Madame Janette

This is a "don't miss" restaraunt. The food was excellent and the wait staff very good. We had taken a rubber duckie with us and set it on the table. After taking my order the waiter, with a perfectly straight face asked, "And what will the duck eat, Madam?"

The restaurant is pretty as if you were on the beach. It was a little hot, there isn't any airconditioner. The food and desert were excellent. The drinks are very expensive. A Cosmopolitan was ten dollars and a vodka and soda was fifteen dollars. We would definitely return minus the drinks next time.

An excellent dining experience. Nice menu variety, beautiful setting, reasonable portions, very good food. Would definitely return.

Just returned from 10 days in Aruba,my fifth visit.I've been in the restaurant bussiness 35 yrs and operate a seafood restaurant in the Gloucester, Ma. area. I can honestly say that my wife and I enjoyed one of the best dinners we've ever had , at Madame Janette.On our way out we made another dinner reservation.Great value ,quaint setting,friendly and genuine hospitality.A lovely caribbean experience.

I spent 5 memoriable evenings in Aruba all at wonderful restaurants-except for this one. We were seated outdoors which I found to be very enjoyable at other locations, but not this one. I swatted away more flys than I could count. This was in a residential neighborhood-do NOT expect a beautiful view. I think this is probably a great choice for those who believe they are used to fine dining but are not. The "reasonably priced meal" comments should say it all-

Best meal we had on the island while visiting for 7 days. Gourmet food with a "casual" elegance.

We have been visiting Madame Janette since it opened and will hopefully have the pleasure for many years to come. The secret is in the staff. It all comes together because everyone! cares, and it shows.

This restaurant was absolutely charming. The food was excellent, reasonably priced and very nice sized portions. Highly recommend.

We ate here for our first anniversary dinner and were not dissapointed! By far our best overall meal on the island. After being seated we were given two kir royales on the house in honor of our anniversary. The atmosphere with the white twinkle lights and wonderful music was exactly what we were looking for to celebrate our special night.

Might seem like an odd thing to comment on but the butter they give you for the bread was incredible! We each had the steak, shrimp and lobster combination for our meal and each bite was better than the next. Very nice portion and everything was seasoned. We hate bland food that we have to layer salt and pepper on. Dessert was a chocolate mousse cake that we shared. Very good.

We will definitely return!
