Chalet Suisse

We've eaten here a few times and every meal has been excellent. The service at tableside impeccable, and the staff very attentive.

Dined here on 7/16/07. The food and service were outstanding. Had the Chicken Vol-u Vent, it was excellent. Also had Filet Mignon, cooked perfectly. Highy recommend this restaurant.

We visited Chalet Suisse on the last night of our week in Aruba. It did not measure to any of the restaurants we dined at earlier in the week (such as Madame Janette, Papiamento or Le Dome). The menu is pretty standard. My wife's veal chop was nothing special (she said) and a bit salty. My veal cordon bleu was also nothing special. The "famous" apple strudel dessert was also nothing special. It was crowded so the place is apparently popular. I guess our tastes are just different. We will try some other places on our next trip down.

After many years of visiting Aruba I finally made it to Chalet Suisse.
I must say the food was top quality especially the Lobster tails the best I've had on Aruba . Also I'd like to compliment the staff they do a great job, very professional service. The management requests that you dress up a little , I like the old world elegance , you can be casual but is nice to see people properly attired for dinner. The Tiramisu for dessert is a must !!! its the real thing, you don't get that in too many places. I would return to Chalet Suisse and recommend it highly to all.

Ok heres what I remember from this restaurant, the Maitre D and my mom had a worldwind affair. He was very friendly and accommodated us everytime we dined here. The first time we had dinner here which was very good. The second time just dessert...so yummy. I really enjoyed my peach melba and the banana split was also a classic. Who can mess up ice cream anyhow? But the dish were very good, the atmosphere is a bit stuffy but the chalet is cute on the outside. The owner actually lives in it which I think is very cool. I would recommend eating here, the food is good and the staff is oh so friendly. That Maitre D and his fancy ways. :)

Just got back from Sunny Aruba, and wanted to mention what a nice dining experience we had at Chalet Suisse.

We went two times, we loved it so much. Great service, delicious food,
We went with a large party for one of our buddies birthdays, and alone for a romantic dinner for two. (best seat in the house, by the way)

This will be one of our regular spots each year, two visits for sure.

My husband had the famous rib-eye, and I had the schnitzel, flavor, presentation , wonderful. Highly recommend!

Chalet Suisse was recommended to us by our driver Donnie and he was right on the money! This was our second trip to Aruba but our first at the Chalet Suisse. The service was perfect! We split a meal which cost $5 but I was given a potato and vegetable not just an extra plate like other restaurants. We split the rack of lamb, delicious. We had the chocolate fondue for two for dessert. We're dining here again for sure!

We dined twice at Chalet this year. Their Beef Stroganoff and Lamb Chops are outstanding. Perhaps the best Lobster tail on the island as well.

We own 3 weeks at the Lacabana, because it is so close we dine here atleast once a week. My wife has the Beef Stroganoff which is the best she has ever had. I usually have the Rack of Lamb which is excellent. We have ordered dessert once in the 4 years have eaten here the portions have been more than enough to fill us up. Benny & the staff are great. A must resturant to visit.

Best Beef Stroganoff I have ever had, besides my wifes. That being said...it is a mill/factory environment AND the bar host/waitress is RUDE, GRUFF, ARROGANT AND A SPITFIRE that I can live without for the dining experience here.

She must be related to the owner otherwise she would have been gone a long time ago.
