We ate here 2 times during our vacation. Edward was fantastic along with all the other personnel. We had our picture taken at when the sun was going down, ate great food outside on the beach. The fish was outstanding and the calamari was great too. We will definitely be back on our next trip. See everyone in October!!!

We ate at the Flying Fishbone twice during our weeklong stay in Aruba. The atmosphere was intimate, romantic & beautiful. The food was delicious as was the dessert! Definitely plan to spend a few hours dining, the service does not rush you through your meal which worked for a relaxing evening. We had great service from Edward & Simone! A great place to spend the evening!

We have visited Aruba and the Flying Fishbone restaurant for years and love it. Being from Chicago we are used to excellent restaurants like Charlie Trotters, Tru, Moto, etc. and Flying Fishbone is on their level - except better weather and on the beach. Hans our waiter and all the staff are welcoming and willing to help with any request. We have had family birthday parties here and quiet dinners. Shrimp roti is our favorite and of course the freshest fish on this island.

When Flying Fishbone asks if you would like to be by the water they mean it...your toes are actually in the water when seated at the front tables. They bring a stand to your table to hold your footwear. The view and setting are unbeatable. The food and service were very good. It is a repeat restaurant and highly recommend it to others.

The Flying Fishbone was suggested to us by a couple on the flight from the US. We ate there last night and had a great experience. Our waiter,Hans, suggested the Chefs Suprise! a three course meal that the chef selects for you. It was a hit with us -- great appetizer, delicious entrees and we finished with a wonderful dessert selection. The chef changes the selection for each order and we can't wait to try it again. We were seated next to the water and watched the sunst (fantastic).
We cannot comment on the child friendly or wheelchair friendly as we were without both.
I would highly recommend this to any couple or small group.

Everything was excellent, as usual! This place deserves to be visited and enjoyed as many times as possible. Last week, middle Dec 2011, my wife and I spent there her birthday dinner and all details were taken as instructed via email. Everyone of the staff did great, and Joseph (the one who attended us, particularly) treated us very, but very well.

Nice setting and location but ambiance lost when dark. Food was average at best.
Shrimp tempura had minimal coating and were ex large shrimp. Have never had large shrimp for tempura.
Three of us had the shrimp and lobster skewers. Asked for drawn butter when ordering. Served without and did not have. provided an oil in lieu of the drawn butter. Not a good replacement. Meal was so. so.
A long drive for a fair meal.

Have visited Flying Fishbone several times and have to say we were very disappointed with this visit. Things started out fine with the chilled seafood appetizer. However, the main courses were a disaster. We ordered lobster and grilled shrimp and fish special of the night. Both dinners came out cold. We sent them back and waited a half hour for them to come back. On top of that what was supposed to be a half lobster tail had three pieces of lobster. The dish was presented completely different than in the past. We complained to the manager, who at least did the right thing and took it off the bill. The grouper special was nothing special either. In addition, the service was marginal at best. Our server said "Enjoy" no matter what, including when he handed me the bill. I was told there is a new chef, and it showed. Not in a rush to go back next time in Aruba.

Three trips to Aruba the last three years and three unforgetable experiences at The Flying Fishbone. The setting has to be second to none in Aruba with our feet in the water, watching the sun go down, all while enjoying the best prepared Grooper on the island. The staff helped in making the experience everything it could be. Thank you, and I look forward to my unforgetable experience next year.

This is our second time dining at the Fishbone and it may be our last. The food was as good as our last experience, but the atmosphere is just not the same. The service was OK, nothing spectacular. I know this may be out of the control of the restaurant, but our entire meal was disrupted by a local jet skiier who sped purposely right in front of the restaurant for at least 2 hours or more. Once the sun went down, we were eaten alive by mosquitos and sand fleas. I have been to other "on beach" restaurants without this issue. There was also a neighbors dog who wandered over and was begging at a table next to us. The meal itself was good. My husband has the surf and turf, but would have enjoyed it more had the lobster tail not been masked with some kind of sauce (no sauce was mentioned on the menu - actually no description at all). I ordered the seafood history which was quite good, however, I would have enjoyed it more had the fish skin been removed from the fish chuncks. It is really unfortunate for this restaurant as many of the problems seem to be out of their control.
