Breakfast. And dinner and tapas. Across the

We looked forward to trying this place and brought a set of salt and pepper shakers. This is a cool idea and we brought shakers from our home town vacation spot. You do get something for bringing them and they put them up. We left our mark. We had tapas and a few drinks, we like this and went back for dinner. The food was good and the tapas idea is fun and you can try a bunch of things. We did discover this as a great place for breakfast. Food was good drinks were good and prices were good. Fun place with good service. We will be back every time.

Please Accept My Award For Best Breakfast San

The entire title of my review should be .... and the Award For Best Breakfast Sandwich For the Budget Impaired Who Are Running Low on Funds After an Unlucky Night of Gambling at the High Rise Resort Casinos, goes to ..... ta daa .... the Salt & Pepper Restaurant!.
My sandwiches were tasty, served hot, with eggs that tasted like eggs, bacon that tasted (and resembled) real bacon, and cheese that tasted like God Bless American cheese! The portion of the sandwich was adequate, at least the equal of the size of a takeout breakfast sandwich from Denny's back home. The English Muffin was properly toasted (not burned) but, most importantly, the coffee was meh! I rated the \"Food\" with a level of 7 because I could not sprinkle any seasonings on my sandwich. All the little salt and pepper containers had vanished by 8 AM and I desperately needed a salt and pepper fix. There was also no salted butter available. And, then there was the coffee, which was nothing special.
I marked the "Service" with a level of 8 because this place does not open until 8 AM! We High Rollers need a 7 AM opening, at least.
Summary: the Salt & Pepper should open earlier to satisfy the needs of Casino losers, like me!
My tip- bring your own salt and pepper! .

I recommend anyone who's going to Aruba to visit Salt and Pepper ....P.S.make sure you bring a pair of salt and pepper (make sure they are rare) shakers for a free drink

Treated badly at Salt & Pepper

Feb 14, 2018 - posted by
Our first visit to S&P somehow went wrong. I ordered one tappas an decided it was too small (having never ordered tappas ) and ordered a second tappa. The waiter said I only order one. I agreed but changed my mind and wanted a second one. The waiter must have been offended. She ignored us the rest of the time that we were there. Another waiter finally gave us our bill. I liked the taco salad so much and the price was reasonably that we tried the restaurant a second time. Well they remembered us. We were handed a wet wipe which we did not receive on the first visit. Was this a message? A guide told us this was a small island and everyone knows everyone. Salt & Pepper knew us . They knew we weren't going to fork over $50. for a dinner for two. The WORST was our water glasses were not refilled once. It was 82 degrees. We were tired and had a long hike that day. NO REFILL ON A WATER GLASS WAS NOT NICE OR ACCEPTABLE..

So disappointed

Aug 9, 2015 - posted by
It took about 25 minutes just to get our drinks for a 10:30 am breakfast (the establishment was only 1/2 full), we should have left before the food arrived well over an hour wait for our food. I asked our waiter if he would recommend the onion soup which was responded with a stupid comment something like this: "if you like the taste of onion soup you should order it. ". The response should have been, "do not order it. It is the worse onion soup I have ever tasted. ". Instead the waiter chose to try and make me look stupid for the question. I should have considered the person making the comment, when we asked him how he was he complained to us about how he hates to work breakfast because all of the tourists are in a hurry, blah, blah, blah. Get a new job if you do not like working with the public. Do not go here if you are short on time or like good food. Big waste of $70!

Great time

6 of us sat inside as there was a wait outside. Charlotte was a topnotch server. She had good recommendations, was friendly and pretty funny. Drinks were served very quickly as was our food. My husband and I had never had tapas before (didn't even know what they were) but ours were very good and so were our son and daughter-in-laws. Our friends had regular meals and they were very pleased. Outside was a guy singing so we even had entertainment! I would go back again!

Food was mediocre, but the service was terrible. It was not crowded, but it took forever to get our food, they missed serving 2 of our tapas, and we waited forever for drink refills. I am not a demanding guest, but I will not return here.
