Disappointed Wingman

Dec 1, 2018 - posted by
We were walking the Palm Beach area and saw the Hooters sign. Thought we would drop in and have some wings and a cold beer. After requesting several beers, I finally asked, what beer do you have on hand? I've had a lot of Hooters wings and wings from other chains, but not sure how these were done...even my wife asked how they were and she's not a big wing eater. My Wendy's chicken earlier in the day was better.

Very poor quality food and service...

We vacationed in Aruba last week. We were by the high rise hotels and saw the lunch special for Wednesday (boneless wings / fries for $5.99) and figured we'd stop for lunch. We have been to various Hooters in the US and were looking forward to it. I must say, this was one of the worst meals we've had at Hooters. The boneless chicken was so greasy and we had ordered mild boneless wings, so they sent them out without any sauce. The waitress brought out food that we did not order and was more worried about hula-hooping than attending her only table. I was a bit disappointed and it doesn't surprise me that we were 1 of 2 tables in the resturant that was occupied. We will not be returning to this location.

My wife and I originally visited the restaurant in 2005, and not much has changed since then. The menu, which emphasizes chicken wings and burgers, was comparable to the United States. Service was prompt and attentive. The restaurant is clean. It was worth it for the price, as we had no unusual expectations for this place. We would definitely return for a change of pace to the other restaurants on the island. I really would not bring kids to this place. It is more for adults or if you want a decent sports bar to follow your favorite team with a cold Balashi and good friends. It is my understanding that the restaurant is moving sometime later this year.

Typical Hooters - food is wings ' n' burgers and done ok. Friendly service by young ladies who would never get a job at Hooters elsewhere! They did not possess world-class Hooters!!

Last week walking around the hotel area we decided to have dinner at Hooters. The Chicken wings "Daytona style" were the best. The servers were very attentive and even did some Hula Hoop with my son. Overall a great dinning experience

We have not been to many other Hooter locations, but this one in Aruba was definitely disappointing enough to not return:
- very poor service (restaurant was not even full-house and there were many waitresses and kitchen staff on the job);
- unfriendly waitresses;
- orders taken wrongly on beverage and spicyness of wings; we were served a plate that we did not order;
- extremely long wait to be served our orders (approx 40 mins).
If this was the cheapest restaurant in town, perhaps one would settle for it, but for more or less the same price (for comparable food items) in a casual/sports bar dining environment, you would get so much more for your money at TGIF or Iguana Joe´s which are excellent places!.

Our teenaged son asked to be taken to Hooters for lunch on his birthday...I wonder why, ha-ha?? The wings, burgers, hot dog and other food was very tasty. The service was lovely as well. While this is not a fancy place, we truly enjoyed our meal.
