Madame Janette
Ramon Helgers and Karsten Gesing founded Madame Janette April 2nd
1999. Their collaboration resulted into a place, which offers fine dining in a casual atmosphere.

Ramon is responsible for the exotic fruits, herbs and vegetables you will find in not only our dishes, but also in most supermarkets on Aruba. Karsten, a European Master Chef, trained in 'old school' traditions creates, with help from his knowledgeable international
staff, tasteful and creative dishes. Their combined worldwide experience
gives their dishes an original flavour with a touch of Caribbean in it. We call it the Madame Janette Experience! We hope that you will have a wonderful dining romance.

Madame Janette was a lovely spot with very good food. While there was not a specific children's menu, our kids were treated very kindly and were able to eat smaller portions of pasta and pasta with red sauce. The atmosphere and service were excellent -- definitely the best dining experience we had while on Aruba.

Madame Janette's is a must-go!!! The atmosphere alone is a romantic sight to see, but the food is wonderful! I had pork loin covered in sauteed onions in a Madagascar peppercorn sauce, and my boyfriend had surf & turf. For dessert we shared apple strudel w/ vanilla ice cream. Only one warning - wear bug spray! This was the only time I ever saw a mosquito, and they certainly made a meal of my ankles! It was worth it, though! :)

A must when in Aruba. We heard alot of hype about this place, and believe me it was all accurate. I had the Filet with lobster that was out of this world, and my wife had the roasted duck that was also incredible. The service was fantastic, and the atmosphere was also.A little pricey, but well worth treating yourself .We will definitely go back next month when we're vivsiting Aruba again.

Madame Janette's is a must for every trip to ARUBA. The food is excellent and the ambiance couldn't be nicer!!
Of course the MUSIC, added to the other things, topped off a perfect evening for my family.
I look forward to a return visit soon!

If you are going to Aruba, then make a reservation right now for Madame Janette's as it is always packed. This is the one place that you can't afford to miss.

We were there Sept. 2006 and it was nothing less than magical. Everything that I have read saying how great it is, is true!

And yes, the Au Gratin Potatoes are worth getting excited about.

Food and service were so good we went back a 2nd time two nights later! Very acommodating for kids (offered to make just about anything in kids size) and very friendly attentive staff. We had the crab cakes and Sea Bass which were excellent, the Almond crusted Grouper in Creamed spinach sauce which was to die for, and lobster tails which were good. Our 2nd night was slightly less rewarding- the Schnitzel was HUGE but just ok, the rack of lamb was very good. We will be back every time we go to Aruba.

Ambiance was wonderful and food was outstanding. Salads were very large and excellent. Rack of Lamb was cooked medium rare, to perfection. Pork tenderloin was grilled with fried onions, mushrooms and covered with gouda cheese. Very good.
The dessert was a large piece of coconut cake that was a perfect finish to an outstanding meal. Very nice courtyard ambiance, with tables well spaced, nice 60's & 70's guitar music and singer.
