We ate here for a late lunch after a fun-filled day in Oranjestad. It is a nice location, open-air and above the action of the busy street below. Both of us had mahi-mahi sandwiches, which were slightly dry(but I think that's typical for this fish)and with enough of Iguana Joe's hot sauce who cares anyway? Definitely worth stopping in to eat, sit, relax, and soak up the sites!

Not too impressed w/ this restaurant. We ate here our first night, b/c we were starving and it was the first place we found. The view is nice, but the food was just ok. I didn't think this was anything I couldn't get back home. My husbands steak was overdone, and my shrimp were the smallest I saw on the island. The hostess was rude when we walked up. One of the waitresses acutally had to nudge her to look up at us. The waitress was ok, but a little slow with the drinks. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant, as there are others that are way better.

Just a fun place. My wife and I had our last dinner on the island here and it was a great way to end our trip. Low key, relaxed, with a great mix of food. Nothing fantastic or out of this world, just good food with a decent view. I definitely recommend the nachos appetizer! My wife got the rib appetizer for dinner, perfect size of about 8 ribs. I went with enchiladas and spiced it up with one of their hot sauces. All very tasty! Will definitely be back!

What can I say. this is just a fun place to eat. we go every trip and make it an early dinner and just love to people watch from the second floor that its on. we split an order of ribs for an appetizer and as usual were tender and tasty and for dinner I always get the chicken dish topped with gouda cheese and my husband got the jambalaya. both delicious.

This was a neat place to eat! We ate on the terrace and had a view of L.G. Smith Boulevard and the water! The service was TERRIBLE. We ate our whole meal without a refill on drinks after repeatedly asking :( The food was good and the drinks were good. i think the 15% service on all meals is a croc because the waiters dont care what kind of service they give...they KNOW they will get a tip either way so.....

We had drinks and appetizers in the early afternnon. It is very close to shopping so it is convenient for stopping in. Our husbands sat and watched sports while we shopped. The Pink Iguana drink is really good-we had several!! We sat at the bar with good service. Lots of good food & drinks to pick from. We didn't get a chance to eat a full meal, but would have liked to. The staff is nice. We asked them for recommendations for places to eat & things to do.

We loved Iguana Joe's. The drinks were fantastic as was the service. I liked the comfortable atmosphere. The nachos were out of this world and the open air dining was great. I will definetly be back there again!

We had lunch at Iguana Joes in march 2007. I had the Iguan Nacho's and my husband the grilled chicken sandwich. It took a while for it to be served, yet not too long. The food was delicious and the pricing OK. The only thing we couldn't appreciate much was the so called "hostess". When we entered the restaurant she gazed at us, obviously very bored, and didn't even bother to take us to a table. So we sat down ourselves. We observed her during our lunch and the whole time she had an expression on her face that said "I hate my job". I hope she finds another job soon....
