We ate at Passions our last night in Aruba. It was a perfect ending to our vacation. Wonderful ambiance and sunset even with a child. Kicked off our shoes and a nice glass of wine before our meal. Our daughter is gluten free and we were pleasantly surprised they had pasta for her and made her a special dish. Added bonus for us. She also got a raspberry daiquiri that she couldn't find all week. Our meals were delicious and our waiter was very informative with the menu.
We all had a wonderful time. It was a most surprising and beautiful experience. The staff and the food were exceptional. We look forward to our next visit.
We loved Passions and the best part, in addition to the great food and atmosphere, was Robert our waiter! What a gem he is....very courteous, outgoing and overall outstanding waiter:-)
Best wishes for continued success! We will be back!
Beautiful dinner- must try
My boyfriend and I visited Passions on November 28, 2014 for a 6pm seating- right before the sunset. It was our first time in Aruba and we had booked about a week or two in advance.
You MUST try the seafood soup- amazing! We both ordered filet mignon that was cooked to perfection and finished up dinner with a couples dessert- the food was great, the service was great.
Our waitress Eleonora was wonderful and very attentive, she even offered to take a bunch of sunset photos of us and made sure we didn't miss the sunset!
The location, food, service and restaurant as a whole is beautiful and I can't imagine how someone could not vote this place 5 stars!
Our dinner was beautiful and the food was all made to perfection, it was truly a night to remember.
Thank you for your warm hospitality and wonderful service, my boyfriend and I will be back every time we visit Aruba!

Passions on the Beach is FABULOUS!!
A totally enjoyable experience. Have eaten here twice a year for past 3 years and the food, atmosphere and service is all WONDERFUL. I HIGHLY recommend it. I look forward to this restaurant and save it for our last night. Very friendly and accommodating staff - SUPERB MEAL!
Exceptional setting and service
A perfect ending to our reunion (almost 40 years of friendship) in Aruba. Could not have asked for a more memorable setting. And the service from start to finish was truly extraordinary. Our waitress could not have been more professionally pleasant and patient. And the other staff, including management, was similarly efficient, thoughtful, and caring. I never do reviews of restaurants unless they are remarkable -- Passions is remarkable ! I quite honestly look forward to returning and have already recommended it to several regular Aruba visitors. Truly a class act !!!
One of the highlights of our visit
Our visit to your restaurant was on of the highlights of our trip!
Food was great, service impeccable, wonderful experience overall.
We're recommending to all our friends!
On booking back in July for a September 18th table I advised this would be a proposal evening and the staff did not disappoint. Front row table and an acceptance from my fiancée success at Sunset!....
Our waitress who I believe was Avril, was attentive and very accommodating taking photos for us whilst providing a high level of service. The food was amazing, the steak I had melted in the mouth.
Once Avril had discovered the proposal she arranged for the Violinist to play for us and then our sweet was decorated with the words Congratulations. A lovely personal touch, thank you.
This is a venue that no photographs can do it justice, it simply has to be experienced!!
The food was excellent, the sunset beautiful, and the service excellent. If you are looking for a great dining experience and a wonderful memory this is the place to go. We plan on making this our annual destination.
Best on Island
We celebrated our Honeymoon in Aruba and dined out 5 out of the 7 evenings we spent there. Passions On The Beach was by far our favorite dining experience. The service, food and romantic ambiance was something we will never forget. We will rush back to Passions on our next visit.
I went to Passions for the first time this past summer and its by far the best restaurant I have ever been to. Great food, great service. Passions team; do not change a thing.
We had a wonderful time. Everything was delicious for our dinner to celebrate our wedding engagement that happened only moments before. Thank you for making our special night perfect.

Best resaurant in aruba
Hands down my favorite restaurant in Aruba... The food and service was excellent!
What a fabulous evening!
Oh my goodness! What a fabulous evening! We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. We had the 6:00pm sitting. It was still light out but the sun would be setting soon. We were seated in the first row near the water. The sunset was amazing! We could not have had a better waiter! His name was Michael and he was right there in the moment with us. He offered to take pictures at just the right time. We started with a bottle of champagne, which was perfect! We had appetizers, salad, dinner and a special dessert with sparklers! The food was delicious. The night was very special! Thank you Passions on the Beach!
