On our latest visit to Aruba last November, we landed at Rumba probably at least once a day for the entire week. Sometimes just for coffee in the morning. We had breakfasts, lunch and dinners and all were fantastic! The staff is great and the food is some of the best on the island. The creamy pumpkin soup was the very best. The pan-fried grouper was out of this world! You cannot go wrong with Rumba's. The owner and chef know what it takes to satisfy customers! We are heading back to Aruba tomorrow morning and plan to be sitting at Rumba's tomorrow night for dinner!

We always have a great dinner or lunch here! This time it was lunch and my husband had his favorite Rumba Sandwich and I had a tuna salad sandwhich - both tasted great and were more than we would normally eat for lunch. Service, as usual, was "spot on".

Our favorite restaurant downtown. Our third trip to the Renaissance with dozens of trips to Rumba. Key points -- great food at a very good price. Nice people and great service. Enjoyed the "green party" parade from Rumba.

None of the outside tables were occupied and only 2 tables occupied inside. We sat inside since we didn’t think we’d like to eat with all the traffic going by. The inside could use some sprucing up - fresh paint would help. Staff was friendly. DW had a Mai Tai (I think it took them a while to figure out how to make it) and I had a Vodka martini. I had the chicken soup – it was pretty hearty with plenty of potatoes, carrots, celery, and chicken in a rich broth. I don’t usually order soup, but with the cold I caught – soup always makes me feel better. We both had the Grouper (came with white rice & sautéed vegetables) with 2 glasses of wine. Everything was good – only complaint was that the most of the food was too salty. My doctor wouldn’t approve. Cost with tip = 95.60

We were staying at the Renaissance Marina and Rumba is located directly behind the Ren Marina, though the sign faces the side of the Ren so we did not see it right away. (It is below Casa Tua).

We chose Rumba for our first night out and it we were very happy with our choice. We ate on the charming covered patio. It was decorated with white lights and candles. We had the goat cheese appetizer (served on a bed of greens with garlic toast) and it was very good. The Rumba Caipirinha became a new favorite drink. My husband's grouper was outstanding and I had the special salad for the night, a Four Cheese salad. We did not have dessert on the first night but we had a very good espresso and wonderful service given by Mo.

In fact, we liked the coffee and Mo's service so much that we returned another day just for coffee.

Any restaurant would be special on your anniversary in Aruba because it is Aruba! Mo, Huub, and Chris(Kris?) at Rumba made ours extra special for us. Though we researched many restaurants, we ended up choosing Rumba because we knew we would have good food and good service.

We were greeted like old friends on our return dinner trip. For our meals, my husband had the Seafood Trio and I had a wonderful Chicken Calabrese. (Grilled chicken, pesto, fresh tomato, covered in cheese and baked until cheese melts).

When they found out it was our anniversary, Chris/Kris(chef and pastry chef), Mo and Huub presented us with a special dessert: a phyllo dough "bowl" filled with swiss cream topped with a lovely heart of phyllo. Love was written on the heart in chocolate. Happy Annivesary was written around the plate in chocolate. The swiss cream was a light, sweet whipped cream and a perfect match for the chocolate. It was a light and airy way to end a big meal! We also had coffee.

Many places would probably do something nice for an anniversary dinner but we were so happy to celebrate ours with the wonderful people of Rumba!

We found it to be very reasonably priced, too.

A great find along restaurant row behind the Renaissance Hotel. Had dinner there and were not disappointed. The food was terrific, well presented with an attentive staff. The decor was pleasing and the dessert sampler was delightful. Relatively inexpensive as far as Aruba restaurant prices can be,very well worth the money. We will certainly return on our next visit.

Yummy! Great (but easy to miss) place to eat. Especially liked the breakfast there, real coffee and good food and prices. The service was very attentive, but not overwhelming Highly recommend this place! It's easy to walk right by, so seek it out!

Most of the time when where here we have lunch here, which is always really good. This time we tried it for dinner. which was a disappointment . The meat was not very tender and the fish was under cooked. The staff was kinda slow. And didn't give us much attention. To bad. next time we will go for lunch again. because lunch is always perfect.
