I went here to eat after reading some of the reviews and was very happy I went. Food was great, especially the homemade honey mustard dressing. The service was very good, especially at breakfast, and you get 25% off breakfast with your dinner receipt from a previous dinner there. Early birds are automatically taken off check between 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at 20%. My entire family will return there next year, it was fantastic.

We were disappointed in this restaurant after reading a fler. My opinion is that it is a BAR with a few well worn tables. They advertise a 205 discount for early diners. Very limited menu. Our party of four adults had seven soft drinks at 3.00 each. I guess they don't have happy hour prices for sodas. It would have been cheaper if we drank beer. Our meals were a bacon burger with fries(13.20), Fish and chips(23.80). Ribs with fries(21.20. Surf and turf with fries and three of the smallest shrimp that I have ever seen in Aruba. We had two cheese cakes and two creme brule for desserts. They were out of ice cream. I do not know how they calculated the discount, but they did not charge for two desserts. I guess that is the method they use to give you the dscount. Check total was $72.81 without any service charge added. Not worth a return trip.

Wed 09/14 – Café Rembrandt
We tried this place last year and enjoyed it. Very casual place in the high-rise area. For drinks DW had a Margerita and I had a vodka martini. DW had the chicken sate and I had the filet mignon with a pepper sauce. Good size portions and a generous wine pour – we both had the Hob Nob Pinot Noir.

Our first night we went to dinner here and did not regret. If it were up to us adults (we were traveling with 3 teens), we would have gone back once more. The food is delicious! Something went wrong with my dish, it got delivered to another table, so I had to wait. They made amends by offering me a free glass of wine. It was our least expensive dinner of the vacation and much enjoyed. Much prefer this place over Bingo's, where you're told on the menu to expect slow service, because they're Dutch. Hm, the service last year was so slow and just not caring, that even my Dutch self was annoyed. To top it off, the food was not that great. Cafe Rembrandt over Bingo's any time.

We visited REMBRANDT'S last year and were not overly impressed, but we did decide to give the place a second try this year especially since it was one of the few places open when we decided to grab a late lunch. The food is nothing special and there is some question in our mind as to whether the place was set up to be a restaurant or an elongated bar. Nonetheless the food was edible but it simply was nothing memorable. The owner was the founder of RUMBA'S (which is sadly missed) but somehow the spirit of that place has not been carried over to this one and the owner may be getting a bit complacent with his success and we are told that he is considering expanding across the walkway - what this means for the place is anybody's guess but it would seem a bit imprudent to compete with oneself even if the menues might be different. Bottom lin here is the the restaurant really is nothing special but it is not bad either.

Tucked away in the mini-mall across from the high-rise hotel area. Good for lunch or an affordable dinner or just having a beer. The split pea soup with sausage was great, almost a meal in itself, and the chicken sate was good but not what I was expecting…the huge chunks of chicken on a skewer looked like Flinstone-sized meat portions…it was tasty but just too much. I’d suggest sticking to the Dutch entrees. My husband liked his hamburger, and the fries were good. Nice selection of beers. Casual—no reservation needed.

Found this place to be a nice surprice, great burger and cheap like 8$Us, atmosphere was good with the live music, it is a petty that is surrounded by this even noiser places, was somehow caotic outside, but rembrandt rocks...!

We went to cafe rembrant twice during our stay in Aruba. We loved it. Sat outside both times to people watch. We had the tempura grouper and the pork tenderlion. My husband and I share and we loved both meals. When we returned we said we would try something else but decided to go with what we knew was great so had the same main courses again. Waiters and waitresses were very friendly. I told them I like dark beer like guinness and they brought me out 3 bottles of dark dutch beer to try, was really good and fun. Prices were very, very reasonable. Try it, you will love it.

First time having dinner at Rembrandt’s – we all enjoyed it. DW and DD had the Chicken Sate and I had the Pork Snitzel. For drinks, DW & DD had the cocktail special – a Mango Aruba Ariba and I had a vodka martini straight up with olives. We sat outside where it was very breezy. Inside was very cool, but just a few tables. Only negative was the Malbec DW & I had, which was just a little bit “past”.

We ate here 4 times during our week long stay in Aruba. We loved every menu item ordered (we had a party of five). Service was friendly and great! We look forward to returning to Aruba and will definitely eat here numerous times. Dinner for five was around $75 so the prices are great for excellent food!
