Stopped here for lunch on the way back from Mango Halto. Been here 3 or 4 times before….. had to get our shrimp bisque fix!! Was very good, but recipe had changed slightly – more tomato base, less garlic, still 3 big shrimp, and still very good!! Had the special tuna & shrimp wrap, and grouper. Portions big, priced right, and a great view!! He added an extension at the back for 40 more people – looking over the nature area.

We took a drive to find some restaurants that we might be going to on this trip and stopped for lunch at B-55. There was only one other table occupied. DW ordered a Rum Punch & I ordered a Margerita. Waitress said that she didn't have all the ingredients for the margarita, so I ordered a vodka martini instead. Waitress returned with the rum punch and a margarita – she said she made the margarita (without asking me) even though she didn’t have all the ingredients. After the first sip, I realized what the missing ingredient was – that would be Tequila. Then she had the gall to ask me if my drink was too strong – I had to control myself to keep from laughing & just said “not at all”. Waitress also asked DW if her rum punch was too strong also. DW later told me that she couldn’t taste any rum at all. Maybe the bartender was MIA. We ordered wine with lunch instead of any more drinks. DW had a salad with chicken breast & I had the Grouper with shrimps & lobster sauce. I thought my dish was very large for lunch – Grouper was excellent, but shrimp were just OK – they were not the fresh shrimps, but the frozen variety. DW said salad was good, but chicken breast was hard. We would not go there for dinner. Cost with tip = 54.00

We ate at B 55 three times during our recent months stay in Aruba. Each time we were there, the food was absolutely delicious and the service was perfect!! What a great open air restaurant looking out over Aruba and out into the sea. Their prices are so reasonable and the portions are huge and very delicous and the place is kept immaculate/very clean. We are looking forward to returning to B 55 during our next months stay in Aruba, it has become one of our favorites in Aruba.

We ate this afternoon at B55. The setting is perfect! But the food, sorry to tell, was niet that great. It was not seasoned at all. The dessert, homemade, was pre-heated. They have a playground for the kids, very nice!
