First visit, now a must visit
We have been going to Aruba for years now. We have our favorites and are always looking to add to that list. Our first visit to Marandi and we knew that we would always be back. From the fresh squeezed Orange juice in our cocktails to the Chocalate Lovers dessert, it was wonderful. The food is superb and the Pumpkin soup is not to be missed. Service was excellent, Laura was efficient and friendly. Rack of Lamb was tender and flavorful. The waterfront setting was very romantic overlooking the fish swimming in the clear waters below. Spray "Off!" or some type of bug spray for your legs under the table, but this is common for outdoor restaurants in Aruba.
My husband and I had a wonderful surprise menu dinner last night. The amuses were delightful, wine and food pairing excellent and we loved the duck breast as well as the amazingly light and flavourful desert. Definitely a recommendation for a super romantic dinner. Make sure you have driving directions to get there (and back!).
Best on the Island!
We ate out each night. We went to a new place each night. Marandi was the best of the all..better than Madam Janette's and El Gaucho's etc.
Best meal on the island ever!
We are very frequent visitors to the island, two times a year, and after an unpleasant experience at this restaurant several years ago (they said our reservation was cancelled), we decided to give it another try. We are very glad we did! I don't know where to begin. We were warmly greeted and were shown to a lovely table for two; we chose the Marandi app of foie gras and German bacon salad to share that was the beginning of our most delicious meal ever! Next we shared the pumpkin soup, my favorite part of the meal. I wish I had ordered my own. The main course was tuna and shrimp cooked to perfection with a wonderful sauce served with a mixture of fresh asparagus, zucchini, and tomatoes! No room left for dessert after devouring the generous portion.
Marandi was recommended by a cab driver we have been using for the past 10 years. Always stuck to our favorites until he suggested "you must try Marandi." Tried for the first time Sunday, November 3. Could not have had a better experience anywhere on Aruba. From the
reception, to immediate service with drinks, specials and
contined attentive staff made this evening one of the best
we have enjoyed during our annual return to Aruba. The food from appetizer thru entree was superbly prepared and delicious. Ambience and restaurant setting is a plus!!!
Don't leave Aruba without going there
Amazing experience, great view and a attendance that you will never forget.. One of the best places I've went in my whole life..
Just as good two years later
Two years ago we were thoroughly impressed with the setting and food at Marandi. We actually thought we should not return as it just couldn't meet that memory, well it did! By the way, there are signs making it easy to find that I don't think existed in the past. At any rate, the place is a beautiful setting over the water. The table setting is lovely, the waitress, Laura, was terrific, the drinks well made and the food just as terrific. We all had either fish or shellfish for the entree. Our choice was made easy after Laura gave an accurate description of the fish of the day, an import from Panama, tri tail. When the huge shrimp came out with their heads on, she was quick to offer having the heads removed in the kitchen. A foi gras appetizer was also well received. In short this place is a perfect combination of Aruban friendliness and a real effort at perfection in preparation and setting.
This is out favorite place to eat. Foodies welcome, recommend the tasting "surprise menu". Great food in a beautiful setting. Service is great! Can't wait to return!
A Superb Dining Experience
Marandi is truly a dining treasure in Aruba! There are so many great restaurants to choose from, but this one is outstanding in all respects!! The food was so very fresh and beautifully prepared. The ambiance is just lovely situated on the water with lovely appointments. Our server, Laura was wonderful, so friendly and attentive. She made us feel so special and welcome!! Overall, an experience that will repeat on all future trips to Aruba!!! Love it!
Tranquil Setting and Good Food
This is a great setting right on the sea. The food is delicious and is presented beautifully! The service is very good and friendly. We dine on every visit to Aruba, it is in our families' top 5 restaurants in Aruba!
THE place is beautiful ! THE food was amazing ! And THE people off the restaurant are the most friendly people ever!
A place to be. The food was marvelous and the crew was also. Very nice people who understand their job. This is the way how to do it. Thans for the very nice evening.

We will be back next year
This was our second visit to this restaurant and it just does not disappoint. The service is very good and the menu is very nice. Try and go at sunset as you will get a great view of the sunset. This restaurant is a must for each of our trips. We did make reservations as it is not very big.
