Madame Janette
Ramon Helgers and Karsten Gesing founded Madame Janette April 2nd
1999. Their collaboration resulted into a place, which offers fine dining in a casual atmosphere.

Ramon is responsible for the exotic fruits, herbs and vegetables you will find in not only our dishes, but also in most supermarkets on Aruba. Karsten, a European Master Chef, trained in 'old school' traditions creates, with help from his knowledgeable international
staff, tasteful and creative dishes. Their combined worldwide experience
gives their dishes an original flavour with a touch of Caribbean in it. We call it the Madame Janette Experience! We hope that you will have a wonderful dining romance.

Greatly enjoyed our meal. Both of us had the almond crusted grouper and it was excellent(as always. Wanted to get desert but the portions were so big that neither of us had room for it. The courtyard seating was comfortable(nice breeze)and the music great. Service was good too. Definitely a must to go to.

Fifth year in a row and not disappointed. Very large portions, which I thought might be an issue after reading a few other reviews. There were four of us and we couldn't finish (again). Rave reviews from the table for variety, preparation, and taste

The best food I've ever tasted! The best restaurant experience in my life! From the moment we stepped out of the cab, we had amazing service. The greeters, hosts, bar staff, waiters and the musician all made it a memorable evening for me and my loved ones. The twinkling lights, candles, cloth flames and overall ambience just made it that much more heartwarming. We still look at the pictures we had taken there and remember every moment fondly.

Mme J's is always our first night dinner and alway is perfect! So June 30th was no exception. My wife had her Almond Grouper and loved it as always. My Tournados were just a touch dry.... but still excellent! We had the black and white shrimp as an appetizer and the 'ever so wonderful' crab cakes! Everything was great from the setting, service, food and entertainment. Don't miss this dining experience!

We have been going here for 10 years and we always go twice while we are in aruba. We think this is our very favorite restaurant on the island and when ever we bring people with us they always love it too. The waiter we had this yeat was super he talked with us and told us different interest that he likes from his native home. I am looking forward to going back again and we are bringing new people so we are looking forward to them enjoying it also. I love the cream of spinache.

I visited this restaurant 3 different times when I visited this Island & everything was awesome!! Diana, Susan & Jorge were great in service ,& making sure everything was satisfactory. Food was fantastic. Almond crusted grouper. Wow, it diesn't get any better and we visited a number of different restaurants and this is by far the best we visited. Thanks Again!! The 2$ man, Terry

It was white asparagus season so we ordered alot of dishes from the special menu - all were fantastic!

I like to eat somewhat healthy so I've finally learned what to order here in order to bypass some of the heavier entrees. I usually enlist the help of the waiter, and as usual, they were "spot on" with their recommendations. This time around I stuck with one of their Caribbean Delight entrees - the sea bass was cooked perfectly and the salad had a great house vinaigrette.

Always a lovely evening at MJ's with a nice ambiance in their garden area along with great food!

We have been dining at Madame Janette since it opened and always have been pleased. However, this time my son & daughter in law were there the week before and had a special surprise dinner and wine pairing set up for us. What a fabulous experience! Everything was delicious! Thank you K8 and Jorge.

My wife and I enjoyed an outstanding evening at Madame Janette. The garden setting was beautiful, the food and service outstanding and the evening a very special one. The music was perfect for the evening. This was our fourth time there and we will continue to come every visit. Thank you Madame Janette.

This restaurant is one of the best on the island. The food is the best. The pricing is in line with all top restaurants on the island. The place was packed when we went. Do not let any bad reviews stop you from going to MJ's, you will miss something special. Service was great even with every table being filled, thanks Jorge.
