We have been going to Simply Fish for years! This year, it was even better than previous. Yes, it is a little expensive, but the quality is very very good. Mauricio, the waiter, is a gem. We meet every year and he treats us like we were his family. Always such a pleasure. We ate here on our first and last night. The Chilean Sea Bass and Chicken dishes were so very tasty. Can't wait to return next year. Keep up the great work.

Simply Fish was the best, diner on the beach with a beautiful sunset on May 20th,2011. I was dying for Red Snapper, what a let down they did'nt have it. So I settle for lobster tails. Daniel our waiter was very kind and the lady that keep our water and wine glasses filled all the time was the best.Very friendly and Daniel took many pictures of my wife and me. Would go back and hope they have Red Snapper next time..

We did not have reservations at Simply Fish and although there were empty tables, we were not able to eat at the restaurant. However, we walked a few steps to the little bar area, with the same view, and had some drinks, appetizers and watched one of the best sunsets on the island. The wait staff was operating at a disadvantage that night as their regular bartender had hurt his leg but they did an excellent job of making sure we had a good time. I see no reason to go to this restaurant if you arrive after the sunset so make your reservations accordingly.

We have eaten here 3 times in the past year. Each time our water was very attentive. The shrimp appetizer is wonderful and we always get that. I have either had lobster or Surf & Turf. We have never had a bad meal here and plan on getting reservations on the day we arrive in September. Deserts are huge and very good. Looking forward to returning.

Our most disappointing meal of the trip and I had so been looking forward to it. The setting was fabulous – on the beach at the waters edge. Service was good, but we did look around a couple of times when we needed something – I would have expected a bit more attentiveness. Unfortunately our food was quite marginal – lukewarm at best. I had the Aruban Triangle which is a lobster tail, wahoo and grouper. Caribbean lobster is not my favorite coming from New England but I must say it was the best of what was on my plate. Both the wahoo and grouper were hard and dry. Don had the Surf and Turf special which was also not overly warm but he did enjoy his meal. The prawn appetizers were excellent and the desserts were also. We had the coconut cake and a chocolate cake and enjoyed every bite of both of them. For the money I wouldn’t go back – I would try another beachside restaurant first.

If you hit this place on a bad night, or order the wrong food items from the menu, you"ll walk away, as we did, feeling cheated. My seafood risotto was all risotto and very little seafood. Skimpy and utterly tasteless, as well. Then there was the wine--i ordered a Santa Marguerita Pinot Grigio and my wife a Riesling. She was served mine and I was served hers--- and not a Pinot Grigio at all and certainly not S.M. My wife's encrusted grouper, while tasty, was more encrusted than grouper. . . . by far! The service was friendly, but once the plates were placed in front of us (wrong again!) we did not see the wait staff until "would you like coffee/dessert" time. All in all, for a meal costing what it did, I expected a whole lot more---of everything---. We won't be back.

PS The beach is gorgeous at night, but you can't eat sand, can you?

Wonderful dinner on the beach at the Marriott looking at the Caribbean and the sunset. Grilled twin lobster tails were outstanding, as were the bouillabase soup and grilled shrimp appetizers. Huge desserts were just too much. This great meal was made all the better by the use of Marriott's dinner for two certificates, which cost $114.50 including shipping. The certificate covered the entire cost of our meal and non-alcoholic drinks, including tax and tip, which otherwise would have cost around $230. Great meal and a great bargain.

We visited Aruba in March and ate twice at Simply Fish. The first meal was very good. I had the Aruban Triangle, wife had sea bass. The seafood bouilliabaisse was probably the best thing on the menu. The venue is excellent. Unfortunately, the second time we ate there, the food was cold and very disappointing. I had the sea bass and wife had the Halibut. For the price, I would probably try somewhere else next time.

We ended up here cause LG Smith wouldn't accept the Marriott gift certificate I had even though Renaissance properties were included. Dining right on the beach front row to the ocean was unique and unforgettable. We both had shrimp cocktail with lobster tail for dinner. For dessert I had the tiramasu and my husband had a chocolate cake. The food was all great. The waiters were attentive but slow. We got seated right away and didn't even have reservations but the food came very slowly. All in all, it more than met my expectations.

We celebrated our 41st wedding anniversary last night at Simply Fish. I found the restaurant on this site and thought it would be perfect. It was. We had reservations for 6:30 so we could experience the beautiful Aruban sunset. Our waiters, Fanny and Daniel were both more than happy to take many pictures of us as the sun set. We had no appetizer and both ordered the 10 oz. lobster tail. It was pricey but what isn't in Aruba? This was accompanied by a choice of potato and really crisp and delicious vegetables. Oh, and did I forget to mention the tapinade that was served first? A mixture of green and black olives and capers to be spread on bread. We ordered no dessert but were surprised by Daniel arriving with a plate of chocolate mousse cake complete with sparklers and a message written in chocolate.....Mr. and Mrs. Mancuso Happy 41st Anniversary!!!! That was over and above what had to be done for an anniversary. We will go back to celebrate 42! I also want to mention that seats were very comfortable. Sometimes beach dinig is just that....beach dining and if you are concerned with not being able to see, the servers carried tiny flashlights and shone them whenever we looked as if we needed them.

Wonderful! Outstanding ambiance and great service. The location on the beach is perfect. You are far from the highway so you do not hear the traffic you hear at Passions. The food was prepared beautifully and tasted delicious. The chairs on the beach were oversized and so comfy for dining. The beach is so peaceful and quiet with soft music in the background. You feel like the only ones there with a wonderful staff taking care of your every need. Do not miss this place….great ambiance, food and wonderful service.

We dropped in without a reservation and were greeted with a beautiful table by the water on a beautiful beach. The service was excellent as was the Sea Bass. The tuna crostini was not as expected and the scallop appetizer was just alright. The Sea Bass was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. Probably the best we have ever had and we eat this dish all over the world!

This is our third visit to Simply Fish.
The atmosphere and the sunset on the beach is a definite 10. The service was excellent as well although the waiter did seem a little annoyed that we asked him to take our picture with the sun setting in the background, fabulous view.
Food was very good not great. My lobster tail was pricey but delicious. We were on vacation so anything goes. Dessert was good too. All in all the best view on the beach for dinner. Worth the trip

Well, what can I say!?? Dining on the worlds best beach at sunset can't be all bad! First, they did not have our reservation which was placed 3 months prior. They seemed to carry that attitude a little bit thru the evening. The atmosphere is fantastic, the food leaves much to be desired. All said and done, overpriced and not worth the added price to dine at sunset on the beach. Maybe just a bookwork error, but don't extend that into the evening. Probably would not go back even if we were staying at the Mariott. Far too many restaurants on Aruba to waste your time here. Just an opinion.

Great food, service, and a beach for your child to build sand castles within twenty feet after dinner if you just want to relax and absorb the terrific surroundings. The menu wasn't extensive, but covered most areas to our satisfaction. Service was very impressive, and having dinner in our bare feet never felt so good. Only negative was the seats sat low to the ground in the sand. A small price to pay for a great suprise.

We probably jsut hot a bad night but this was one of the worst meals I have ever had in any restaurant. My fish was spoiled and destroyed any appeatite I had for this place. Presentation was right out of a hotel type restaurant- both sides in bowls alongside the fish- really uninteresting. Our appetizers and the caeser salad were mediocre. Management handled by not charging us for meal which was the only thing they did right that night. Very disappointign after reading all the great reviews here. Great setting on the beach.
