We saved the best for last during our trip to Aruba! I had the Filet Mignon Madeira and it was seriously the best steak I have ever had. My husband had the lamb with mint jelly and was equally pleased. The staff treats you like family and the service is incredible. We will be sure to return to Chalet Suisse on our next trip!!

Each and everytime we pass this place in Aruba it sends a pain in my side. It is the most pompous overrated letdown on the island. If you are not one of their special guests you are treated like an inconvenience. The food was overcooked and bland, overpriced and I wished that Benny would have said welcome never again because thats when we will try it again. Save your money and go to one of the other fine restaurants. THE WORST EXPERIENCE IN !! YEARS WE HAVE TRAVELLED TO ARUBA!!

This was the best experience in our whole visit last week. I could not think of a bad thing to say about the whole night. We were seated in a cozy window seat for two and enjoyed three amazing courses with great service and very nice conversations with the staff. Indeed I felt like we had gone out to dinner with friends and were enjoying the company as well as the food. Everything we ate was cooked to perfection was well presented and very tasty. The cocktails were fun and not too heavy. We definitely did not want to leave when we had finished we could have curled up with an after dinner drink and carried on our conversations. I so wish this had been where we had decided to spend our last night in Aruba as we would have left with a nice warm feeling of good food and good service and exceptional environment. It is not a cheap place to eat but it is well worth every penny we paid.

Our dinner at Chalet Duisse in August 2007 was so memorable that we decided to make it our last-night dinner on August 25, 2008. It was just as memorable, and being expat Americans now living in Paris, we are hard to please! Our waiter, Humphrey, is a delight: Warm, not overbearing, humorous, efficient. The French chef de cuisine, Yves, came out to talk with us for a while, and we had a fascinating conversation with this fine culinary artist. My wife is a Wienerschnitzel 'afficinado' (go figure!) and she claims that the one she ordered here was the best she's ever had. My Beef Stoganoff was scrumptious, and I would happy to have one as good served to me in a Paris restaurant. The service was impeccable, with the delightful Lucia serving cocktails efficiently and always with a smile. When we return to Aruba, Chalet Suisse will be on the top of our 'return list' for sure!

We have been dining at this restaurant for over a decade now, and have never had anything less than a stellar experience. Benny welcomes us warmly each time (remembering our names), and the staff (Humphrey, Ruben and Judy) deliver impeccable service. The bartender knows his stuff (which is a real treat), and the cocktail service at the tables is right on the mark every time. What more could a person ask for?

For two people, the Chateaubriand is perfect (with the St. Francis Old Vines Zinfandel if you really want to do it right....) or the sea bass with the Babich Sauvignon Blanc for those who desire the best in seafood. There is no way to top this place.....

While the food is superb, it's the people that make it happen. These folks know how deliver an experience.

My husband and I dined at Chalet Suisse on August9 9, 2008. This was the first time we had been to Aruba and we found the food all over the island excellent. We went to Chalet Suisse because several people had said it was outstanding and we weren't disappointed. The entire evening was fabulous - atmostphere, service, and food. Humphrey, our waiter, had suggested I try the Chalet Chicken - it was delicious. My husband couldn't say enough about how delicious his steak was. If we go back to Aruba - we would definitely go back there. It was a 10 star to us!

My wife and I recently came home from our annual visit to Aruba, 8/1 to 8/11 this year. Ten years ago, when we first visited the island, we tried a number of different restaurants. Over the first few years of visits, we tried additional restaurants, in addition to the Chalet Suisse, but kept finding ourselves comparing the quality and service against the Chalet Suisse as the benchmark. Although there are definitely numerous restaurant choices on the island; we have made Chalet Suisse our favorite place to have dinner on the island. Of our recent ten day visit, eight dinners were at the Chalet (the two Sundays of the visit we had to go elsewhere as Sunday is the one day the Chalet is closed).

We have nothing but great things to say about the restaurant and its staff, as they are all very welcoming, attentive, and friendly. Benny, Humphrey, Ruben, Joaquin, Pedro, Jairo, Gino, Lelaine, Yajaria, and others (whose name tags we did not catch) are a wonderful staff. (please forgive any name misspellings!)

And of course, besides the service, the other reason one chooses a restaurant is the food. Kudos to the Chef and kitchen staff as well for the marvelous meals we always have at the Chalet. We have never, in ten years of visits to Aruba, ever once had a bad meal there.

We have traveled to other Caribbean islands, Europe, and within the US; and by far; the Chalet Suisse is our favorite restaurant of all. We highly recommend Chalet Suisse to anyone looking for excellent food and service!

Chalet Suisse by far had the best service of any resaurant we visted during our vacation in Aruba this month (August 2008)!

Humphrey our server was outstanding as well as all of the other staff! They were also great with my four children, all 13 and under!

The beef stroganoff is outstanding! I would hold off on appetizers to take a shot at the deserts which are excellent!

Again I cannot say enough about the service the atmosphere and the food!
