Disappointing breakfast

Mar 12, 2022 - posted by
Food was ok, no more. We had pancakes & chicken, benedict and a regular 2 eggs breakfast. All were pretty basics. I'm sure there is much better breakfast places around. Prices were on the high side considering the food. Waitress was friendly but not very attentive.

True waste of money

Placed an order here for pickup on Friday night. Ordered the wagyu burger, the wings, and a chicken Caesar salad. I don't expect much - when you place an order just cook it - not looking for anything fancy! I arrived to the restaurant and no one to greet me with a huge line of people waiting for someone to come up and greet them. I decided to walk to the bar and asked if that was my order - meanwhile 3 staff members had their masks around their chins instead of covering their face and nose. I got the food and got out of there. Still no one greeted anyone! Meanwhile back with the food - the burger wasn't even cooked all the way through... how hard is it to cook a burger? Meanwhile the fries were still cold and looked like they forgot to cook them either. The chicken wings tasted pretty disgusting and the salad had the most dry chicken I have ever seen. I basically had a salad with chicken jerky! After I came back from my trip and got settled in - I reached out to their manager (week later) and he told me he would take care of it with his management. A week later - no call. I finally get a hold of him and his management said that because I didn't call right away they decided to ignore my issue. I would advise strongly against this place. Undercooked food is a hazard!

My wife and I have been dining here on multiple vacations in Aruba and this is one of our favorite spots, especially for breakfast. Many good specials and freshly made items. the staff makes you feel welcome, Jess, Magy, and J Carlo are awesome!
Will definitely be going again on our return

Happy Surprise

Wanted to try a new place within walking distance of Marriott Surf. The food and service at this place was superb. The owner, Rutger, is very personable and hands on. Happy to explain their menu and specials. My wife had some dietary restrictions on this trip and they were extremely accommodating. There were a total of five in our party and everyone enjoyed their meal. The barracuda was excellent. Enjoyed it so much first time, we returned for dinner several nights later. Consistent...again, food, service, drinks, all excellent. They also offer a 10% discount on your receipt which can be used for breakfast, lunch or dinner on next visit. If you meet someone named Vickie, she's a hoot!!! Have no reservations in recommending this restaurant.
