Our table was on the edge of the pier, so had a great view. They don't rush you and let you enjoy your surroundings. The service & food were very good. We enjoyed the fresh catch of the day served how you like it. We will eat there again in the future.

Despite the friendly staff we were not very pleased.
The food was really dramatic.
(over-grilled, dry and far too salty) Hopefully the staff of the kitchen had a off-day. The quality of the food was not in relation with the athmosphere and the very dedicated serving staff.
It was really good service we were financially compensated.
We hope to have a next time a better experience.

Got there in time for the sunset. My husband got some type of oyster soup and said that it was lousy. For our main meal we got grouper and the breaded squid and both were excellent. No desert this evening. We know that service is on island time but the service here was slower than island time. We were there over 2 hours and they weren't crowded Otherwise service was good.

Our family ate here a few nights ago and it was wonderful! The view and sunsets were amazing!!!! Better then any beach side sunset! Without the sand! The sky was an amazing shade of pinks orange and blues unreal! We heard about Marina from a family here at our resort and they raved about it! So we knew we had to try it! We loved it! It is the most beautiful quaint lil find! It is a good drive but definitely worth it! The staff were amazing, the food wonderful And experience remarkable! Nothing like it on the island! Wish we had found it 11 years ago when we first started coming but Know it will be a regular stop every year hints: get directions (they're flyer has a map on the back) and they're closed on Tuesday's!

MARINA PIRATA continues to impress us. It may not be fine eating but it is very good food at very reasonable prices with a fine setting and some of the most friendly staff that can be found in ARUBA. It is a relaxing delight to eat here and enjoy everything about you including the people. We highly recommend the place and we don't think that you will be disappointed if you do go. Don't go with expectation of getting a five star meal, go with the expectation of gettting a very good meal done with a bit of ARUBAN flare and a lot of ARUBAN love and caring. Sit back and enjoy the meal and the ambiance and a good time will be yours. If you want more, then strike up a conversation with the owner and you will be entertained beyond your dreams - he is a very passionate advocate of country and is very candid and outspoken about it and the history he has seen and participated in over the past years. It all makes for a fascinating perspective of things and it is something that every visitor to ARUBA should know. GO and enjoy the food, the setting, the people, and everything else about this place. DO NOT be discouraged by the cost of a taxi ride to this place if needed - it is well worth the visit.

We always enjoy the food and look forward to also enjoying the ambiance of your restaurant. We come for six weeks every year and eat at over 25 restaurants, a few restaurants we go too more than once and yours is always at the top of this list. Keep up the good work and we look forward to dining with you again on the 21st of February.

We have been visiting ARUBA for over a decade and have always heard stories of MARINA PIRATA and looked forward to going there this year (in February) and we were not disappointed at all. MARINA PIRATA is the grandfather of all those copycat sit by the sea and watch the sunset restaurants. It has a legacy of over 25 years and you don't stay in business for that long unless you are doing something right and MARINA PIRATA definitely is doing everything well and right. It was a pleasure eating there, the food was very good, the ambience and setting great, and the prices were modest. Staff goes out of their way to accommodate you and, if you are lucky enough to strike up a conversation with the owner, you are in for a truly unique experience. Nobody gets a perfect 10 from me, but MARINA PIRATA is definitely worthy of one.

We actually ate so much fish for our two weeks on the Island I have forgotten what we ate where but I know it was terrific at MP. The sunset was spectacular and the guys loved feeding the fish. It is certainly worth the taxi ride.

Ordered the catch of the day and had it prepared Arubian style. My wife ordered the catch of the day prepared in a creole sauce with rice. The food was fantastic and the view was beautiful in the late evening with the lights shinny on the ocean.
Service was great just hope your waiter will be as good as the one we had. His name is Gerald, if I owned a restaurant I would hire him in a minute.

Prices were very reasonable even ordered a bottle of Cab. for $18.00 dollars. What a bargain at a great restaurant.
So venture out to this place is just past the Balachi Beer Co. than follow the signs.
Will make sure I visit this place again

My wife and I had dinner here on the 1st of September after seeing some pretty good reviews.
We sat right on this large deck that they have right in the water and after dark you can see the fish in the water which was real cool.
We both had the catch of the day cooked in different ways, it was barracuda that day and it was delicious. It's a steaky fish kind of like swordfish, but the flavor is outstanding.
Great service, great atmosphere, very romantic and the total was about $80 for both of us with about 5 drinks each.
We're going back next year definitely

We went here last week based on a recommendation from a cab driver. We really knew nothing about the restaurant but thought we would give it a shot. Are we glad we did! There were 10 of us and everyone was completely satisfied. The menu is overwhelmingly fish. What is caught that day is what is on the menu. Everyone raved about there meal. Get there for the sunset. It is beautiful. The value is unbelievable!! Prices are beyond reasonable. We felt we found a real hidden gem.

We had skipped this restaurant for the past few years, only because it is in Savaneta and a bit out of the way. This year we were thrilled that we returned. This little known waterside restaurant is a gem. Fresh fish at reasonable prices, in my mind, this is not only one of the best values on the island, but a secret the locals keep to themselves. Your kids will love you for taking them there as well. At night the water is lit and the fish come to the top looking for scraps. Free entertainment while you are waiting for your food to cook. They also have selections for children who do not like fish.

We eat here every year. The atmosphere is fantastic. You dine right on the pier where you can watch the fish jumping. It is very romantic, quiet, and a perfect place to watch the sunset. The shrimp Balashi and shrimp Marina Pirata continue to be our favorites. The fried calamari and escargots are delicious. The waitstaff are attentive and there to please. Prices are very reasonable. There are many locals who go here. It is worth the drive.

Really disappointing! The fish I ordered was so heavily breaded and fried as hard as a rock that I couldn't eat it. I kept scraping the breading off to get to the fish and there was almost nothing left. All of our meals were below average to average at best. Yes, you're on the water and can watch the sunset, but that doesn't make up for the so-so food. Our server was nice, and his service was fine, but the food is what we went there for, and it wasn't worth eating, considering the many other excellent places in Aruba. Save your money and go somewhere else. By the way...the fish wouldn't even eat the pieces of my dinner that I threw to them!
