Chalet Suisse

Food was good, service was excellent, atmosphere just okay. Something about this place that just doesn't make me excited for dinner. Had a great salad and good onion soup. Also had our usual Toblerone fondue for dessert which just didn't work for me this year - it was just okay. Some friends wanted to go here for the dessert (and dinner) so I was along for the ride but it's not one of my usual favorites.

This is by far my favorite restaurant in Aruba. I have come for the early bird specials as well as the regular menu and each time I have totally enjoyed my meals. Each time I have come, Humphrey has been my waiter. He is attentive, professional, and always makes me feel special. I have to say that the rest of the wait staff is equally attentive as well. The service and food is top notch! I enjoy dining at Chalet Suisse so much that I dine here 1-2 times during my vacation.

Nice greeting thanking us for booking online and having our hotel concierge confirm. Excellent table location, one of the "romantic nooks" that was more private than other tables. Service was very attentive. Escargot appetizer was good. Rib eye special and filet mignon were both excellent and cooked to our specification. Portions were large. Apple tart desert with ice cream was okay. Will definately return next year.

My husband and I tried your restaurant a few years ago and have been back each time we come to Aruba. We have also shared this experience with our friends because we know they will love it as much as we do.
I have tried many dishes and all have been perfectly tasty and presented. We are in Aruba for 4 weeks and dine at Chalet Suisse at least 1 - 2 times each week. It is a treat to write home about.

Our annual visit to Aruba was from 8/6 to 8/16 this year. We enjoy the island for many reasons, with one of those being the service and food at our favorite restaurant, Chalet Suisse. We have visited Aruba ten times now; nine of those being consecutive. On early trips, we tried out numerous restaurants, until we came upon Chalet Suisse. For us, there is no comparison to the other restaurant choices regarding the friendly, attentive service, and the quality of meal served up by the entire Chalet staff.

Benny, Humphrey, Judy, Joaquin, Ruben, Gino, Lelaine, Yajaria, Jairo and others, (whose name tags we missed...Sorry!) are all very welcoming, friendly and provide wonderful service. Our compliments to the Chef and kitchen staff as well, for the delicious meals we always have at the Chalet.

Some of our favorite menu items (too numerous to list them all), are the Lobster bisque soup, Lobster tail, Shrimp Scampi, Wiener Schnitzel, Chateaubriand, Filet Mignon, Boeuf Stroganoff, and Zuricher Geschnetzeltes. If you have room for dessert, we would recommend the Viennese Apple Strudel, Creme Brulee, and Chocolate Fondue with fresh fruits. Your taste buds will thank you.

Why eat elsewhere when this is the best! We can’t say enough good things about the Chalet Suisse. We highly recommend this as your dining choice while staying on Aruba.

The food was absolutely wonderful. My daughter had the steak "Madagascar" and she loved it. I had the rack of lamb, I never had it anywhrere else where it was this good. My husband had the duck. it was crispy and delicious. The only problem we had was the maitre'd, Benny. He kept appearing at our table with annoying jokes about my rack of lamb bones appearing to be very clean for a women. Later, rushed us to finish our food. Otherwise, it was a great meal.

My husband & I loved this place. The food is great & we left stuffed & happy. I had the best mojito here (better than Cuba's Cookin!). My husband & I both had the onion soup which was huge & very cheesey. My husband had the stroganoff & I had the strip steak (the best I had in Aruba). We finished with the chocolate cake & creme brulee. The desserts were just ok but the food was delicious & portions are very large. Service was excellent & super friendly (thank you Judy!). Prices were fair too. Our bill with tip was $119 ( that is with 2 cocktails, 2 soups, 2 entrees, 2 desserts & the 15% gratuity which was included). We will definitely go back the next time we're in Aruba.

I am so glad a friend of ours told us that Chalet Suisse was their favorite restaurant. We tried it when we first arrived in Aruba this year and ended up going back a second time that week. We loved it. Our waiter, Humphrey, was excellent, along with the rest of the waitstaff. Our food both nights was fabulous. We had onion soup, rack of lamb, steak with madeira sauce, rib eye and chilean sea bass, and some great deserts. Can't wait to recommend this restaurant to our other friends who go to Aruba.

We made the early bird special and it was a great deal. The lobster bisque soup was great, the steak was great, and the dessert was excellent. The wait staff was the friendliest I have ever encountered. Keep up the good work.

Celebrated the birthday of friends earlier this month here and as always, loved every moment of it! The staff treat you like family, the setting is lovely, the food is excellent and presented beautifully. They are attentive to children and of course, to the guests of honor. We always make at least one visit to Chalet Suisse on our annual trip to Aruba and we're never disappointed!
