perfectly and we had dinners ranging from fish to meat. We sat outside at a lovely table and the staff couldn't have been more attentive. Our dinner was on Dec. 25th and it was a fantastic evening.
I should mention that we paid with our credit card (as we have in the past) and have had no trouble at all. This is a credible and well established restaurant and to suggest otherwise is unfair.
We look forward to another excellent visit to this restaurant upon our return in March.

This was our third trip to Madame Janette. The garden is beautiful. We were seated near the music which we enjoyed very much, not loud and intrusive. Some appetizers and entrees are quite so ask your server about portion size, that way you can judge if you want to share appetizers or not and base your main dish choice on your appetite on a particular evening. Our servers were attentive and helpful. The almond grouper and skirt steak are among our favorite entrees. A pork chop special was very soft, tasty and large. We always enjoy the marinated onions that are served complimentary. Among our favorite appetizers are the lobster ravioli, the crabmeat and crab claws and the chorizo.
