Passions on the Beach
A dinner at Passions on the Beach is far and away the most romantic and unique Aruba restaurant experience on the island. Dine with your feet in the soft white sand and the soothing sound of the gentle waves caressing the shore. Watch the breathtaking sunset on Eagle Beach while tiki-torches slowly light the night. The fresh cuisine varies from meat to freshly caught fish while the desserts offer an indulgent treat you won't forget.

I read the reviews about this restaurant for the last year before going to Aruba and couldn't wait to go to this restaurant. I have been to many restaurants in Aruba before during my many visits to Aruba. From what I read this was going to be the best dining experience ever in Aruba since this restaurant gets very high ratings. Unfortunately I was extremely disappointed by how bad this restaurant was. I am from New York where some of the best restaurants in the world are so I guess I can say I know what good food is and is not. I think the prior reviews written here are by people who would say a Big-Mac and fries are delicious. I really was expecting a five star restaurant. The food was maybe 1 star. The preparation of the food was so tasteless and bland. Additionally, the waiter we had was so rude, that alone ruined our dining experience. The only thing this restaurant has going for it is the view on the beach as the sun was setting. Save your money, watch the sunset from the beach at your hotel and then go to dinner elsewhere. I thought I would save the long drive to Flying Fishbone and eat here. After eating here I realized the drive to Flying Fishbone is worth it. What a waste of a lot of money to see the sunset. I read some negative reviews here prior to going but thought to myself, maybe I should try it for myself. All I can say is, I should have listened to those negative reviews. They were 100% correct. Sorry to say, when I return to Aruba next year, I won't be returning to Passions On The Beach.

Our experience would have been excellent if it weren't for the fact that we were swarmed by insects half way through our meal. They were biting our feet and legs and crawling all over our food and into our drinks. We had to leave the restaurant before finishing our meal.

The experience was great. Our server was fabulous. He had a great personality and was very attentive. Between the sunset, the food and service, our experience is memorable.

Sorry, but not very good at all. Wife's multi seafood dish (seven seas) was overcooked, and spice used to season her mahi mahi made in non edible. My mahi was just not good at all. Two forkfuls and had to stop. Waiter was, I believe hesitant to come over, because he saw I wasn't eating my dish. Finally he came over, realized something was wrong and offered a replacement, but instead credited the price of my dish, which was nice but only fair. Coffee was good, and plastic wine glasses quite tacky for a romantic dinner. In all fairness, the view was fantastic, but the multiple bites (maybe sand fleas) on my wife's and my ankles just was the icing on the cake. There are much better options on the island, sorry to bash, I just dont see how this place receives such high ratings, maybe just for the view of the sunset.

We visited Aruba from 8-6-2010 to 8-13-2010. We ate at 6 different restaurants and all 6 family members agreed Passions On The Beach was by far the best restaurant experiance all week. So if you visit Aruba make sure you eat at Passions.

We ate at this restaurant when in Aruba about two weeks ago, and have not been able to stop thinking about the amazing watermelon salad! It was simply delicious--watermelon with high quality feta cheese, and the most incredible subtle bit of spice. We have tried to figure out how they created that warmth without too much heat or bite. I guess we are food nerds because we have literally tried to figure this out for two weeks now. Well, today I wrote to the restaurant and I received an amazingly quick reply, with the recipe!!!! Ooooh, I can't wait. (Thank you Marc Giesbers!)
Now, while I can have this delicious dish at home, alas, I cannot have the wonderful environment of Passions. How lovely to eat under the stars, with the gentle waves just a few feet away and my toes in the sand...ahhhh, i can feel it now. The rest of the food was yummy too and the service was very good.
Go to Passions for a lovely dinner--and an unforgettable watermelon salad.

Our meals were extremely disappointmenting. It was so highly rated that we were expecting the food to be superb. The food was mediocre at best. The appetizer we ordered was imitation crabmeat! ! We've eatin at all the top rated restaurants in Aruba and believe me, Passions belongs in the bottom 10.

The food was amazing, the servers were great, and the ambiance was incredible.

By far one of the best dining experiences I ever have had.

The staff at Passions is fantastic. The setting is beautiful and when Lenny Lake plays his music, you are in heaven.

However, the food tops the list.

Passions is a romantic, delicious, and friendly place to eat.

We are going back for our anniversary again this year in September- 2010.
