For good value for money this is definitely the place to go.We went to quite a few restaurants on our recent two week visit to Aruba but kapt returning to Tulip because the food, staff, environment cleanliness and value for money were excellent. Don't expect to rush through your meal in this relaxed atmosptere, but who wants to on holiday!

Tulip is like a good, faithful friend to us - everything is always good and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Had a nice, quiet lunch here, sat at the bar in the A/C, good food, cold beer, and good prices. The outside patio area is always very nice, too - especially at night with the twinkle lights.

We stayed at Bucuti last week and for our last night wanted to go some place close and cheaper. We had an 8pm reservation but got there at 7:35 (it was a shorter walk then we expected) and we were seated right away. The service was a little slow, but they had a large group under a tent on the grass. The waiter was hard to understand but all our food was right. I had never had Keshi Yani before so I don’t know what its supposed to taste like but I really liked it. My husband had the special which was a grouper fish. That was very good as well. I had the cheesecake and he had the key lime pie for dessert. The cheesecake was good and he liked the pie. Overall it was a good experience and we'd go again.

We had a hard time understanding the waiter & it looks like he had a hard time understanding us. I ordered the mixed grill with mushroom sauce, but got the barbecue sauce instead. DW ordered the Red Snapper, but got Mahi-Mahi instead. The Mahi-Mahi was very fishy & DW didn't eat it. I gave her the chicken from my mixed grill. We had a pitcher of Sangria, which we both liked. When we got the check, the Red Snapper was listed so, maybe the cook screwed up? The waiter didn't ask why DW didn't eat the fish. Very doubtful that we'll go back. Cost with tip = 68.70

My new wife and I first stopped into Tulip because it was close to our condo and we were tired from travelling. We had read negative reviews online about Tulip before arriving in Aruba but decided to try them anyways.

Long story short...it was one of our favorite places to relax on the island.

The food was affordable and delicious (although their lunch menu could use some more options)and the environment was casual through the day but was actually quite classy and elegant for the evenings. Most of all the reason my wife and I enjoyed Tulip was due to the staff. Our waiters were extremely friendly (one even took us to another bar after Tulip closed so we could have drinks and meet his father, who was working there) and the manager/bartender/waiter was knowledgeable, funny and extremely helpful during our stay in Aruba (he also offered to take us with him one night after the bar closed to hang out with him and some of his friends).

The staff there went totally out of their way to make sure we had an amazing time on the island and we feel like we made some real friends there.

If you go to Aruba you should make sure you try Tulip.

Wed - 06/24 Tulips
I had Kesha Yeni, Wife had Chicken Sate. Most of the tables were occupied & service very slow except. Our young female server seemed to be sleepwalking - she totally forgot the appetizer I ordered. There was an older Oriental server named Teo that was hustling all over the place to make up for the sleepwalking girls that didn't want to be there. Even though Teo wasn't our waiter, he helped take care of us. We thought the pitcher of Sangria was excellent, but had to ask for a glass of ice a few times since it didn't come with any ice in it. It was by far the best Sangria we've had in Aruba. Wife loved her Chicken Sate. This was the first time I've had Kesha Yeni - not what I expected- from the descriptions, thought it was going to be swimming in cheese. But, it reminded me of a lasagna was just small chicken chunks in a creole sauce (an Italian sauce would have worked better IMHO) topped with a slice of melted cheese. If this was authentic Kesha Yeni, I won't be ordering it again. We'll give Tulip's another try in September.

Lovely, inexpensive place to dine with nice casual, outside seating. Service was nothing less than perfect and we thought the Keshi Yena was one of the best we've had on the island.

We love keshi yena and so we stopped into Tulips to try theirs. Unfortunately, it was the worst keshi yena we have ever had in Aruba. Another person at our table, had the grouper and mashed potatoes and he also was very unhappy with the taste of his meal (he said he was certain the mashed potatoes were instant and the grouper was very bland and not to good) Perhaps we were just there on an off night.

We did have good service and the place was nice in a little court yard. We had made a reservation and we were seated immediately upon coming to the restaurant.

We really enjoyed Tulip. After several more fancy dining experiences, we enjoyed the low-key environment and good simple food. We ate the mixed grill and lasagna...both were good. Meals were between $15 and $25 with most around $20, which is on the less expensive side in Aruba. Not cheap, but not pricey.
The dessert was great, and we enjoyed being able to sit on the deck for as long as we wanted. The relaxed atmosphere was nice, but with that came fairly slow service. Not a great place if you are in a hurry, but for a nice, less serious dining experience, Tulip is perfect.

Very cute little, casual restaurant at MVC on Eagle Beach and a great place for an inexpensive lunch or dinner - pretty at night sitting on the terrace. Nothing fancy on the menu but the food is very good and the prices are not fancy either (good value for your dollar!)
