Madame Janette
Ramon Helgers and Karsten Gesing founded Madame Janette April 2nd
1999. Their collaboration resulted into a place, which offers fine dining in a casual atmosphere.

Ramon is responsible for the exotic fruits, herbs and vegetables you will find in not only our dishes, but also in most supermarkets on Aruba. Karsten, a European Master Chef, trained in 'old school' traditions creates, with help from his knowledgeable international
staff, tasteful and creative dishes. Their combined worldwide experience
gives their dishes an original flavour with a touch of Caribbean in it. We call it the Madame Janette Experience! We hope that you will have a wonderful dining romance.

We got 3 filet mignon dinners, 1 dessert, and coffee for $89. The steaks were cooked perfect. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Magnificent! This is our favorite place to eat, 8 times in 5 weeks and never a bad meal. Everyone we have taken to Madame Janetteā€™s said this was the best on the Island. We will be back next year for more great meals. Thank you for a grand dinning experience.

Food is good, great romantic atmosphere. Found service a bit slow, over 30 minutes for appetizers 1 soup, 1 salad and 1 lobster ravioli. Serer never came over during this time also never asked for a second round of cocktails.

We visited Aruba for the sixth time in October. Madame Janette is one of our favorite restaurants. The rack of lamb is exceptional. I did, however, try a filet mignon special and the steak was not really great. Plan on spending a long time there as the service is a bit on the slow side.

Our first night's visit to Aruba came with much anticipation of dining at Madame Janette's. Unfortunately, the experience did not begin well...with a bus backing out of the small parking area. Obviously, Madame Janette's has been discovered by the masses.

We were seated in the outdoor dining area which was lovely. An acoustic guitar player added a magical element to the atmosphere.

Ken dined on the special of the evening a rib-eye steak which he surprisingly found to be tough. Inexcusable in Aruba. I had the almond crusted grouper which was dry. Both meals were a disappointment but decided to try dessert. We ordered the Black Forest Cake and found it to be mediocre.

Although the sevice was pleasant, it was slow.

Quite possibly it could have been our anticipation of a great meal after years of dining at Madame Janette's, but the remaining six meals at various restaurants surpassed what was once our favorite dining spot.

It's hard to give up a favorite, so I'm sure we'll try Madame's again, but it won't be our first stop.

This was our first time at Madame Janette's. We had an outstanding dining experience however, just be aware that dining is outside and it can be hot. Try to get a table close to a fan. We will definitely go back the next time we're in Aruba.

Wow! This restaurant is a keeper. Everything was delicious & the portions were huge.Have their signature pork chop with those pancakes.Awesome! Service was great, too!Everything was great except we sat outside & there were a lot of cats milling around. We'll definately go back again but next we'll sit indoors.

What a treat this was! As was suggested, we sat outside and enjoyed our dining experience much more than had we dined inside...too hot inside. The puff pastry filled with mushrooms was perfect. I would definitely suggest that the Schnitzel be ordered by someone with a very hardy appetite or shared with another--large order..
The Duck Breast was sensational, we never anticipated such a culinary experience..just wonderful. This restaurant should be on every visitors list. Also, there were plenty of taxis waiting outside to take you back to your hotel after your meal.

First time at Madame Janette's. My wife had duck. She is usually cautious about duck because it can be greasy. This dish was great. An unbelievalbe sauce. I had the pork tenderloin cordon bleu, truly the best meal I have had on the Island in four trips. The price was very reasonable. Until this meal, El Gaugho's was our favorite resturant, but we had changed our opinion. (El Goucho's in still a must as well)
