Chalet Suisse

No trip is complete without a visit to Chalet Suisse. My favorite on the island. Relaxing, easy, delicious. Humphrey is the best waiter.

My husband and I have been coming to Aruba for over 14 yrs and our trip is not complete if we don't go to Chalet Suisse at least once. The service is outstanding and so is the food. your experience starts with Bennie at the front door who is always willing to make your dinner an unforgetable experience. We recommend this resturant to everyone on the island that we run into.

They specialize in steaks and do a great job with it. My wife & I ordered the chateaubriand for two and it was outstanding. Their desserts were very good as well. The service overall was great, although we didn't care for the woman taking the drink order. She rushed us and once she saw we weren't ordering an expensive bottle of wine she gave us the cold shoulder....very nasty. The decor was very outdated and nothing exciting about it. But if you're looking for a great steak, this is the place to go.

We dined at Chalet Suisse on Monday April 13, 2009 and again on Wednesday April 15, 2009. This resturant is one of the best if not the best on the island. Great service from Benny to our server, Humphrey and all the other waiters. They all make you feel welcome and are all very attentive. As for the food it was outstanding. For starters we had some Fried Calamari, Chalet Suisse Seafood (a must to have) and a bowl of French Onion Soup. I had the meat grill which was superb, my wife had the Chilean Sea Bass and my daughter had the Filet Mignon (both outstanding). The Chocolate Fountain was a great ending.
The second dinner was just as good. This time we brought friends from LaCabana and they loved the meal also. They raved about the service and food.
I will make sure I return every trip for at least one if not 2 visits. Keep up the good work Benny! Outstanding as usual!! The Guy Family from New York

We've been to Aruba four times and the food here is always delicious! I had the filet with the mushrooms and spinach and it was out of this world. My sister-in-law and husband shared the Chateau Briand and were in heaven. Unfortunately, our son fell asleep with his head on the table before dinner arrived. Humphrey was great and made sure he was comfortable and packed up his food to go for us. Great place. Thanks Humphrey for another great service!

I have been to this restarant a number of times over the years and have always been very happy with the service and food.The best in ARUBA.

Overall we found this place to be a Swiss-themed Denny's, Perkins, IHOP or Bob Evans, take your pick.

Food was very boring, place too bright and we felt like we were in chain restaurant in the States. Guess it's OK if you're bringing a bunch of kids but if you want something special, go elsewhere.

We go to the island annually and take the children. This restaurant is on our select list to go to each year because of its food, service, and accommodation to the children. This year was wonderful again and I would recommend it not only for a romantic evening but even the families can go and feel welcome. I will definitely be back and look forward every year to its rack of lamb and great staff.

Another great dining experience. Same way for last 8 years. Never had a bad meal, NY Tenderloin is my favorite. Carol like everything on the menu!

My wife and I had our anniversary dinner there last week. We were impressed! Our server, Humphrey, was excellent and answered all our questions and generally provided an excellent dining experience. The food was just great and perfectly prepared. We recommend Chalet Suisse to everyone and be sure to ask for Humphrey.
