Madame Janette
Ramon Helgers and Karsten Gesing founded Madame Janette April 2nd
1999. Their collaboration resulted into a place, which offers fine dining in a casual atmosphere.

Ramon is responsible for the exotic fruits, herbs and vegetables you will find in not only our dishes, but also in most supermarkets on Aruba. Karsten, a European Master Chef, trained in 'old school' traditions creates, with help from his knowledgeable international
staff, tasteful and creative dishes. Their combined worldwide experience
gives their dishes an original flavour with a touch of Caribbean in it. We call it the Madame Janette Experience! We hope that you will have a wonderful dining romance.

We just visited for the first time. It was WONDERFUL! The crabcake appetizer was one of the best my husband has had. He also had the Argentine steak and scalloped potatoes which were great. I had a chicken pasta special that was to die for. Service was fast and friendly. Definitely worth the trip!

Had 6:30 PM reservations and we were shown to our table immediately. I was surprised at the overall large size of the restaurant. Waiter informed us they were already out of 3 items on the menu. Seemed odd since it was only 6:30 and one of the items was their signature steak for 2. We selected entrees - steak for me and halibut for my wife. My wife was extremely disappointed in her meal stating there was very very little halibut. Waiters and servers seemed to be literally running throughout the restaurant. Found it to be unnerving.
Restaurant came highly recommended and we can now say we ate at Madamme Janette's. Probably would not do it again.
One additional item I thought strange. At 6:30 there were no 16 or 32 oz beer mugs available. Waiter told us there were other tables also waiting to get a 16 oz beer.

We haven’t missed any opportunity to eat at Madam Janettes on any of our trips to Aruba. It is one of our favorites and it continues to deliver great food and service in a very comfortable environment. The menu always changes slightly so there’s always something new to try and there is something for everyone. On our last visit we particularly enjoyed the entertainment - A new female vocalist we hadn’t heard before was excellent.

I have to say that the food was very very good! I always ate fish and it tasted delicious! My freind ate a old butcher Steak and he celebrated to eat the steak. So it is a great place to have dinner. One thing is missing: The seaview.
But there are a beautiful bar and a wonderful garden where you can sit and enjoying your drink and a good cigare, if you are a smoker. Sorry for my bad english.:-(
So, have fun at madame jeanette!
regards

Great evening with no false notes. Service was efficient and friendly and the food was great. We were initially steered to a table right by the kitchen but once we asked to be moved away from the noise they gave us a table right on the edge of the patio.
Next trip we will definitely return to Madame Janette's. We had reservations at 6:30 and it worked great, no waiting.

Odd experience. We had reservations, were seated immediately, and had our bread, water and drinks quickly. The appetizers were delicious and also came quickly. However, OUR ENTREES CAME TWO HOURS LATER! If we weren't enjoying our friends' company, the music and atmosphere, we would have left. Our server disappeared, so we had to ask another one to find our food. Although some meager apologies were made, we didn't even get a complimentary cup of coffee for the ridiculously long wait. Now I know this sounds odd, but as aggravating as that was, the food and atmosphere were so good that we will definitely go back the next time we're in Aruba. I'll just have to remember to bring a good book to read while I'm waiting for my dinner.

Madame Janette's does not disappoint. Portions of food are huge and still manage to taste well. Atmosphere is quaint like sitting in the backyard on a summer'e evening.

Went on a night that it rained so when we arrived things were a little crazy. We had 8:00pm reservation and got seated around 8:30pm, not too bad. The meals were very good (rack of lamb & beef.
