Great Pizza
Just happened to read a review of this restaurant, so we gave it a try for takeout to the beach. My food was ready when I was told it would be (I ordered, then returned to pick it up). Pizza was absolutely delicious. My server was helpful and pleasant. We ordered the veggie pizza and had artichokes added. My husband was raving about it. A medium pizza was more than enough for 2 of us for lunch, and at around $20, a great deal. If we make it back to Aruba, Tomato Charlies will be on our list!
We stopped for our 1st time at tomato charlies. There were 3 adults 2 kids 9 and 10. The place was very slow. We had to wait for way to long to get our waitress to even come over to the table. Then after we ordered it took way too long to get our drinks. Food came out in reasonable time and the food was great. I just get mad when I see 3 emloyees laughing around the bar while we wait for our drinks way too long.
I have enjoyed going to Aruba for over 20 years and when I'm there we eat out almost everynight at all of the great restaurnats that Aruba has to offer. One night we decided to to have pizza by the pool and I ordered from Tomato Charlies. Never have I felt so taken advantage of by a restaurant. The Pizza was OK, not great, however, to spend just under $30 for a pizza with One topping is abusive. I will never return. I later found out that several people have walked out of this place for the same reason. WHAT A WASTE of MONEY..
My husband and I were in Aruba in may for 2 weeks. We ate at Tomato Charlies 6 times. I love, love there pizza. Would highly recomend Tomato Charlies. Can hardly wait to go back next year. Can't find pizza like that in Pennsylvania. My mouth is watering just talking about it. Great Pizza!!!!!!!
Great Pizza. Can't wait to stop back this July. So looking forward to the Veggie Pizza. YUMMY
After reading the other reviews, I thought I would make a couple comments. We had a pizza and caprese salad. We thought the pizza was great, one of the best on the island. It did have a different type of crust - but we liked that.
Service was good the night we were there.
On the TV was Funniest Home Videos - so was not offensive to kids.
Washrooms were clean.
On the island from 12/1-8.Rec by friends who said the pizza was delicious. We did not feel like pizza and had meatballs. They were hard & tasteless. Also had a caesar salad which was good. There were quite a few tables with pizza. We willtry it again and have the pizza.
We went there for a late lite dinner and ordered the Veggie Pizza and Caprise tomato salad. The pizza was good but, I would tell them no âSpinachâ next time, it looked like seaweed and was in clumps on the pizza. The salad was huge slices of tomato with fresh mozzarella in between, something different and delicious. The service was a little slow and we saw a table of three get up and leave after no one waited on them within 15 minutes. Our server was not very attentive and seemed like she would rather have been somewhere else. Some servers were gathered at the bar watching âAmericaâs Funniest Home Videosâ, which I will admit was funny, however I was not working. The restrooms were clean. The atmosphere was okay, if you donât mind the tire squealing and the entourage of motor cycles revving their engines as they go by at 15 mph.
PRO: There is NO SERVICE CHARGE
We were going to go to Casa Tua for pizza (nice change from Dominos) but opted instead for Tomato Charlies Pizza. I wish we hadn't. The pizza was average at best. The crust is VERY thin almost like a cracker. The sauce was average at best. The best pizza out of the two was the specialty pizza we ordered but even that was just so-so. Seriously... Dominos might have been better. At least after spending $30 on a family of four's dinner I would have known what I was getting.
Every time we are in Aruba, we visit Tomato Charlie's. We love their pizza. The kids ask to go here every year! The service is a little slow, but now we expect that so it doesn't bother us. They do have a TV on, which was on CNN while we were there. We have 2 children, 1 of which can read the running news stories, and some of the items featured on the news were not appropriate for her to be reading! My only suggestion to them would be to be aware of what is on their TV - perhaps a family friendly Sports channel would be better! Overall, we love the food and the location is great.
The four of us really enjoyed this restaurant! We had the marguerita pizza, the vegetarian pizza, 1 wedge salad, 1 ceasar salad, 1 garbage salads. The salads are huge, enough to share! The pizzas are thin crust pizzas. The vegetarian pizza was overly loaded and super delicious. We requested our pizza a little on the well done side, and our waiter was super accomodating, had a great sense of humor, and excelled in service! Definitely will go back!!
We were taking a walk and it started raining so we stopped in and had a vegie pizza the crust was just ok but the topping was delecious. The service was very good, the waiter was very pleasent and friendly.
Horrible service!!! Average food. Will not come back.
sorry but this was the worst pizza I have had on the island.
We stayed at the Riu in July 08. We discovered Tomato Charlie's one night while walking around and decided to give it a try. Needless to say we ate there one more time before leaving the island. We will be going back this July and can not wait to go back for some Pizza.. Love it

We tried this spot for a quick dinner one evening when we were still a little full from lunch. The pizza was just ok, and I don't think we would return. It wasn't bad, but we can get better quality pizza at home.
Our first dinner in Aruba was at Tomato Charlies, we had 2 pizzas, Margerita and taco. Not the best Pizza but an affordable dinner for a family of 4, being it was pizza this restaurant doesn't issues with sharing meals!!!
Tomatoe Charlies is the place to get some lunch. If you are staying at the high rise hotels on Palm Beach, Tomatoe Charlies is across the street.
Get a few pies to go and take them back to your hut on the beach.
Everyone around you will say, "Where did you get the pizza from" as you enjoy each slice.
We get pizza delivered from here every year - this time we got delivery twice during our 2 week trip. The location in Palm Beach does not deliver but their location in Tanki Flip does. Service on the phone when ordering and the delivery service was very nice and prompt. Pizzas were a nice thin crust with the basic toppings. Can't go wrong with a pizza and a bottle of wine on your balcony for an inexpensive and casual meal.
We LOVE this place. Small, nothing fancy, but just what we need when we don't want a very expensive and filling dinner. The pizza is my favorite - so thinly sliced and delicious. The side salads are also very good.
We frequent Tomato Charlies every year and sometimes twice during our stay. It's a great casual place for sitting outside, and the service is always excellent. Again - nothing fancy, but we haven't had a bad experience yet!
