Passions on the Beach

A trip to Aruba is not complete without dinner at Passions. Very romantic dining on the beach, soft lighting, nice soft music in the background, and the water's edge just feet away.

The food compliments the surroundings - we had the Prosciutto di Parma and the Caribbean Crab Cocktail for appetizers; entrees were the Steak au Poivre (and they substituted the strip loin for a filet upon request with no problem)and the Grilled Grouper Fillet with Creamy Hot Shrimps. For dessert we decided to go with the brownie bites and ice cream which topped off everything perfectly. All in all, a perfect evening.

The waitstaff is also very good about asking to take your photo at sunset (and it's the best photo we have from our trip!)

We had dinner here twice during our annual 2 week stay in Aruba. The sunsets, food, and service cannot be beat!!! We plan to return (twice) next year again.

We were really expecting a beautiful atmosphere with run-of-the-mill food, but we were happily surprised. While the menu wasn't huge, the food turned out to be exceptional. The crab salad appetizer and caeser salad were both very good and the coconut grouper w/ banana dip was excellent - moist and flavorful. Portions were fairly large and came with side dishes. Prices and service were average for Aruba. Wonderful sunset dining experience.

I chose Passions for my birthday dinner last week. Eating with our toes in the sand was unbeatable. The service was excellent, so was the food. The location was the best, our pictures almost look like they are not real with the sunset in the background. My husband mentioned that it was my birthday and I was surprised with a sparking dessert slice of cheesecake with 2 forks. I also highly recommend the Passions Blossom drink if you don't drink wine or champagne. I would highly recommend Passions.

We (2 couples) dined at Passions last week during our final night in Aruba. This experience should not be missed by visitors to the island. We tried various appetizers, seafood plates and the filet, as well as key lime pie for desert. Everything was excellent - fresh and served piping hot with a nice flair. Drinks were terrific also (the brown lady is a must!). And the bread with bruschetta topping that is served before the meal is out of this world!

During our last visit to Aruba, we selected a different restaurant for our beachside dining and while we enjoyed that one, Passions really raised the bar for us in terms of food quality, value and ambience. I can't think of any better way to celebrate a special occasion or just enjoy a delicious meal with your toes in the sand and watching a beautiful Caribbean sunset.

We had a wonderful experience at Passions. The setting, the food, the service and the music were awesome! We could not have asked for more. It will be a memory that we will always cherish. Thank you and your team for making our evening very special.

I will start with the food which was great. We had the grouper coco jacket. The fish was great and moist. The banana dip had nice flavor. The Mahi-Mahi with scallops was just as good.
Now the service was terrible. We waited for 20 minutes to get our drink order taken. Another 10 minutes went by and the wine finally came and was warm. It seems that the waiter has to do it all. Wait tables and bus them too. Although they did have someone else bring out the food other than the waiter. More help in the restaurant would have been great but it did not ruin a great experience with great food and ambiance.

Our last night in Aruba was 5/8th and we selected Passions on the Beach. We reserved the day before and were rewarded with a front row table. Crab appetizer was nice. Finely minced, moist and served on a nice assortment of lettuce. Entree selections were Grouper w/ crunchy coating and Mahi-Mahi, both served with a small caserole of diced potato with cheese sauce and grilled vegetables. We both felt our waiter was unattentive. We had to wave him to us several times. We almost missed having our photo taken for the sunset though all other waiters seemed very aware of the special moment for their tables. We did not have our water glasses refilled once. Overall, a very nice evening but would request a different waiter if we were provided him again. Also, a very enjoyable singer/musician added a lot to the ambience!

My wife and I had the extreme pleasure of having a sunset dinner on 4/21. The waiter was excellent and the food was outstanding. What a great experience. I would go back on my next visit.

My wife and I had dinner here and it was excellent. We got their for 6pm so we could have a drink and see the sunset. The food is outstanding, service was outstanding and the environmnet was out of this world. We recommend Passions with passion!!!
