Madame Janette
Ramon Helgers and Karsten Gesing founded Madame Janette April 2nd
1999. Their collaboration resulted into a place, which offers fine dining in a casual atmosphere.

Ramon is responsible for the exotic fruits, herbs and vegetables you will find in not only our dishes, but also in most supermarkets on Aruba. Karsten, a European Master Chef, trained in 'old school' traditions creates, with help from his knowledgeable international
staff, tasteful and creative dishes. Their combined worldwide experience
gives their dishes an original flavour with a touch of Caribbean in it. We call it the Madame Janette Experience! We hope that you will have a wonderful dining romance.

Was told it was a tourists trap. Not at all. Service was warm and friendly. Food was great. The portions were large and we had to bring some home.

This is our first time in Aruba and multiple people recommended this restaurant. Now I know why. This was, by far, the best meal we have had on the island. We are early bird eaters and had very attentive and prompt service. The salads were HUGE and very fresh (I recommend you share one) and both entrees were delicious and beautifully plated.

we just heard this restaurant was open for the first time in June. So we give it a shot. We had no reservation and we where a party of 8. But it was not a problem. We had a beautiful table under the gazebo. The waitress was really sweet and toke good care of us. We had a couple of appetizers which we shared. Some caesar salads, hot shrimp and the carpaccio with asparagus. All very delicious. For main-course we had almond grouper which was so good ! The special seabass, and my wive had the salmon special, also very nice. My cousin had the the Butcher Steak and some of them had the tenderloin. All the meat was grilled perfectly and the most tender we had out whole trip!. For dessert we had a chocolate souffle and the chocolate cake which was outstanding ! It was our best night out, so thank you madame janette. hope you will stay open every year. Cause we will be back !!!!

At the urging of our friends back home, we tried this restaurant. We each had the Almond encrusted Grouper with creamed spinach sauce and white asparagus, and the potatos gratin.

No one has done the grouper better, cooked to perfection. The potatos reminded me of eating at home, they were great as well

The only down side are the chairs on the stones.
They are a little rickety and how about a cushion.
Service was great we were not rushed although every table was filled.

This restaurant is pricey even for this island.

Visiting this place each year for the Asparagus weeks. Our waiter's name was Jorge, small local guy with a great working spirit and top-notch attitude infront of his guests. Food was very good and that fresh european asparagus was perfectly cooked in its dish. We had two Dixie Chicks and a Gordon blue. Was a great evening in a great restaurant !!!

The food here was very heavy. It was very creamy and saucy. We came to this restaurant due to the reviews. However, we were very disappointed in the food. The portions are very generous though. They have a live singer which was also a plus. Would I ever go to this place again? Absolutely not. If you do like very fatty, creamy, and heavy stuff. This is the place to go. I had the grouper and my wife had the shrimp dish.
