Excellent restaraunt great stuff

We have tried a number of restaraunts in Aruba, but Windows on Aruba is definitely the best. Sunday brunch offers a unique opportunity to try a wide selection of exquisite food choices and you can try all of them. Staff and hostess Sonja create a family-friendly atmosphere so that everybody feels welcomed. The view is beautiful, especially if you come later and enjoy the sunset. Our son was enjoying his food, he was entertained and had a great time. Romalo (our waiter) was absolutely fantastic and in addition to a great conversation, he showed our son the kitchen which was a great fun for our son.

This was the 3rd trip to Aruba, but my 1st to Windows. In August of 09, I forgot to make reservations and missed out on this restaurant, but not this time. I was with a party of eight and we were seated on time by our Hostess Sonja, who then introduce us to our waiter Romalo. First and most important of all, these two wonderful people made our night. I ordered the Lamb and Artichokes. This was a whole rack (16 oz) of New Zealand lamb along with marinated artichokes, mashed potatoes, pak choy and a honey grain mustard sauce with thyme. This was the best lamb dish I ever had. For the others in my group I will wait and let them write their own review. But I can say this, they all loved this place and will return again. Great job Sonja and Romalo.

Very gracious, pretty, restaurant. Mood is romantic, but it is also a family friendly restaurant (assuming the children are well behaved). The food is terrific, and what truly makes this place shine is their amazing wait staff. Romalo took care of us - he was friendly, unassuming, and attentive. We'd go back in a heartbeat!

We had a wonderful brunch at Windows on Aruba just this month, 1/2012. Food was great, though desserts are so so.
Fun, entertaining and our waiter, Romalo, was very attentive and courteous. Will go back for dinner some time on our next visit.

Overall, a bit disappointed. Food, for the most part, was very good, although also very expensive. Beautiful setting, overlooking a golf couse. Major complaint was that we were rushed, although it was hardly crowded. Our appetizers were served just minutes after we ordered, and our entrees came just as we were finishing the appetizers. Perhaps we should have complained, but certainly expected better paced-service from a high-end restaurant.

Big disappointment . Appetizers were good. For main course we ordered fish not recommended . We have to returned two main courses, not eatable. The restaurant is over- reated . Prices very hight. Service not good. In my opinion this restaurant has nothing to do with five stars advertising.

This restaurant was the best that I have been to in the caribbean. From the Appetizer to the dessert, everything we had was truly amazing. I came as a celebration for my engagement, and the second the hostess found out, she brought over 5 glasses of champagne, and a chocolate cake with a lit candle, all with a printed sign that we got to keep, on our table saying congratulations. The experience was so very enjoyable. I have never had such amazing food at a restaurant in the caribbean, and this is truly the best in Aruba.

Being in Aruba for the first time, my husband and I were recommended by another couple to try Windows on Aruba. Not only is the restaurant lovely but the views from the windows are spectacular. The food was devine and our hostess, Sonya, made the evening a splendid one offering us a glass of champayne, taking our picture and making sure that all was the way it should be, "Top Notch". I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to go to Aruba.

She went above and beyond, from start to finish to ensure that we had a great time. My husband and I will never forget her hospitality, friendliness and professionalism. She made our night so special and amazing and we are so grateful to her. She asked us if we were celebrating anything that evening and in fact we were but we werent going to say anything.. she brought us 2 glasses of champagne and took our picture. Then at dessert she brought us a special dessert with candles and congratulated us and took our picture again so that we could capture the moment. She did all of this without us asking and truely made our night. Thank you Sonya!! We hope we are lucky enough to come back there again soon.

I was Blessed to "steal away" a week's vacation for my birthday in June (18th - 25th), which was Divinely afforded to me, via my RCI timeshare. On my very first night there at the Divi Beach & Golf Resort, the "Divine / Spirit" moved me to have dinner at "Windows on Aruba," with an AWE-inspiring view of the golf course and the ocean as a "backdrop," at Sunset.

Upon my arrival, I was greeted by an Angel, by the name of Sonja ("the Hostess with the Mostest !" : ). As she seated me, I was made to feel like a V.I.P. (& treated as such, as I'll mention in a moment.). Next, after being seated, another angel greeted me, by the name of Shareen, my waitress. Before she would start serving me my first course, the first "Angel" / Sonja (Hostess) blessed me with a complimentary "Birthday" Glass of Champagne, and to my GREAT Surprise, she had produced a "Birthday Card," from her computer ... as aforementioned, a real V. I. P. treatment!! As Shareen served me each course, I felt more like a guest in her home, than a patron at this restaurant. If this wasn't enough, with each delicious bite of this sumptuous Red Snapper meal, it seemed as though I was being personally serenaded by the jazzy guitar playing of "Don" Gerrald Martes (my "3rd Angel" : ) !! ~ I applauded at the end of each song, which he appreciated, and acknowledged with a "bowing nod".

Though all Three of these "Angels" knew that I was dining alone - a "Party of One," unbeknownst to any of them was that I took this trip as my mother laid dying back home in the U.S.; whereby as aforementioned, I needed to "steal away" for a brief vacation (first since Jan. of '08), and much needed, in light of what awaited me ... What they need to KNOW is that shortly after returning back home to Maryland, my mother died, but I will NEVER forgot OUR DIVInely Appointed "Birthday Party of One PLUS Three," with All the LOVE, and "V.I.P. Treatment" that my Three Angels Blessed me with that night (e-SPECIAL-ly Sonja, who was one of the Kindest Souls that I met during this "Divine Vacation in Aruba" AND to not be remiss, I was afforded further V.I.P. TREATMENT, as she & my other angel, Shareen brought me a complimentary piece of cake, with a candle and together sang ME the "Happy Birthday" song !! : )

THANKS be to GOD, for that Night (dinner), never to be forgotten, whereby their KINDNESS helped to "prepare me" for what awaited me back home ... "Divine Mother" IS very pleased with what YOU (3) did, and as The Christ said, "As You have done this unto the least of these, YOU have done unto ME." ~ May GOD Bless You all, for aside from the scrumptious several course meal afforded me, the "WINDOW... on Aruba" that You had shown me, was that of the LOVE in your hearts ... the "Window to the Soul" ~ I thank GOD for You all, and would Highly RECOMMEND this restaurant to any & ALL, especially if my "primary Angel," SONJA is there, for she is "the hostess that IS the mostest " ... !!!

Went here for our last night on the island. food was very good although I have to say I was disappointed in the lack of the presentation of the Chateaubriand. Service was very attentive however, when I order black Sambuca I dont expect to get white and when I order expresso I expect it to be hot not cold. I have to say for the nearly $200 I was expecting a little more.
