Outstanding

We go to Windows every year and it continues to draw us back. The meal was a little bit pricey, but was worth every penny when you consider quality and atmosphere. Will return again.

What a great restaurant. It is a must for anybody who enjoys fine dining at its best. A great view sitting above the golf course with the Carribean in the distance, this restaurant reminds me of a quiet retreat you can visit to be away from the beach and shopping during the day. You are warmly welcomed when you enter the restaurant and are perfectly taken care of for the rest of your dinner. Don't ever change, you do the island very proud. DON'T MISS THIS GREAT EATING ESTABLISHMENT.

Best food on the island!

Jan 31, 2013 - posted by
We stopped at Windows with a party of ten, due to a large time wait at another restaurant. Our Hostess Sonja made accommodations for our large (and lively) group within minutes. It was a birthday celebration and Sonja was sweet enough to provide complementary champagne for our whole group. This restaurant was by far our best meal on the island. We have been coming to Aruba for six years, have a fairly sophisticated palate and have tried all the top choices for restaurants. Each one of our party (of 10) were thrilled with our appetizers, meals and desserts. The foie gras appetizer was at the top of the list! Kudos to the chef, server and Sonja for making our stay so memorable! This dinner started off our two week stay and no other dinner compared, all the other restaurants were down hill after this one. Five stars from a very picky group from Connecticut and New York!

Save for your last evening

Finest restaurant on the island in terms of presentation, decor and ambiance. Panoramic views overlooking golf course are breathtaking, not to mention the high end installation including marble tables. The food is creatively plated and the settings are beautiful. The service is very relaxed( I don't know what David on 12/19 is talking about) and of very good quality. Sonja is a delight. Also dined at Papillon, Carambola, and Madame Jeanettes, and this was far superior.

Great food but service is not the best

Jan 2, 2013 - posted by
My husband and I ate dinner here twice because we were staying at the Divi and it was right outside our door. Both nights we were asked if we had reservations (both times there were only two other tables so don't see why they wanted reservations). I guess having dinner at 8:30/9 is late but their hours said they were opened till 10. The second night we had dinner they were closing up the restaurant around us even though it was only 9pm. Both nights the servers took forever to take our orders and our check. We had to keep flagging them down to get them to do their job.
The food was thankfully wonderful. It made up for the poor service. Over the two nights we had the scallops, chicken, crab, duck, lamb, and the hazelnut dessert. The only negative about the food is that when the dish says duck and risotto, I expect more than one tablespoon of risotto. Maybe that's just being an American that I expected more food on the plate.

One of the BEST of the Island

What a joy it is to come to a restaurant knowing that all aspects of the dining experience will be more than met.

Windows is one of the BEST restaurants on the island of Aruba. It's internal ambience is wonderful, and they had a saxophonist/flutist playing during our meal.

We were greeted by (I believe) the owner and brought to our table.

Our waiter had to be the friendliest we have had ever. He was knowledgeable and engaging.

The appetizers were all phenomenal. I had the teriyaki tuna. Absolutely mouth watering just thinking about it.

Main courses, either fish or meat, were equally delicious.

Desserts... outstanding.

By the way, the wine list is exceptional and reasonable.

In the end, you will spend the same amount of money here, as you will eating at some of the "local" places, who have now jacked up their prices.

Eat here, and you will leave with a satisfied smile.

Much to do about nothing!

Went to this restaurant in October 2012 with 2 children (6 and 3) and a handicapped senior. From the very beginning the meal was rushed and the staff were brisk and gave the impression of wanting us to finishe and get out (even though kids were quiet and calm). Once main course arrived, we were forgotten until a request was made for the check. Will not return, much better to be found on the island.

Oh What a night!!

My wife and I were staying at the Divi Villages and noticed the restaurant. It looked really neat so we thought we wopuld try it.Our friends were celebrating an aniversary so we wanted a special place. Boy did we make a great choice! The hostess Sonja is amazing. She pampered us and really went out of her way to make our evening special. Champagne, a special aniversary certificate (suitable for framing) for our friends, and a special personalized desert presentation really made a night to remember. Lynn our waitress could not have been nicer. She was very friendly and attentive to all our needs. The food was tremendous. The ambiance was exceptional. We will always make it a point to eat here when we are in Aruba. We highly recommend Windows as one of the top restaurants in Aruba. (we have eaten in most of the best on the island)

Best Brunch in Aruba

Oct 22, 2012 - posted by

What an awesome experience! The setting is spectacular with views of the golf course and the sea. Terrific live jazz playing throughout, a hostess - Sonja - who is probably the best to be found anywhere and a great menu to select various selections from that are delivered to your table complete the reasons for why this is the best brunch anywhere else. No standing in line at a buffet here. The wait staff is excellent and made sure our mimosas and champagnes flowed throughout. When we mentioned to Sonja that we had just recently been married she sent a lovely treat for us to help celebrate. How sweet is she?!! Skip the beach on Sunday the next time you go to Aruba and head here. You won't be sorry.
