Madame Janette

Madame Jannettes was highly recommended to me and my boyfriend by several people who had visited Aruba. I must say that my expectations were exceeded. The mushroom puff pastry was absolutely unbelievable, I now dream about eating one every day!! Our main courses were fabulous. We had the salmon and filet mignon, both of which were presented well and cooked and seasoned perfectly. Our meal ended with a chocolate souflee that was very good. It could have been just a bit more sweet, but all in all everything was incredible.

This is our 12th year visiting Aruba. We are now fortuante to come 2 weeks. In those 2 weeks, we visited MJ's 4x.
Lovely table, fabulous food, best martini on the Island and superb sevice! We dream about this place all year, until we can come back. We love it. Such a super variety, from weiner schnitzel, to the almond grouper, to the abosolutley decadent Princes Grace halibut. OUR FAVORITE PLACE by far.

beautiful atmosphere the help was great very crowded the food was good a little heavy for me but i enjoyed it... the portions are a nice size i couldnt finish my plate which i usually do n the dessert was awesome

Just to end all ridiculous rumors going arround
Madame Janette’s has had an immigration control last Thursday night, they took 6 workers for further control because of not having the proper papers on them that night. Only 1 issue was found and we cleared that up in the next couple of days, and all is back to normal ever since.
The restaurant was closed by Management itself later that evening since we could not guarantee to uphold our quality of service that we are proud of having every night.
These kind of checks are very common on Aruba, every restaurant, bar or hotel has them.
Madame Janette was open as normal the next evening and it doing 500+ covers a night since.

It was raided on 03-06-08 by INS. We had 530 reservations. We were seated around 615, after that initial seating they shut down the restaurant. They did not have enough help in the kitchen to make the dishes. This was our 4th trip to the restaurant, 2nd of our trip and was the biggest disappointment!

we heard good things about this place and tried to get a reservation, with no luck on line.
while in Aruba, we heard that this place was raided by the INS and closed the place down. 3/6/08

Our first trip to Aruba and we read all the reviews and figured we must go. Everything we read was true. Wonderful food, atmosphere and they treated our 12 year old son on his birthday very special. Free slice of birthday cake with singer and staff singing happy birthday along with a present from the manager himself. I would recommend it anytime. You can not go wrong.

I am absolutely disappointed with this place. Food was way below average as well as service. We expected so much out of this place. Not sure how people can highly recommend this place. I cannot even compare it to Flying Fishbone and Screaming Eagle. These two places were amazing and Madame Janette is just a place you can skip.

Excellent meal, large portions, nice atmosphere. There is a cabaret style singer and the meal is mostly outdoors, so plan accordingly.

As usual, everything was wonderful. My husband's burgerloin and my Gianni Versace were delicious. The only thing that I noticed was that the lobster medallion was much smaller this year! Service was excellent!
