Passions on the Beach
A dinner at Passions on the Beach is far and away the most romantic and unique Aruba restaurant experience on the island. Dine with your feet in the soft white sand and the soothing sound of the gentle waves caressing the shore. Watch the breathtaking sunset on Eagle Beach while tiki-torches slowly light the night. The fresh cuisine varies from meat to freshly caught fish while the desserts offer an indulgent treat you won't forget.

Beautiful setting

We have eaten here before and always enjoyed it. The ambiance is wonderful with the sunset, tiki torches and your toes in the sand. Meal was great. We both had the coconut grouper and enjoyed it. Portions were huge so we passed on desert. the drink special of the night was great. Sorry but can't remember the name of it. The service was awesone and our server was very attentive. It has been a couple of years since we've been here and I love the addition of the light up menus. Makes it so much easier in the dark.

Sunset dinner on the beach

We would like to thank everyone at Passion's for a fantastic evening.
Everything was first rate from our greeting by the Maitre'd, our table right on the water, our wait staff and last, but certainly not least, a fantastic meal! It's not often that you can say that "nothing could
have been better", but truly, "nothing could have been better"! We have already recommended Passions to some friends who will be visiting Aruba in the near future and we will certainly make Passions a must on our next trip to Aruba. Thanks again for a wonderful evening!

Most romantic restaurant

Aug 19, 2012 - posted by
I find it hard to believe that this beautiful strip of sand I pass each morning on my daily walk becomes such a romantic dining destination at night, but it does, and I am one of its staunchest fans! The sunsets as seen from Eagle Beach are glorious, and when you combine that with the sand between your toes, and the outrageously delicious food, Passions has it all! This is one of my favorite restaurants and it never lets me down; this year was no exception. My grouper in a coco jacket with banana dipping sauce was sheer perfection, as was my guy's grilled grouper. For dessert, we shared tiramisu that was light and delicate. The service was wonderful, attentive, but not hovering. WE always rave about this restaurant and will continue to do so because it represents the best of Aruba - great food, atmosphere, and service.

Disappointing

Aug 8, 2012 - posted by
My wife and I ate dinner here for our anniversary (and lunch at the Beach Bar once). Personally, I didn't think it was worth the money. We were staying at the fabulous Amsterdam Manor Hotel so we sat on watched the sunset on that exact same beach a several other nights, and this was probably our least romantic time doing it. I found the tables too close together for dining without wall, you could hear everything said at the three tables surrounding you. Plus, if you're sitting in the front row, your view may be ruined by 30 straight minutes of people taking pictures a couple of feet right in front of you during most of the sunset. I found that to be pretty rude since there was plenty of empty beach 5 steps away, and was disappointed that the servers would encourage people to stand in front of other tables for pictures. The service was also super duper slow. It took forever to get drinks, the check, refills etc. The server was unable to offer any recommendations and didn't seem knowledgeable about the food or cocktails.

On a more positive note, my food was delicious: the watermelon salad and the black sea bass. However, my vegetarian wife was unhappy with her food. There were only two vegetarian appetizers and one entree. There were only two vegetarian spring rolls for $12, which I thought was steep given the much larger portions for other apps. Also, the spring roll filling was mushy and overcooked. The vegetarian entree was a enormous pile of cheese pasta. The pasta was a large portion, but unappetizingly presented and very bland. People seem to go here more for the atmosphere than the food, but honestly, I was disappointed with both. A bottle of wine and a picnic on the beach would be more romantic (and much cheaper!)

Passions Beach Bar: Had a burger, fries, and chicken sate, Mostly the food tasted like the refrigerator/freezer. The chicken was juicy and perfectly cooked, but underseasoned. The fries and burger tasted strongly of freezer burn. The burger was dry and chewy. Probably the worst burger I've ever had.

Our NEW Favorite Restaurant

My husband and I have been visiting Aruba for 17 years. There are many good restaurants in Aruba. We are always there for our Anniversary. Two years ago we discovered Passions on the Beach. It is now our favorite restaurant. Not only is the view spectacular, especially at sunset, but the food and service are fantastic. We love it there, it is relaxing, romantic, a most enjoyable experience.
Thank you to the owners and staff for always making our experience at Passions on the Beach memorable.

Your staff was attentive and the food was delicious, we are sending our neighbors to your restaurant next week they can't wait to come. We are already planning on going back to Aruba & your restaurant next year. Thank you again for a wonderful evening.
