Early Bird Special

Dec 3, 2013 - posted by
My wife and I arrived at the French Steakhouse, on the recommendation of my son, at 6:30 for an Early Bird meal. Very soon after we were seated we were greeted by Harold, our server, and Eddie, playing a little Jazz on the piano. We sipped our wine and listened to Eddie switch to some Christmas tunes infused with jazz overtones. Our meals arrived as Ernie began with a beautiful version of Ave Maria. My eyes were on Eddie, he looked like he was really enjoying playing, as I reached for a condiment and knocked my wine over. The wine not only grape dyed the tablecloth but also gave my wife's shrimp scampi, a fulfilled special request, a newly created melbec sauce.
Even before the wine soaked through the tablecloth, Harold was at our table, his arm in the air, silently calling Phyllis over, as he whisked Rita's meal off to the Kitchen for first aid. We were moved over one table, quietly, without fanfare, with only the table on the other side of us with any clue of our embarrassment. Phyllis had us quickly set up at our new table and, as we settled in, Harold brought Rita's meal back looking like in just came off the Chef's line.
Now,the food was really very good (10), Eddie at the piano was talented (10), the Ave Maria, we found out later was his mother's favorite, the staff attention was outstanding (11),but in the end, the combo of all of the above made us feel like we really were rewarded three times over with the Early Bird Special.

Just like home

The French Steakhouse is like going home again, it just feels so good to be there.
We have been going to Aruba for thirty years, and eating at the French Steak House for all thse years.
It's an honest meal for your money, not stuffy with servers always around you, The early bird dinner is still there and for $35.00 a great value, we however wanted to have their ambassador dinner which was taken off the menue.
The steaks are good, the soup was tasty, and the Dmae Blanche is to die for.
Go enjoy a simple menue with good fodd and a good value for your money.

Comfort Food

Nov 2, 2013 - posted by
We try to fit in French Steakhouse, but don't always do it since we like to try new places. When we went to Ike's twice this trip, we noticed that the French Steakhouse was doing good business - so we decided on it since I was looking forward to another Churrasco. I had the Escargot to start. DW had the Shrimp & Scallops (she asked if they could skip the Scallops & they were happy to oblige) and I had the Churrasco steak. Price was $106.03, which included 2 drinks, 2 glasses of wine, 15% Svc Chg, extra tip, and 2 free glasses of wine coupons.

A Lovely Evening

Sep 4, 2013 - posted by
We enjoyed a lovely evening at French Steakhouse last night. There were 10 of us, including two 5-year old children. The adults all chose the 5-course Ambassador meal and the kids each ordered a regular meal. The Keshi Yena was outstanding for an appetizer and the salad and soup were delicious. Most got the churraso steak, and a few chose fish. All followed by dessert. Each course that was brought out was presented beautifully and the service was very attentive. The décor had a "French" look to it and the piano player delivered great music.

Fabulous

Have been eating here for over 20 years and it's still fabulous.
The service is impeccable! Clean, fresh food, but I feel the desserts needs work; chocolate cake is dry.
Can't beat the Ambassador meal plan, they also offer an early bird special.
This place is always on our list to dine when we go to Aruba.

Even with all of the great restaurants in palm beach the trip to mancheba beach to dine at the French Steakhouse was well worth it.
The snails were fantastic.

French Steakhouse is Awesome!

Aug 2, 2013 - posted by
We always look forward to enjoying an under the star romantic dinner at the French Steakhouse. If it's seafood or steak on your preferred dinner for that evening the Chef gets it right. We have also been fortunate to have Harold as our waiter, his sense of humor and attention to detail always makes it a great evening. The saxaphone live entertainment also ads to the ambiance, and he will even play your favorite song. we have never been disapointed at the French Steakhouse at Manchebo Beach Resort! Enjoy.
