Eaten here several times over the years. Food was OK but price has gone CRAZY. Way too expensive for type of food being served. Smokey Joes or Bingo is much better value.

Went with my colleague to Tony Roma's for lunch last week. We ordered the lunch burger and a chicken salad with grilled vegetables. Both were very good and very reasonable priced. We'll be back!!

Initially we didn't want to go to Tony Romas because it's a chain - but we relented because everyone could get something. The ribs as expected were really good. However, they were not fall off the bone that would get at the local rib places, but still very tasty and definitely the dish to get at TRs. My sister got the signature TR pulled pork sandwich and was less than enthused. The tomato was not ripe and she had to ask for extra sauce because the pork didn't have much taste. My mom got the fried shrimp and it was just OK - nothing to write home about. The children's menu was great - lots to choose from and the price includes carrots and dip and a really great dessert - the chocolate mousse included was surprisingly delicious! All sodas are refillable which you cannot find elsewhere on the island but they won't tell you the pineapple, cherry and grape sodas are more money than the usual cokes and sprites - but they are refillable too. All in all if you can find another restaurant with a continental menu and ribs, try those first.

Definatley one of the island's worse restaurants at this moment. I remember 10 years ago when Tony Romas WAS "THE PLACE" for Ribs. I was so eagered to go there in my last vacation and ended up with the biggest dissapointment. The Service (as almost eveyone else experienced) was terrible. Long waiting times when the restaurant is almost empty, wrong orders, I asked for an extra spoon and after 15 minutes I had to get it myself. When it comes to the food, the standards whent WAY too low. To start I got a bread with what I still dont know if it was supposed to be garlic butter or normal;in any case the butter was tasteless and the bread ,well, I had to ask for a new one since the one I got was good to break car windows. Then the food came... The sideorders were wrong, the "baby back ribs" were very very dry and the sauce covering the ribs was almost dried out aswell. So I will not be visitng, neither recomend Tony Romas for a good while... Pitty.

WIFE AND I GO HERE EVERY TIME WE ARE IN ARUBA. HAVE ALWAYS BEEN VERY SATISFIED WITH THE QUALITY OF THE MEAL. THE SERVICE IS ALWAYS SOMETHING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT. ONCE SEATED, YOU SEEM TO WAIT FOREVER TO GET YOUR ORDER TAKEN AND TO GET THE MEAL. THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE IS GOOD AND WE WOULD GO BACK AGAIN. THE DRINKS CANNOT BE BEAT, THE BEST ANYWHERE.

Our family (6) booked an early reservation because we had two children, ages 4 and 6, with our party. We arrived at 5:15pm for a 5:30 reservation. Despite only a party of 3 in the restaurant, we waited about 10 minutes for anyone to come meet us. So, seated by 5:25, we thought we would have a service person fairly soon. We were wrong, I had to go the bar to ask the barman to please get us a waiter/waitress. A waitress came at 5:50. Our food came at 6:30. I know "island time" if known for not hurrying, nevertheless, this wait was unacceptable. The waitress did not write down my daughter's order correctly, omitting one of the items and adding another as a substitute. When we pointed this out, she simply removed the extra order from the plate with her hands and went to the kitchen to get the omitted item. There were so many things wrong with this experience that I must believe (want to believe) that the Tony Romas corporate headquarters has absolutely no knowledge of this particular restaurant's damaging public relations image. Both food and service could have been omitted from our wonderful experiences of Aruba.

We, 6 of us went 5:30pm on Feb,2008. Went early to eat before doing some shopping and to see the water show. We were quickly sat. Only a few people were there at 5:30 Took 10-12 minutes for a server to come to the table to take our beverage order. Spent more time sitting, waiting and wondering if we were ever going to have a service come back and take our food order. By now more people were coming in and other tables were filling up and still no service for us. Finaly a girl, speaking little english came and took our food order. We had to repeat our food order to her and then 1 ordered was not right. When ordering we requested separate bills. They brought one small basket of bread for 6 people. Took 1 1/2 hours for 5 of our group's food to come out. They lost my order so I sat and watched everybody else eat. Finally my food came out..cold. I only had time to eat 1/3 when everybody in our group was ready to go and asking for the bills..a bill came after we had asked for separate bills. So there we were trying to figure what each was to pay. I asked and waited for a go-box since I have no time to finish eating. At 7:20 we left and without go-box. Worst meal and worst service

Ate here at the kids request for our last night in Aruba. Food was OK (ribs were good, onion brick is VERY overrated). Kids meal is great deal (ribs and fries for $9.95 with dessert!). The ribs were good, but nothing too special, and the restaurant was out of several dishes and desserts.

I used to love this restaurant until recently. It took them an hour and half to bring our food and when we got our meals, it was very cold. When we complained to the waitres about the service, the excuse was that the kitchen had some problems, however, everyone around us who came later got their meals before us! Very hard to believe their problems. Finally, when we complained to the manager, it was as if we were talking to a wall. Nothing was done about our meals! We paid and we left! Never again will we visit this restaurant again!

Tony Roma's like so many of the local restaurants really lacks in customer service. There is no rithym to the service. Once at lunch with only 4 other tables it took 17 minutes just to process the check. On another occaison we called ahead for a dinner order and arrived 20 minutes later to pick up and still had to wait almost an hour total.

If you like food imported from where ever thawed out and served slowly then this is your place. Why do they need to try? they will only probably see you just once.

Also what your check, they recently allowed the employees to randomly add a surcharge of 15% to any check at the downtown location because they were closing.

At the Highrise location they are slow and there are about 3 good staff members and they do their best considering the management and other staff issues.

We decided to go here for several reasons. We do not have one close by at home, we had heard good things about it on the Aruba BBs, and it was kind of late to be going out to dinner without reservations. We started with the sampler platter for an appetizer. Everything on it was excellent! We also had a ½ onion loaf and some bread with our dinner. Both were very good. I ordered the ½ rack of baby back ribs with the original sauce and Chris had the bbq sandwich with a side of coleslaw. I’m glad we ordered so many appetizers and sides to go with the meal because the main courses were terrible! The ribs were very tough, and tasteless. Chris’ sandwich was also tough and tasteless. It was $40 without service charge and we will not be going back.

This restaurant is located opposite the Holiday Inn in the high rise hotel area, and they only have inside seating. They have good barbecue ribs and chicken, as well as other selections like burgers, shrimp, and steak. However, our recommendation would be to stay with what they do best, the ribs and chicken. They also make very good onion rings. They don’t take reservations, but are open every night of the week, including Sundays. We don’t have a Tony Roma’s where we live, so we enjoy going there when we’re in Aruba. We went there our first night on this trip (and we usually do go there our first night on most of our trips to Aruba), as we were hungry, tired, and cranky, and their food hits the spot. After a few beers, some onion rings, and their ribs, we’re happy and in the right frame of mind for the rest of our stay.

If you simply enjoy good food and service, this is the place to go. Kid friendly as well and resonably priced. Short walk from our hotel and did well on all marks. We tried some of the more "upper class" restaurants only to head back here later in the week. Buccaneer was good for ambiance if you have to have it.

As embarrasing as it is, we did dine here during our visit. There is a lot to be said for the "tried and true" restaurant. Tony Romas is the same around the globe. Good food, huge portions, moderate prices. Clearly no ambiance to the place, but the food was good and the service was reasonable
