I've read a lot of these reviews and haven't seen anyone mention the highlight of Iguana Joes - the Keshi Jena!! I have been going to Aruba every year for 20 years and have tried the Aruban dish at many local restaurants where it is always delicious, but Iguana Joe's is the best ever! We go there at least once every year and ALWAYS order the Keshi Jena and recommend it to anyone we know who is going to Aruba. If you eat at Iguana Joes, you are really missing out if you don't order it! Can't wait to get there in July to eat it again!

We eat lunch at Iguana Joe's every time we go to Aruba. The location is very central and the view (they are on the second floor in the heart of downtown) is nice. Te food is a notch above typical bar food - I'd consider it to be high end bar setting. It's a perfect place to eat lunch if you're shopping downtown.

Iguana Joes is the great burger/sandwich and drinks place to visit in Aruba. The drink menu is large with a great warning that some are going to be quite strong, and yes they are. The BBQ Burger was cooked perfectly with a nice soft bun and sweet BBQ sauce. My wife had the chicken quesadillas which she said were very good and she really liked that the sour cream and salsa were served in little fried dough cups. The only negative was that service was hit or miss. We went twice and one day our server was very fun, friendly, and checked up on us a few times. The other day we were talked to maybe twice. If you're downtown in Oranjestad and want a great lunch and fun drink, this is the spot.

My husband and I just returned from 12 days in Aruba. We ate at Iguana Joe's 4 times !!!. We love this place for great lunches or a casual dinner. Their ribs are the best. Their drinks are great too. They have 2 of the best bartenders on the island in Dino and Alberto - keep up the great work. Friendly place and always good times. We will be back.

Great view of LG Smith Blvd so we stopped for drinks. Open air porch was nice.
Ordered a Golden Margarita on the rocks with salt. Menu said it was made with "fresh lime juice." The drink arrived with sugar on the rim and a glowing green liquid inside the glass. It was overly sweet and did not taste like any fresh lime juice was in it.
The server was not overly friendly but he did offer to replace the drink. Sadly, the "Mojito" was worse.

Iguana Joe's is a fun place to visit and the food is certainly good. Portions are large, ribs are excellent. The Sangria is also worth trying - it is delicious. We were somewhat hesitant about returning to Iguana Joe's because of a bad experience 5 years previous (our credit card was charged ~ $100 nearly 1 year after our visit...luckily AmEx reversed the charge) but we did enjoy our dinner this time. If you are looking for a less expensive meal that is still tasty, try Iguana Joe's!

I gotta say in my 2 years of coming here it's remained as good as it was last year. The portions are so big we've learned to just have one entree and an appetizer!
Great selection of drinks and as far as service goes I was pleasantly surprised that our waitress recognized me from last year. Little things like that are really nice considering how many people go in there on a day to day basis. When I go back I may have to look her up and offer her a drink on me!

You guys definitely have to work on your presentation of the dishes, looking at the plates does not invite for dinner at all. Think back the way you presented the Burrito five years ago and you do it today, you guys went 10 steps back instead forward! Service is only okay, but not good enough in these days, seems to be very uninterested in their job, unfortunately!

Our favorite "casual" place in Aruba. If you are looking for a great sandwich, burger or just a lite meal, do not miss Iguana Joes. The food is always good - you must try their ribs - best on the island. The drinks are great too. They have the best bartender in Dino. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Make sure to try the Oreo Cookie dessert - heaven !

We ate here last week. It was very crowded, because there were three cruise boats. The service was not so friendly. They were correctly, but nothing more then that.
We had the BBQ Ribs and the Jamaican Jerk. The ribs were great.
