Fantastic Eveing

Jun 15, 2013 - posted by
We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary on 8 June 2013 at Barefoot and it was a truly wonderful evening. Arrived at 6.30 so we could see the magical sunset and the staff were extremely attentive, the food excellent and the ambience brilliant - even the odd small aircraft arriving at the airport made no difference.

Thanks to all.

Excellent dining

We have dined four times within one week in this restaurant because food, service and atmosphere are really outstanding. You may easily order a starter as main dish if you are less hungy. Don't miss the Two Tuna which is very special.

A Unique Dining Experience

May 2, 2013 - posted by
This restaurant is on the beach with a view of the setting sun, planes arriving at the airport, and freighters leaving Aruba. There are more tables outside on the sand as are undercover providing totally different settings. The service was excellent as was our meal. The bread was warm and the tapenade tasty. My Grouper Romano was large and delicious as was my wifes chicken and pineapple dish. Desert was apple strudel ala mode, and with coffee was a nice way to end the evening. We visited Barefoot a second time during our vacation, and this time sat on front row of the beach near the water. Again, we had excellent service, and this time we both chose the daily 3-course special. Both meals were very good. The sunset was lovely and added to the dining experience. The only unusual aspect of the evening, was a young lady who spread out her towel between us and the water (Aruba's beaches are all public, so she was entitled to occupy that space), and stood around watching the diners and working with her phone. This was a bit of a distraction as we were watching the sunset, but made for interesting conversation between my wife and me. This is an excellent restaurant with great food and service.

Best place to Dine

Barefoot is now a favorite place to dine.
The food is so good, presentation, wonderful.
and THE AMBIANCE!
My idea of a perfect on the water dining spot.
All their fish dishes are superb. Their salads are
wonderful too.
We went with a crowd of 7 people, and we were treated wonderfully. Definite destination each trip, and we go to Aruba 2x a year.

Don't eat late

Mar 29, 2013 - posted by
We arrived shortly after 9 pm and our reservation was not quite ready. They did however accommodate us on the beach right next to the water. Unfortunately they never assigned us a waiter and the host had to take our order. Our appetizers showed before our cocktails. After we inquired about our drinks, they finally arrived. Everything was delicious. The entrees took quite some time to arrive but when they did everyone enjoyed what they had ordered, with the exception of my son's tenderloin that was over cooked. When my meal was served I asked for a fork because mine was taken with the appetizers and it took 3 people to finally get one when someone noticed I wasn't eating my meal. Dessert was wonderful as was all the other food and drinks. The service was very friendly but virtually non existent. Too bad but would return but not late in the evening

GETTING BETTER AND BETTER EVERY YEAR

Mar 18, 2013 - posted by
We have eaten at BAREFOOT ever since it opened and have never been disappointed with their service, ambiance, or food and, unlike many places, all of that has been getting better and better with each passing visit and this year was no exception. It is going to be hard to see how they will improve over what they accomplished this year and we would be just as happy if they stay at the same level of performance that they provided this year. Quite simply the meal we had a BAREFOOT was one of the best we had during our stay and what made it even nicer was to hear the same thing from so many other people that dined here this year as well. Whatever they are doing at BAREFOOT is being done well and properly and the standards they are achieving are reflecting the efforts that have gone into doing so. We commend everyone who has made this restaurant a top contender in the relatively short time that it has existed and look forward to future years of greatness from them. Needless to say, WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO EVERYONE. And, as a side note, the construction in the area that we have wondered about for a while is coming along quite nicely and appears to be taking the form of a nicely done public park and walkway which will eventually, when done, enhance the entire NIKKI BEACH area and add to the BAREFOOT experience (in the meantime put up with the slight inconvenience - the restaurant is worth doing so).

Fantastic dinner!

What really can I say. This is the second year in a row that we had an incredible meal at Barefoot. Dining confortably under a huge palapa or on the beach provides a great setting. Tables are not "on top" of each other so you can have a conversation. The staff is extremely professional and service is very good.
The food was very, very good once again. The tomato soup, that sounded kind of boring to me, was INCREDIBLE!!! A thick roasted tomato flavor with a basil oil that I could eat forever....not cream based. And entrees from the grouper, tuna and steak were all well prepared and well seasoned.
Barefoot, near the airport, is definitely worth the cab ride from Palm Beach. It did not disappoint!

Our first time in Barefoot. Lovely setting, inventive cuisine, pleasant easy-going staff. All five of us enjoined the experience.
"Environment" is 9 only because the music from a place next door was loud.

Barefoot Restaurant newbie

As first-timers we were delighted by our dinner experience at Barefoot. Comparable to Fishbone for the great beach ambience and quality of our meals. The staff were very accommodating of our 'off the menu' requests and the meals were beautifully presented and delicious. Will be back again soon!

We love barefoot. We have come many times. The atomsophere, the food, just wonderful. The fish, the steaks. the salad!
Great. and we will continue to go, visiting soon in March

My only problem are the smokers. they should be out on the beach or next to the bar, We had a beautiufl seat by the railing and a couple blew smoke all night in our faces. they shoud sit somewhere away from the main crowd. It made me sick and my husband.

we will go back we love it at barefoot, but do something about the smokers. your restaurant says "no smoking" NOT TRUE.
