We had skipped this restaurant for the past few years, only because it is in Savaneta and a bit out of the way. This year we were thrilled that we returned. This little known waterside restaurant is a gem. Fresh fish at reasonable prices, in my mind, this is not only one of the best values on the island, but a secret the locals keep to themselves. Your kids will love you for taking them there as well. At night the water is lit and the fish come to the top looking for scraps. Free entertainment while you are waiting for your food to cook. They also have selections for children who do not like fish.

I have been on Aruba several months. One of the restaurants I have visited is Marina Pirata - 4 times. The food has always met expectations and the atmosphere is great. I enjoy the experience of on water dining. I have always had a fish dish and never been disappointed. The fried bread is superb

We eat here every year. The atmosphere is fantastic. You dine right on the pier where you can watch the fish jumping. It is very romantic, quiet, and a perfect place to watch the sunset. The shrimp Balashi and shrimp Marina Pirata continue to be our favorites. The fried calamari and escargots are delicious. The waitstaff are attentive and there to please. Prices are very reasonable. There are many locals who go here. It is worth the drive.

We were amazed at the evening sunset and the peaceful atmosphere. We did not have a reservation, but we were promptly seated. The service was great and although i have never had deep fried flounder with the head attached, it was very good and presented extremely well. This place may not be in the center of the hotel area but is a drive worth taking. Thanks to the staff, cook and servers for their excellent service to MY HUSBAND WAYNE AND I.

Really disappointing! The fish I ordered was so heavily breaded and fried as hard as a rock that I couldn't eat it. I kept scraping the breading off to get to the fish and there was almost nothing left. All of our meals were below average to average at best. Yes, you're on the water and can watch the sunset, but that doesn't make up for the so-so food. Our server was nice, and his service was fine, but the food is what we went there for, and it wasn't worth eating, considering the many other excellent places in Aruba. Save your money and go somewhere else. By the way...the fish wouldn't even eat the pieces of my dinner that I threw to them!

What can I say? The food was as delicious this time as every other time. The shrimp Balashi and shrimp Marina Pirata were excellent, as were the escargots and breaded calamari. The manager aims to please and the setting could not be more spectacular. What a value! It is well worth the drive.

We came here on 12/29, after eating here twice last February. As usual, everything was wonderful. The breaded squid and escargots were some of the best we have ever had. The shrimp Balashi and beer battered shrimp were excellent. The prices were very reasonable and the service was very good, even though there were several large parties there that evening. The bartender and hostess aim to please. We had a table on the edge of the pier and watched the fish jump. The atmosphere is very romantic. We will go back in February when we are on island again.

In 15 years of visiting the island we have not previously visited this restaurant. However, this trip we decided to try something different and based on some positive reviews gave this restaurant a try this evening.

It's very pretty. The location, while out of the way and a long drive from the hotel area, is fairly easy to find given the number of signs to direct customers in. For a seafood lover, the menu is good although not very descriptive.

what astonished us was the slowness of the service. We saw our server very infrequently. Our drink orders arrived quickly. Appetizers arrived son after. Then the wait began - one hour later we did not have entrees, no drink refills, I was never offered a second glass of wine (or asked if I'd care for any other drink long after my glass was empty).

The food, when it arrived, was good (not spectacular, but good enough) but could not have justified the wait.

As soon as we had eaten, we asked for the check, paid, and left. I wouldn't go back to this one again. I did at one point see a comparison with Flying Fishbone but to us - there is no basis for comparison. It has a charm and I suspect if service had been better we might have given it another chance on our next trip, but to sit with no food and no beverages for more than an hour ... with no appearance by our waiter nor apologies for lack of food ..... that just doesn't cut it.

We ate here late one night. The restaurant wasn't even half full and there wasn't much of a view, as everything was dark on the water. We could hear the fish nearby surfacing on the water.

It was a disappointing dinner, as the food was just okay. We won't be returning, as there are so many wonderful restaurants in Aruba.

One of the nicest places of the island to see the sun set in the sea, while you're drinking a nice cocktail (the lady) or an ice cold Balashi.
I had the Lobster thermidor, and will certainly go back for that one. On an other occasion I had fish fillet wich was a little dry and overcooked, so stay with the lobster.
Strawberry Cheesecake for dessert, too bad it came out of the freezer. The lady had Kessio, a local treat, and just loved it.
