2 Fools and a Bull
Don't be Fooled by the name of the new eatery which has taken up residence in what was the Espanjola Way on the Palm Beach Road in Noord. 2 Fools and a Bull offers guests a unique dining experience previously unknown to Aruba. The 2 Fools, Fred Wanders and Paul Faas have created a unique atmosphere in a restored Old Cunucu House guaranteeing that guests at 2 Fools and a Bull, feel they are entering a private home. Taking center stage, is a fully restored, authentic French firewall, the only one of its kind in the Caribbean! A comfortable "dining bar" seating a maximum of 18 faces the French firewall inviting diners to observe the open kitchen where food becomes art for the senses.

2 Fools and a Bull--not to be missed!

A wonderful, unique environment. Custom prepared gourmet food. Two crazy, fun loving hosts! All of this adds up to a gastronomic treat with a floor show.

Our party dined with the Fools on Friday, March 16th. We laughed and enjoyed ourselves!

Can't wait to come back next year!

2 Fools and a Bull is a foodies dream! My husband and I dined at 2 Fools and Bull while we were in Aruba last week ( 3/16/12) and we had a delightful time.

2 Fools and a Bull is a unique dining experience where diners are to feel they are eating in the chef's home, gathered at a large table that wraps around the kitchen. It was great to get to dine with other fellow foodies, discuss great food, and watch our chef prepare our food.

The night starts with welcome drinks out on the back patio, giving you a chance to meet Paul, Fred and fellow diners. Additionally, the cocktail is delicious. This gives Paul and Fred a chance to talk to you about the evening ahead of you!

Additionally, Paul does a fantastic job of keeping everyone engaged and keepng our glasses full- let it be wine or water! I would highly suggest doing the wine pairing throughout dinner though, Paul will allow you to get just one glass, all of the pairings or your own bottle. It is very much like being at home in that you can have what you would like. Paul is very generous with his pours and topping off your glass!

There is a set menu each night and when you make your reservations you are to specify any diet restrictions or allergies. A fellow diner had a shellfish allergy and she was completely taken care of throughout the night, at no expense to her. Her food was as heavenly as the rest of ours!

Fred created five delicious courses for us, each building deeper flavors. Each course I was left craving more, but knew I had to prepare myself for the next course. One nice thing is that it is a very laid back setting, and the courses are nicely spread out. Between courses we chatted, relaxed on the back patio or took pictures. It was a nice break up from course to course.

I cannot say enough about this place- it has sensational food, a great atmosphere, a fabulous chef and host!! It is a must go to place when you are visiting Aruba so be sure to e-mail Paul soon for your reservation.

Few people write reviews that we agree with as well as Olivier and Mily have done for 2 FOOLS and a BULL. The place is absolutely fabulous, the food is exceptional, and the ambiance, atmosphere, and experience are things not to be missed. 2 FOOLS clearly is among the new dining trend in ARUBA of, what we call, private dining. It has a fixed menu that can be modified beforehand to any dietary constraints and a limited number of seats - so reservations are an absolute must. In our case there are some dietary restrictions and they were handled exceptionally well. It was a truly enjoyable and relaxing experience and one that we reccommend to all. Take the time to become a FOOL and a 2 FOOLS devotee.

An experience like no other...Absolutely exciting.

If you are going to try one restaurant from this genre of cooking, it has to be 2 fools and a Bull .Thankfully not pretentious-the whole experience was amazing. The staff (Paul & Fred)were superb-happy, informative without ever being overbearing.

A tour of the amazing kitchen, and the authentic French firewall followed by Champagne with Fruits seated Outside on the patio with the full moon, and then the 5 course feast.....wow......the intensity of flavours and sheer imagination were breathtaking. Be sure to save a little space for the coffee and brandy..

With an open mind and revel in the experience...is this the best in Aruba ? subjective of course, but for this style of cooking any serious competition would have to be extra special....Definitely unique atmosphere in a restored 1918 Cunucu House.........enjoy as we did!!

If you want to feel special and like a local, this is a place for you. It helps to be a bit of a foodie with a broad palatte as it's a single set menu for all guests. Loved every course and go with the wine pairings. Fred and Paul go out of their way to make you feel welcome and deserve every success. Save this place for the night you want a bit of sophisticated dining in a unique setting.
