My wife and I have been coming to Aruba for 12 years and each year have gone to the French Steakhouse. It has always been a good experience and never a disappointment. This year the menu changed somewhat but the food was still delicious and the service was top notch. Waiters beside our waiter stopped by the table to check on us if they were passing the table. The only regret was that the bell and the "Oh la la's" were missing.

Haven't been here in years and being back was like visiting an "old friend" but with a new and improved menu! FINALLY someone was able to grill my fish for me the way I asked (and the "catch of the day" was grouper which is hard to grill since it's such a light filet) - but it was perfect! Salad, onion soup, and wine were also very good - and one of the best desserts I had during the trip which was the apple strudel. They also have a few intimate tables set up outside (torches for lighting) if you're looking for a more romantic meal (will have to try that next time.) Service also could not have been better and at the end of dinner (we were one of the few tables left since it was late), one of the waiters amazed us with magic tricks and made a heart out of a balloon for me to take home. Fun night and great dinner!

We ate dinner here our first night, it was right next store from our resort. Dinner was fine nothing 5 star but enjoyable and not real expensive. Will probably give another try next year.

We were very disappointed with this restaurant. The food was just "OK". The service was poor. We got our meal before our drinks and we were seated next to another table when the restaurant was almost empty. We do not plan to return to this restaurant.

After 21 years of fine dining on the island of Aruba my wife has finally had the best meal ever. The French Steakhouse has always been a staple on our annual visits, but never quite made the cut when we talked about the top restaurants. This years meal has changed our thinking.

The restaurant is comfortable and friendly, The service was great and sometimes bordered on doting. However, it was the entrees which stole the show this year. My wife's beef tenderloin was to die for and although my churrasco steak was delicious I missed the ringing of the bell and the chorus "Ohh la la".

This restaurant has certainly moved up the list for us and is worth a fresh look if you haven't been for awhile.

Many people go to this restaurant for the set manu. They have a daily five course meal and an early bird three course meal which has a cutoff time at 7 PM. Both are of excellent value. If you are hungary, go for the five course. I could not finish it. The three course early bird dinner is good enough. The five vourse goes for $34.95 and $22.95 for three. 15% service will be added to your bill.

I had the 12 oz. churrasco when I did the five course a couple months ago. It was made to my order of medium rare. Very juicy and tender. Two days ago we went for the early bird. I had salad for appetizer, grouper for the main course. I had to skip the apple strudel for dissert because by the time I finished the main course I was already full. I asked for coffee instead.

The restaurant has live piano. The atmosphere is fitting for a quiet dinner. You will enjoy the place.

There is a new chef here and also a new outside area in which to eat - on a patio next to the Italian restaurant. The food and service were excellent. Ask for Harold; he spoils you! The Ambassador special for $35 is a steal! The calamari, soup, salad, tenderloin, churrasco, cheesecake, hocolate cake, rolls were delicious. We ate there twice. Great atmosphere, food, and attentive service. They also had an excellent and reasonable wine list.

After reading the reviews, we had to give this place a try. We arrived early for the three course "early bird" special. Three of us had this and my husband had the five course dinner. Both were excellent values. Two had the grouper and after our trip was over, this was still a favorite meal. The churrasco steak was amazing. Charred on the outside and moist and juicy on the inside!

The Apfel Strudel was a perfect end to the meal. The French Steakhouse is a great value. I would recommend it to anyone.
