As time share owners we have dined at the Chalet every year since 1990. The food is outstanding - we went again with another couple on 8/8 for our last meal on the island. The Chateaux Briand, the Red Snapper and the "special" roast pork loin were wonderful. We shared 3 delicious appetizers - the hot seafood, fried calamari and a ceasar salad. We ended our meal with the Chocolate Fondue (for two but it easily feeds 4) and the apple struddle a la mode. Everything was great. We look forward to next year in Aruba and again dining in the Chalet Suisse.

My husband and I were married at the Town Civil House on August 24,2008. Our wedding planner suggested the Chalet Suisse for dinner. We LOVED it. Our server Joaquin and the staff were wonderful from the moment we were seated until the end of dinner. I will always remember my dinning experience at the Chalet Suisse. My husband had a Filet Mingnon and I had the Chilean Sea Bass...melt in your mouth good.
If you are going to be in Aruba you must try this restaurant. We came from the midwest to get married in Aruba.

On our 33rd trip to Aruba, we again enjoyed this restaurant twice. We had never visited this restaurant until only about 5 years ago and now it ranks consistently in our top three! We had Humphrey for our primary service person this trip both times, and he was most attentive. Numerous service people look after your needs! Had their Filet Mignon--always perfecto--and a Swiss/Austrian veal dish, like a Jaeger Schnittzel, that was super! Always consistently excellent! How could one NOT really like this restaurant?!

My husband and I ate there tonight and were very pleased. After going to Aruba several times, I had not been to Chalet Suisse since I was a kid. The service was unbeatable, and Aruba is known for its hospitality and service. Humphrey, Francis, and Rueben were great! The food was delicious and we wished that we had saved room for the Toblerone Fondue. Oh well, next time! Decor was quaint, if you are not expecting chic but admire a true chalet feel, you will be happy. We had a great table too - romantic and private!

I, along with my wife and three children-16,14,12, dined at the Chalet Suisse on 7/28/08 and as we did in 2005, we loved it. The food was delicious and well presented. I had the Seafood Chalet appetizer and the Sweedish veal(long Swiss name) and I really enjoyed them both. Everyone else thoughly enjoyed their meal too. We also had a bottle of Hefner Pinot Gregio which was excellent, and we enjoyed our deserts as well. Our server was Humphrey-very pleasant and well informed. He made dining there a pleasure. The maitre d' was also very welcoming and visited our table during our meal to see if everything was okay. My wife and I first dined at the Chalet in 1991 with my uncle, returned in 2005 when we finally went back to Aruba, and again this year. It is one of my favorite restaurants anywhere, and I highly recommend it to all. The food is great, the atmosphere is unique and classy, and for what you get the prices are reasonable. I hope the place never changes, and I look forward to going back this first class restaurant in the future.

My husband and I have been to Aruba many times but have never tried the Chalet Suisse. Unfortunately, we were very disspointed in the food at this restaurant. First off there were ants crawling up the wall and on the table. When we told the waitress she just said " It's hot outside and the ants come in" UGH! The food was barely edible. The beef in the stroganoff was of very poor quality and the Grouper I had was dry and tasteless. If you want a great dining experience in Aruba stick with Madame Jeanettes or Ventanas del Mar. Also, Smokey Joes has fantastic Ribs!!

This was out first time to Chalet Suisse, recommended by friends at the Costa Linda. As a family of 5 (2 adults, 2 older teens, and 1 child), we have been limited in our choices of affordable family-style restaurants with great food. We were definitely not disappointed by Chalet Suisse. I had Wiener Schnitzel which was large and awesome (you could cut it with a fork), my wife had Boeuf Stroganoff which was to die for, and the three children had the ravioli appetizers and side dishes of salad (the healthy teen!), baked potato, and French fries (huge portion that our child could not finish). Equally great were the fresh bread and affordable wine list. We walked back to the Costa Linda with happy tummies and money in the wallet; the entire meal, including a bottle of wine, tip, and taxes, was less than $150 US. This was the best meal we had on the island and highly recommend Chalet Suisse to all families. The atmosphere was great and unlike Steve's unfortunate experience (below), the family did not feel out of place as there were several families dining this evening.

Chalet Suisse is our favorite – a must on every travel to Aruba since 12 years now. As a tradition we choose the Wiener Schnitzel and were always happy. As a change my wife took the Lamb which also was great. We especially enjoy the Austrian wines which you hardly get anywhere else. The service is good, sometimes even a little too fast.
