Horrible experiences the last three times going to McDonald's in Palm Beach. The service is so slow mostly because the employees are inept. Today, spent over 10 minutes idling in the drive thru after I had already paid. Not because I was waiting for other cars, I was the only one there! Horrible experience for a Saturday at 10am. The service inside is almost as slow on prior visits. It doesn't get any worse either in the US or Canada.

OK - we admit it, we even try some of the fast food chains in ARUBA and we admit it shamelessly. As BILLYBOY says"
"Just for the record the food is not the same as the U.S.Mickey D's" and he is right and that is why we continue to return becasue the food is not the same - it is much fresher and reminds us of the earlier days of the chain when the food was somewhat tasty and well worht the price andthat is what the ARUBA McDonald's does - the food here tastes different, the ingredients are fresher, and the quality is far better than most US fast food chain stores including the domestic McDonald's. GO and taste the difference and see what we mean. Though we would never suggest to you that this is fine eating, it is credible eating if you are looking for a snack or a quick lunch or want to entertain the children and we would be reluctant to try to discourage anyone from going. It is a unique experience and it is one that is worth doing.

It's a good place to take very small children. They are familiar with McDonald's, and it helps that they know what they are eating (especially if they are picky eaters). It's not the best place to go for adults, but sometimes you just want a burger you know will be tasty. Why not McDonald's???

I have one question - why on earth would anyone go to a chain restaurant in Aruba? However, I did have to have my DD coffee. Isn't a vacation to an island about trying the native foods (and drink)?

If you just decent price fooe and don't want the long restaurant experience, why not McDonalds, afterall the McRib isn't always available in the US and there are different menu items here. We were at the McDonalds off 1A(B)- at the time their credit card line was down- as my husband was making his way out to the car for cash, the manager stopped him and told us to eat first while the food was hot. Even at McDonalds you can have an unforgettable experience that adds to your vacation!