We had a wonderful night at Passions as we celebrated our anniversary. The dinner was fabulous. We had the filet mignon and the Caribbean Shrimp. Perfect. We also had the tiramisu for dessert - delicious and the sparklers were a wonderful surprise. The violinist added a very special touch.
Our waitress was attentive without hovering. She was very friendly and helpful. All of the staff were wonderful. We loved the fact that they took our pictures several times. We have really enjoyed sharing them with our friends. We have told everyone about our special night. We have friends that go to Aruba every year and I am sure that they will now try Passions.
So many specials - the tiki lamps, the lamps on the table, the lit dessert menu, the sparklers, the fantastic beach setting, the perfect weather. There is nothing that you can change as far as we were concerned. It was a perfect evening.
NOT WHAT IT WAS
We spend 2 weeks I in aruba each year frequenting Passions 1-2 times during our stay. This years visit was a total disappointment. It started out great with our server taking our drink orders which arrived quickly. Once drinks arrived we ordered our appetizers and main course at the same time. Our appetizers came out in a timely manner. After that it went straight downhill. Once appetizer were completed & taken away we waited approximately 40-45 minutes and no main course. Ordered and glass of wine and another 15 minutes went by. Still no main course. Our waiter finally came over an apologized for the delay and offered us a complimentary glass of wine which we didn't really want at this point. Finally an hour and half after completion of the appetizers the main course arrived which was semi cold.
We are an island time couple but we arrived @ 6:00pm and didn't get served our main course until 8:40. Also it's time to upgrade the outhouses. Really..
FOOD GLORIOUS FOOD, ET AL
Beat some weather and got into ARUBA in time to make our Valentine's Day reservation at PASSIONS. We were so delighted with the place last year that we felt they would be an ideal spot to celebrate the occasion and there was a full moon to boot. PASSIONS (and the celestial bodies) did not disappoint in the least. It maintained its standards of excellence on every level and it was refreshing to see the consistency of its performance. We generally do not like the adding of a 15% surcharge to bills and generally just leave our tip at that level for most places that do it. PASSIONS is an exception to the rule and it warrants and gets substantially more from us and it is worth it. Everyone involved puts out 100%+ and it shows. We highly recommend this place to everyone - it is a unique and enjoyable experience. In our opinion, it is the nicest and best "eat on the beach" experience that Aruba has to offer and we are looking forward to returning next year as well.
Visited February 2014
Visited Passions again after several years. Setting is great with lovely ambience. Food was good but varied among our four orders, was not the Wow we had experienced previously. Service was slow and not very attentive. Go for the Setting and manage your expectations otherwise.
Location, Location, Location
Recently dined at Passions. I must say, the location and sunset were spectacular. The food was good, but not great. The locations up for that. I definitely think that everyone should dine on the beach at least on time in Aruba. Passions would not disappoint.
A night to remember
My husband and I dined at passions during our honeymoon 2 years ago and my husband still raves about his grouper entree and claims it is the best meal he has ever eaten. The food was delicious and unique the ambience and scenery were incomparable. Passions is hands down THE best restaurant in Aruba. Do yourself a favor and do not skip out on this restaurant !!
Romance in Aruba
We booked an early 6pm reservation so we would be sure to get a waterside table. We wanted to be sure to have the best possible view of the sunset. Arriving about 30 minutes early so we could enjoy the happy hour at the adjoining bar, we had a couple of delicious drinks and good conversation with people from around the world. We got the prime table at the end, closest to the water.
The service was exemplary and I cannot imagine a more romantic site for dinner with a beautiful woman. She loved her sea bass and I thoroughly enjoyed the grouper. The food was very good but the setting created a lifetime memory. I would highly recommend it as it wasn't too expensive and it will never be forgotten.
One of Aruba's Outstanding Restaurants
For my husband, daughter and I, this was not the first time dining at Passions on the Beach at the Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort. For those who have never been, this is true barefoot dining on soft powder white sand, albeit with linen tablecloths and napkins and the soft glow of tabletop lamps and tiki torches. Over the course of our 20+ vacations in Aruba, we have grown to love Passions so much that it has become our family ritual to dine there on our first and last nights on the island. This year we stayed at the Amsterdam Manor for the first time and along with additional family members, had the pleasure of dining four times at Passions over the Christmas and New Year's holidays.