The restaurant and the scenery are spectacular! The personal is friendly. The food is surprisingly tasteless. That was the case for both our appetizers and our main courses! So no coincidence! If the food had some taste it would be THE best restaurant on Aruba! Too bad...
Absolutely delicious! Highly recommended
My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate his birthday, and we absolutely loved it! The setting was gorgeous, being close the water, and watching the sunset. Its a really romantic spot, and dining around 6:30-7:00pm is the perfect time. It was quite far from our hotel in the low rise area. We paid about $50 in total for the cab fare. At the end of the night we both thought it was well worth it though. The food was amazing! I would say its comparable to the fine dining restaurants in New York. From the bread to begin the meal to dessert, everything was delicious. My boyfriend could not stop comparing it to the restaurant in our hotel (which fell way below expectations). Our server was also very friendly and helpful in describing the menu. Marandi was definitely the best meal we had in Aruba during our five nights there. We would definitely visit again if we return to the island. This was a meal that kept us wanting to return. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Atmosphere was beautiful. Our family of 4 had swordfish 4 different ways and all were great. Service was good as well. We would definitely go back again.
WOW! What an incredible meal. This is my 24th trip to the island but first trip to Marandi's. We caught it on a perfect sunset evening. Not a cloud in the sky or distance which set up a spectacular sunset. I had the Wahoo cooked "oriental style" and my wife had the triple tail served Laguna style. Both were excellent. I had a tomato soup appetizer that was delicious as well. Perfect night all the way around. This restaurant is NOT to be missed! I will be back!
The chef here is amazing. Our party of 10 enjoyed meals that were perfectly cooked and presentation that spared nothing. It's worth the trip to Aruba just for the prosciutto and truffle salad. I will dream about the risotto tonight. Fortunately we have leftover cake for tomorrow! The location is untouched by tourism yielding a tranquil and pleasant dining experience. Thanks so much for an unforgettable evening.
Worth the trip
You have to drive just beyond the airport and then follow a maze of roads but, when you get there it's worth the trip! We had Triple tale and kingfish among our group. Everything was delicious! The atmosphere was great on a deck overlooking the water! We go back every year!
Wonderful meal and setting
We are in Aruba celebrating my son's college graduation. Based on TA reviews we chose Marandi for one of our dinners. It is a short taxi ride from the high rise hotels and both of our drivers were exceptional. The setting was magnificent! Right on the water and the perfect location for watching a beautiful sunset. The wine by the glass list was reasonably priced with a nice variety. We started with a smoked fish (swordfish) with a vanilla sauce which was delightful. For our entrees we each chose a catch of the day (amberjack or swordfish) prepared in a variety of ways. My son had a shrimp and fish combo with cous cous, my husband a swordfish with a parmesian crust with a taste of chutney, and my amberjack had a lemon butter caper sauce over puréed cauliflauer. They were all delicious and reasonably priced. We finished with two deserts, one a cheesecake and another a pane cotta with a delicious chocolate caramel combination. Overall, the service and friendliness of the staff was superb. You will not be disappointed if you visit Marandi! Don't miss this great restaurant while visiting Aruba.
Once Is Not Enough
It starts with an incomparable location. The wharf sits on the most tranquil inlet that has beautiful sunsets and twilight. The music that plays in the background accents the atmosphere and puts you in this state of relaxation that sets the tone for a most memorable evening. All of the waitstaff are true professionals that explain the menu clearly, are willing to make recommendations and are always in contact to make sure that you have everything you need when you need it. We visited twice this week, and have made a habit of multiple visits over the past three years as once is not enough. We thoroughly enjoyed the the Carpaccio, Fish and Shrimp Salad, and Caribbean Fish Soup for appetizers. The Crisp Vegetable Salad was good but not as outstanding as the others. They have four ways of preparing the catch of the day which was Wahoo during the first visit and swordfish and amberjack during the second. We had the Oriental treatment with a crust of horseradish, sesame, wakame, served with creamy lemongrass-coconut rice and soy dressing and Bacuti Duo couscous, fennel, puffed tomato, coconut-curry sauce and basil the first night, and were very pleased. The Bacuti Duo was so good I had it again on the second visit. We had the Chocolate Banana Smash both evenings for dessert it was so good. The trip from the Marriott Surf Club was only 22 minutes, just past the airport. Just follow the signs and it's easy.