The holidays are all about families and dinner at Passions was no different. Children were prevalent and made to feel welcome. Some parents thought ahead and brought along tablets to entertain their children. In between courses, other children did as our daughter did when she was younger, and kept themselves busy playing at their parent's feet in the sand. Couples need not fret; they were of course, as always, still seated intimately in the front row at their tables for two. The couple's tables are lined up closest to the ocean offering the best view of the sunset. Tables are set far enough apart that the setting complete with the soft lighting of tiki torches, was undisturbed by the children prevalent on the island at this time of year.
Our family prefers eating dinner later and took pleasure in the warm breezes and stars overhead while listening to the lapping of the waves in the distance. The live music in the background adds to the romance, but is just loud enough that you notice, but does not interfere with conversation with your fellow diners. We spent numerous nights conversing over delicious meals, never feeling rushed and receiving the friendly yet unobtrusive service we have come to appreciate from the wonderful staff at Passions.
Passions is all about romance and their Caribbean inspired menu and the outstanding quality and preparation of their food only add to their reputation as one of the best restaurants on the island. With plenty of dinners at the restaurant our family had the opportunity to sample old favorites such as the Watermelon and Feta Salad, Eagle Beach Crab Salad and Caesar Salad, Get Together- grilled grouper in a cream sauce served with spicy shrimp, Grouper in Crispy Coco Jacket, Perfect Match- grilled mahi- mahi with baby scallops and a tarragon beurre blanc sauce, but we also discovered some new favorites like Beef Carpaccio with Truffle Mayonnaise, Aruban Seafood Soup, Pan Fried Sesame Crusted Black Sea Bass and Pineapple Carpaccio- thinly sliced pineapple, simmered, infused with Myers rum syrup and served over vanilla ice cream. Yes, we do go to Aruba to eat seafood and often do, but Passions Filet Mignon a la Ratatouille- beef tenderloin on a bed of green asparagus with balsamic glazed mushrooms, bacon ratatouille and port wine sauce is still my favorite and was also enjoyed by other family members as well!
From the moment we were greeted by Humphrey to the time we left, we were always made to feel that we were welcome and will look forward to many return visits in the future.
don't waste your time or money
If you know nothing about fine dining this is the place for you.
I made reservations for my party and arrived early as i normally do. Sat in the lounge area waiting for a table by the water like i requested with the reservation. Another couple arrived 15 minutes after we did, and was seated first because they spoke dutch. The waitress actually said my name i stood up and said thats me, the waitress ignored me and was speaking dutch to them and took them to my table. Needles to say i was completely miffed and spoke to the Hostess. They did recognize the mistake after i pointed out their error. I asked that the people that were seated be moved to another table. Another gentleman came over (I'm assuming he was the manager) went to the table to talk to them and move them. But the couple they seated refused to move. Just at that moment another table was vacated by customers and was cleaned for us. At this point my meal was ruined! The waitress that seated them was sent to our table to wait on us. BIG MISTAKE. No apology! Except from the hostess. NO Discount on the check, No free appetizer, No free coffee or desert. No free drink. Nothing but sub par food, that was dry and tasteless, just a complete waste time and money. I will never eat there again even if it was the last place on the island and i was starving.
Try Barefoot, Chalet Suisse, Papillon, Screaming Eagle, Hostaria de Vittorio, El Gaucho to to name a few places where service and food are excellent.
This was our 1st time to Passions and it won' t be our last . The atmosphere is just beautiful and the food was great. I had the spring rolls and the grouper and the portions are huge! The service was great and I can't wait to go back!
My boyfriend and I had dinner at Passions on the Beach last night and based on all the reviews I had read here I was really, and I mean REALLY, disappointed. Service was ok, although our server was nice, she was a little slow. I didn't know what I wanted to drink, so I asked for the menu and she only brought one, when they also have a martini menu, so our appetizers came before we had even ordered our drinks - even when she did bring the menu, it took her a long while to come and take our order. About the food: I had the vegetarian spring rolls and they were delicious; my boyfriend had the shrimp and also liked it. Regarding the main course though, I ordered the fillet mignon with shrimp and the shrimp wasn't seasoned at all. It had no flavor whatsoever, which upset me, especially because the fillet was magnificent! My boyfriend's fillet with lobster tail was very good, especially the lobster tail, even though it's tiny, especially considering the price. Overall I'd say we had an ok experience, I don't think I would recommend it to a friend though. The food is overpriced and for it isn't fine dining.
